CiTR -- Pacific Pickin'

We salute the life of Roland White this week as we mourn his passing in our artist feature sets. We have lots of birthdays to celebrate and a bit of new music. Enjoy and Stay Safe!

In honour of his birthday we are featuring Paul Williams from the early years of his performing career with some songs from the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers as well as some songs with Jimmy Martin as well as his own band The Victory Trio. We also have some other birthdays to celebrate and some great new music. Enjoy and Stay Safe!

On his birthday, we celebrated the music of Charlie Poole, some of which he sang and some of which we picked others performing his songs. We also had other birthdays to celebrate and some great new music. Enjoy and stay safe!

Our artist feature is a memorial to the late, great Mac Martin. Not as well known as some of the other artists of his generation, Mac provided some solid Bluegrass to Bluegrass fans in the Eastern US, particularly in his home area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We have some birthdays to celebrate and new music to introduce to you. Enjoy and stay safe!

We salute International Women's Day for 2022 by playing some of the pioneers and some of the later women involved in Bluegrass music. We could have used four hours this week and still only scratched the surface of the great music. Enjoy and stay safe!
