On December 4, 1985, 16 year old Jeffrey Lynn Smith disappeared while walking home from school in Hot Springs, Arkansas. 39 years later Jeffrey is still missing.

On April 23, 2005, the badly burned body of 30 year old Tosha Lampkin was found in the trunk of a rental car. The day before Tosha was found she traveled to Louisiana from Houston, TX to visit family. But a few hours after she arrived, Tosha was abducted and murdered.

On April 17, 2004 the body of 15 year old Silene Eaddy was found after she had been murdered and set on fire. Two day before she had disappeared after leaving her home in Columbia, SC. 20 years later her murder is still unsolved.

On May 10, 1988 23 year old Veronica Jefferson was found dead behind a local elementary school in Arlington, VA. Veronica had been shot to death. It took 17 years for her killer to be identified.

On November 13, 2007, 20 year old Latasha Norman disappeared after leaving class at Jackson State University. A few weeks later her body was found in a wooded are in North Jackson, Mississippi. She had been stabbed to death.

20 year old Lakira Goldsmith disappeared on November 28, 2018 in Montgomery, AL. She was last seen when her boyfriend dropped her off at home. But over 5 years later Lakira is still missing. Tonee Turner was 22 years old when she disappeared on December 30, 2019 in Pittsburgh, PA. Tonee was last seen getting off the bus at her normal stop, but no one knows if she ever made it home. 4 years later she too is still missing.

On November 16, 1994, 33 year old Marie Singleton-Jackson was found dead in the trunk of her car in Los Angeles CA. 4 days before, her husband had reported her missing. It would take nearly 2 decades before Marie's killer was brought to justice.

Two women murdered 6 weeks and 6 miles apart in very similar ways leads many to believe that a serial killer may have been at work. In December 2002, 27 year old Tamekia Taylor was brutally murdered in her home with knives from her own kitchen, 6 weeks later on January 27, 2003 Jennifer Clemmings was also murdered in her home with a knife from her kitchen. Are the similarities in these murders just a coincidence or the work of a a serial killer?

On June 9, 2016 a 3 year old girl was found wandering alone barefoot in a parking lot in Baton Rouge, LA, her mother 40 year old Lyntell Washington who was 5 months pregnant was missing and her car was covered in blood. 5 days later Lyntell was found shot to death in a drainage ditch.

What a travesty! This is so wrong!
I grew up the Tequila Suter. This devastated our community. She was a beautiful and smart young woman who had her life taken from her in such a horrid way.

There's about 4 of these cases that it's the baby daddy in. Some of them it's appallingly obvious. I feel like there's people lying to protect them or simply holding information inside and it's sad. Holding things inside eats away at you. And I understand some might be afraid of retaliation but if you know where there's evidence or something that's going to get him arrested, he's not coming for you in lockup. We need to start doing better for the victims out there. These pregnant women just wanted to have their babies. it's heartbreaking. Lastly, I believe we need to start charging for those unborn babies. Babies are surviving both younger and younger so they need to be counted as a separate charge when mom is killed.
I love this podcast! I saw you on the Tamron Hall show and decided that your show would be my first podcast EVER! And I am absolutely not disappointed, not at all. I am a 52 yr old black woman who is intrigued by true crime and the lack of attention shown to black women in the media. Please don't ever stop telling their stories. God bless you and yours.
First time listening this podcast great voice. Why did the dad lie about Valerie's race? I'm mixed could pass but I don't.
