Back in the Day with Mark Pisarskis is your portal to the past every Sunday Night. Re-live the 70s, 80s, and 90s as Mark and special guests discuss good times and play great music. Dripping with nostalgia and hopefully a few laughs, we’ll fill your Sunday evenings with memories from live gigs, all-nighters, boom-boxes, and blue light discos. Derek Cromb has been presenting Play the Blues since 2001 and is a station Life Member. Join Derek each week as he presents his feature artist and plays four tracks from their new or recent album together with the best blues tracks in town. Regular segments include “Something Old, Something New” where he plays the original version of a track followed by a new or recent cover. Derek is sure to play music from new and exciting artists that you will enjoy.

On air since 2010 Sunday sounds has been a staple of our Sunday programming. Join Alan as he plays a selection of music not likely to be heard on other stations, feature albums in their entirety and often A and B side singles from artists. Alan also usually features a top 40 countdown on a monthly basis from a year in the past, accompanying these tracks with other music from the same year. Sunday Sounds is pure listening pleasure.

Chris Webb has been presenting the Wall of Sound since 2001 and is a station Life Member. Affectionately known as “The Local Yokel,” Chris explores all music genres, playing anything from anywhere! You will hear tracks you may not have heard before, as you broaden your music knowledge, as well as hearing some classics you’re sure to know and love. The “King” for Chris is of course, Elvis Presley.

Country Roads is a blend of country and folk music and all related sub genres. Steve plays an eclectic mix from decades past and today’s great sounds throughout the course of his two-hour program. Regular segments include “On this Day in Country Music” where he plays tracks with historical significance and his trademark segment “Odd but Even” where he ventures into another musical genre and plays a track that is odd in nature but even in quality. A John Denver track is usually also on the playlist.

Relax into your Sunday morning with Margaret as she plays a mix of chilled tunes and acoustic favourites. Margaret’s extensive knowledge of music is showcased as she features a different artist each week. She will play a number of tracks from them, providing thoughtful insights into their careers and music milestones. Regular segments include “The Birthday List” and “Useless Information.”

Join Cambo for his Friday afternoon antics with a variety of frequent segments including special years, themes and interesting on-air interviews. During school terms, Mark will share the hosting responsibilities with the Broadcasting students at Edith Cowan University as they get an opportunity in the hot seat. Broadcast live from the ECU Mount Lawley campus, students will put their broadcasting skills to the test, playing you their favourite music and providing you with all the latest news and information. Punk music is often described as non-conformist, fast tempos and shouted lyrics, which is why we love it! Join Don each week as he explores all the different genres of punk in an action-packed two-hour program. Don will play pop punk tracks from the mid 90’s to present as well as other sub genres like grunge, emo, punk rock and others. If Greenday, The Offspring, Blink 182, Nirvana and The Living End are your thing then Shades of Punk is for you!

The Best of Oz has been on-air since 2019, playing the very best in Australian music, with a particular focus on rare tracks not often heard on commercial radio. Kim has a weekly feature album, playing several tracks from that album, together with three new or recent Australian music tracks from a variety of artists. Kim’s regular segment “Live Pub Rock Bracket” indulges the live music fans, playing a number of live rock tracks for all to enjoy. The Best of Oz, everything great in Australian Music.

Thursday Kickback has been a part of the fabric of 89 7FM since 2016. Hosts Rhonda and Alan play a variety of great music from all genres from the 60’s to now, plus a number of interactive listener segments. These segments include a weekly theme (which includes listener requests), two feature artists, jokes, a good news story, “Believe it or not” and “On this Day in Music History”. A jam-packed Thursday Kickback to enjoy!

In Good Company has been on-air at 89 7FM for the last two years and is hosted by the wonderful Lisa Evans. Lisa focuses the program on the community and regularly has two or three live on-air interviews with special guests on various topics, from the environment to sustainability, most notably the arts. Lisa also plays great music of course, particularly music from the 80’s to today.
