Today the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board recommended clemency be granted to 46-year-old Tremane Wood. Wood was convicted of stabbing and killing Ronnie Wipf during a 2002 New Year’s Day robbery. Wood has maintained his innocence for the past 2 decades, and his lawyers today presented a compelling enough argument that gave him a 3-2 decision in favor of clemency. A tragic story in the world of chess, as 29-year-old Chess Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky was found dead this week at his home in Charlotte. As of this recording, there is no official cause of death, but late this week police acknowledged they were investigating his death as a possible drug overdose/suicide. Meantime, much of the chess world is pointing fingers at 50-year-old former chess World Champion, Vladimir Kramnik who has viciously, repeatedly and baselessly accused Naroditsky of cheating over the years.
