Wasn't expecting blade runner spoilers in the year of our lord 2022
Just coming here after finishing the podcast years ago, loving the show for it being it’s own thing, and now regrettably sad that the show is now canceled. #NetflixSucks #Archive81NeedsANewHome
So I started watching the show and it renewed my interest in the podcast. As far as the show goes, I must say that I'm very impressed so far and the notion of fungi linked to beings that pose as deities while truly being demons has been a concept I've thought of for years but hadn't ever seen executed.
I'll try to keep this vague to avoid spoilers, in case anyone else is as late in discovering this awesomeness as me and/or reads the comments before listening to the ep. But the thinly-veiled reference to one of the undoubted influences on this podcast (of whom I am a massive fan, despite the obvious) absolutely cracked me up!
At this point, I am completely lost.
Great call out to Martha Wells and murderbot. Terrific character.
look at you, syndicated tv series! congratulations! on episode 2 right now
I'm freaking out about what just appeared on Netflix. I've been out of the loop for about a year and had to come back to say congrats! about to binge it!
Love it. Thanks for your work.
haha nice Die Antwoord reference
surprised to learn this is a podcast after watching the Netflix movie
whoa this got way far out there so fast it really lost my interest
he ate Ratty 😭
Season 1 and 2 are both good, but so different they might as well be different shows. Season 1 feels almost claustrophobic with its single location. The stakes are intensely personal for its main character and the horror is mystical and esoteric. Season 2 takes place in the terrifying vastness of a seemingly endless city. The cast goes from a single reporter and her interview subjects to a proper ensemble. The horror leans heavily on gore and body horror. Both are good at what they seek out to do, but different enough that some fans of season 1 may not care for season 2. And conversely, if you didn't like season 2 you could still enjoy season 2.
Wow, this podcast is really good! Darker than I would have thought, but I totally dig that! Very excited for the rest!
I just saw a Netflix series with the same name! I really hope that it's this!!!!!
sam's speech reminds me of wheel of time
