Stacy Rost joins Salk to discuss John Schneider's comments on Sam Howell not precluding the Seahawks from drafting a QB. How likley do they think it is and who would they want? Then, we take your calls on when Scott Servais should consider changing the top of the order, and who might be a cheater in Salk and Maura's race. Plus, it's National Grilled Cheese Day so Salk ranks cheeses.
The first M's road trip in the books and it wasn't a particularly great one, so how is the vibe in the clubhouse and how are they responding to adversity? Shannon Drayer joins Salk to share her insight before our weekly adventure (and therapy session?) with Gee Scott.
The Mariners slow start has been the biggest topic in the entire baseball conversation but Salk shares some details from around the division that should put some M's fans at ease and lower stress levels. We play a round of 2024 NFL Draft rehearsal with Salk & Maura sharing their initial gut feeling/reaction to a handful of potential Seahawks draft picks.
Salk shares his experience from the evening spent at Scott & Jill Servais's 'All Paws On Deck' fundraising event last night and some of the surprises & interactions from attendees. We learn from yesterday's John Schneider Show that the Seahawks are still meeting with QBs and are "not out of the market" for one because

Brock & Salk are joined by Bruce Feldman to discuss the 2024 NFL draft.
The Mariners win yesterday gave Salk some pause to notice how Servais managed the game with more urgency than normal and explains what he saw before getting Brock into a "rapid-fire" question game for all the QBs in the 2024 draft. Brock's Blue 88.
The M's join the rest of MLB by scoring 6 runs for the first time in the season en route to a 6-1 win over Toronto in extra-innings thanks to a dominant Logan Gilbert start and the inevitable Cal Raleigh Canadian HR. Salk wants to know what the plan is for Sam Howell because the opinions are all over the map including other execs in the league. The guys seem very concerned about his jersey # choice. ESPN's Scott Van Pelt joins Brock & Salk from Augusta to preview the Masters Tournament before Brock's Blue 88.
Salk thinks it must be groundhogs day because the way the Mariners have lost in recent games feels like "déjà vu all over again" with the defensive issues and a scuffling start from the starting pitching. We revisit the conversation with ESPN's Jeff Passan.
Brock continues his look at Seahawks draft prospects with Michigan DT Kris Jenkins. Then, we discuss the Mariners complete system failure to start the season. They are not playing good baseball and its understandably frustrating but it doesn't mean that this is who they are. Plus, Justin and Salk have a shiny new Ranked for you.
Bill Barnwell shared his latest mock draft and both Brock & Salk mostly agree with this sentiment that Schneider & co should trade down, but will the Seahawks' drafting philosophy change now that Mike Macdonald has taken over as coach?ESPN Senior MLB Insider Jeff Passan joins the guys to discuss the arm injuries in MLB and the slow start by Julio and the rest of the M's.
Salk addresses the fans who wished the M's would have stood pat with last year's roster vs repeat the moves they made in 24 - but was that possible after the comments made from the clubhouse? M's manager Scott Servais joins the guys from Toronto to discuss his upcoming charity event (All Paws On Deck) and the team's progress through 11 games before Brock's Blue 88.
Another game and another rought start from a Mariners pitcher - Luis Castillo's 3rd in a row - as the M's fall in Toronto. The UCONN Huskies go back-to-back as NCAA MBB champions. We revisit the conversation with Cristine Brennan (USA Today).

Brock & Salk spend time discussing the NCAA Womens tournament and how much attention and success has been shown over the last two seasons worth of play, culminating in the most-watched game in its history. Conversation turns to Julio Rodriguez as the guys debate how to unlock Julio from being a streaky player to bringing a consistent dominance to his game. Brock's Blue 88.
Salk shares the bad and good from the weekend of sports - the good being the women's basketball, the bad being the Mariners inconsistent mess in Milwaukee. Maura takes us Around the Weekend of sports.
