Description

Care More Be Better, invites you to care more so we can create a better world together. We amplify the voices of environmentalists, activists, health and nutrition gurus, scientists, and leading experts who seek to make the world a better place. Over the course of more than 250 interview episodes, you'll hear from experts like Jean-Michel Cousteau, Paul Hawken, Nina Simons, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, Captain Liz Clark, Dr. William Li, Miyoko Schinner, John Roulac, Chef Babette Davis, Kelly Reyerson (@glyphosategirl), Donna Grantis and many more. These global change agents and activists create positive impacts and encourage us to think globally while also acting locally. Listen for free on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, on our website, and on most major podcast platforms.

Inspired by Paul Hawken’s aspirational book Regeneration - Ending The Climate Crisis In One Generation, and the late Dr. Wallace J. Nichols' Blue Mind Movement, this show aims to create a realistic roadmap to build a better future. As Paul Hawken simply states: “Global warming is not a science problem. It’s a human problem.” On this journey, you'll become the person you aspire to be by remaining curious, thinking deeply, and listening intently while looking inward. You'll discover your internal wisdom and learn to listen to your inner voice to receive the gifts nature provides fully. Become part of the regeneration nation by expanding your knowledge of agriculture, social systems, and help us build a more circular and just economy.

The stories we tell will get you thinking about how to secure the future for the human race and all Earth's inhabitants - from how you can build positive change in your local community, to how you might broaden your reach and impact globally.

In this powerful solo episode, Corinna Bellizzi challenges listeners to rethink what it means to protect free speech in a polarized world. Drawing from her own experience as a sustainability scholar at Prescott College and from her earlier conversation with author Tony Brasunas, she connects freedom of inquiry to the future of environmental and social regeneration. From the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination to the silencing of academic voices, Corinna reveals how fear and division erode the very foundations of democracy — and how mindful speech, empathy, and courage can help restore them. This isn’t just about politics. It’s about the future of care — for people, for the planet, and for truth itself. The worsening climate change continues to deliver an adverse impact on our food system, which leads to supply shortages and the rise of less nutritious sources. Maddie Hamann strives to solve this alarming problem through the PACHA bread. She joins Corinna Bellizzi to share how their organic gluten-free sourdough buckwheat bread is making huge waves in revitalizing the food industry. Maddie explains how PACHA bread helps heal both people and the planet, prioritizing taste and nutrition above anything else. She also shares how they team up with regenerative farmers across the country to help accelerate the growth of highly sustainable communities. Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, are so widespread today that it is present in the soil, air, food, and water. Since they are hidden in almost all kinds of everyday products, the PFAS crisis in the United States will only get worse – unless we do something about it. Corinna Bellizzi sits down with Rachel Frazin, an energy and environment reporter at The Hill, who talks about her new book that tackles how these “forever chemicals” are damaging numerous communities across the country. Rachel breaks down the most common diseases caused by PFAS exposure, from birth defects to fertility issues. She also shares how huge waves of changes are being made to address this crisis, and how everyday people can join the movement.   About Guest: Rachel Frazin covers energy and environment policy for The Hill: that’s everything from climate change to gasoline prices to toxic chemicals to renewable and fossil energy. She is originally from South Florida, and she studied journalism and political science at (the very cold) Northwestern University. Previously, her work has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, The Daily Beast, the Tampa Bay Times, and The Palm Beach Post. Mollie Engelhart’s journey from vegan chef and Los Angeles restaurateur to regenerative farmer in California and Texas is anything but ordinary. In her new book, Debunked by Nature, Mollie shares how motherhood, land stewardship, and firsthand farming experience dismantled long-held beliefs about veganism, soil health, and politics. In this candid conversation, we explore her personal and political transformation, the realities of running Sovereignty Ranch, and how she navigates both the ecological and ideological divides in today’s regenerative agriculture movement. From raw milk revelations to the necessity of animals in building healthy soil, Mollie challenges assumptions on all sides of the aisle. We also discuss the complexity of immigration reform, the pitfalls of partisanship in environmental issues, and her vision for a more sovereign, resilient future. Whether you agree with her or not, this dialogue will make you think about food, farming, and freedom in new ways. COMPLETE BLOG & TRANSCRIPT https://caremorebebetter.com/a-conservative-regenerative-farmers-journey-with-mollie-engelhart In this episode, you’ll learn: Why Mollie left veganism after becoming a farmer How regenerative farming confronts both environmental and political narratives The importance of coalition-building across ideological divides Realities of animal care and death on a regenerative farm Mollie’s approach to immigration reform and labor in agriculture Her vision for Sovereignty Ranch as a model of self-reliance About Guest: Mollie Engelhart is the executive chef and founder of Sage Regenerative Kitchen in Los Angeles alongside her husband Elias as well as a leader in the Regenerative Agriculture movement with 200 acres at Sovereignty Ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Her mission is to produce healthy food from healthy soil for her communities. Mollie is the mother of five, a film producer, poet, and thought leader examining the connections of humanity, family, soil, food, and culture, constantly questioning “Where do we go from here?” She is passionate about health freedom, natural birth, breastfeeding, regenerative agriculture, community, and humanity’s place in partnership with nature and God. As a self-proclaimed lifelong liberal, Mollie became confronted with the bureaucracy that destroyed her once thriving restaurants in Los Angeles during the pandemic. Mollie came to the conclusion that the democratic party did not center around family, God or freedom and now sees herself as a “radical centrist”. Since her revelations, Mollie has done many speaking events, giving testimony to how she became pro-life, the challenges of doing business in California, regenerative agriculture and the connection between soil and health. She regularly gets standing ovations and brings people to tears with her inspiring conversations. Mollie has been featured on podcasts, news outlets, public speaking engagements and more including; Texas State University, Epoch Times, Turning Point USA, Fox News, Bon Appetit, ABC News, NPR, Luke Storey, Max Lavine, Confluence and the Exit & Build Summit. The human footprint may not be easily measurable, but it is crucial in shaping the planet for better and for worse – but most of the time it is the latter. Corinna Bellizzi sits down with biologist Shane Campbell-Staton, PhD, who hosts the aptly named show "Human Footprint." He talks all about his experiences traveling around the world to delve into different human activities, cultures, and lifestyles to understand how they impact our society and environment. Shane also shares insights on how supermarkets changed the way we eat, the value of humanity’s fundamental interconnectedness, the true costs of hydroelectric power, and the truth behind the bee colony collapse.About Guest:Shane is interested in how human history, culture, technology and politics influence life, biological stress and evolution of species around the world. He uses physiology, gene expression, genomics and experimentation to identify genes and traits that allow animals to rapidly adapt to new environmental pressures faced in a human-dominated world. Shane also has a deep passion for sharing science with the public. His own passion for science was kindled through television as a child. Growing up in a small town in South Carolina, he was not exposed to much nature or the outdoors. But watching nature documentaries and TV shows featuring passionate presenters, like Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin, he developed a love for the natural world.
