In this episode of America’s Most Infamous Crimes, Katie Ring concludes our three-part series on the Idaho murders, and the investigation that led police to Bryan Kohberger. As detectives tracked the white Hyundai Elantra, analyzed cell phone data, and used genetic genealogy to identify a suspect, the case quickly came into focus. A DNA sample from a knife sheath, combined with surveillance footage and digital evidence, pointed directly to Kohberger. After his arrest, the case moved toward trial — but in 2025, Kohberger accepted a plea deal, avoiding the death penalty and receiving multiple life sentences. This episode explores how the case was solved, the role of digital evidence, and why one question still remains unanswered: what was the motive? Welcome to America’s Most Infamous Crimes. Katie Ring takes you deep into cases that have left a lasting imprint on society, and still haunt us today. In part two of our three part series, Katie examines the escalation of Ted Bundy’s killing spree in 1974, as he used a fake arm sling, calculated charm, and his understanding of police procedure to abduct young women in plain sight across the Pacific Northwest. Katie traces the growing pattern of disappearances, the jurisdictional gaps that allowed the crimes to go unconnected, and the mounting suspicions of Bundy’s longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, who reported him to police twice as the case grew wider and harder to ignore. Welcome to America’s Most Infamous Crimes. Katie Ring takes you deep into cases that have left a lasting imprint on society, and still haunt us today. Ted Bundy didn’t fit the image of a killer. He was educated, ambitious, and outwardly composed, the kind of man people trusted without hesitation. In this first episode, Katie traces the early fractures that shaped him: family secrets, rejection, mounting resentment, and the double life he quietly began to build. While pursuing politics and studying law, Bundy nurtured violent fantasies he would later describe as a dark force inside him called “the entity”. When he chose to give in to it, no one could predict what was coming.
