Katherine Aguasvivas is on a road trip, from her home in Homestead Florida, which is south of Miami, to central Florida to visit friends. After going through Orlando, Aguasvivas calls her husband Miguel in a panic.  She tells him that she is in Winter Springs, and there is a green Acura running into her back bumper. He tells her not to stop, and keep driving, but neither of them calls 911. At 5:30 p.m., Aguasvivas stops for a traffic light at the intersection. What goes down next is caught on camera by a witness. A man dressed in all black gets out of the Acura approaches the driver's side of Aguasvivas' Dodge Durango and threatens her with a gun. He forces his way inside, climbing into the back seat, and forcing Katherine Aguasvivas to drive. The eyewitness calls 911. A police affidavit says Tiffany Adams allegedly gave statements indicating she was responsible for the deaths of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley.  Investigators now say they believe Butler and Jillian Kelley were lured to the location, arriving around  9:40 a.m. Besides the pools of blood, officers found Butler’s glasses on the ground near a broken hammer.  Police say they believe the women were forced into another vehicle. Much information has been released in the probable cause affidavit, but not the women's cause of death. The bodies were found in a cattle pasture, leased by Tad Bert Cullum, the boyfriend of grandmother Tiffany Adams.  The location was narrowed down by cellphone data from three burner phones purchased by Adams. The phones first pinged at the location of Butler's abandoned car, the data then led police to the pasture property. Obvious signs of digging were discovered. A hole had been dug and filled back in. Inside the hole were the bodies of the missing women. The motive, according to investigators, is custody of Butler’s two children: a custody battle has gone on for more than five years. Father Wrangler Rickman, Tiffany Adam’s son, had custody of the children, but Rickman was confirmed to be in a rehabilitation facility in Oklahoma City.   Veronica Butler’s custody arrangement allowed her supervised visitation with her children every Saturday. And reportedly, according to Butler’s attorney, she was likely to be granted unsupervised visitation during an upcoming hearing. The affidavit states that  “Adams vehemently opposed this and went to great lengths to plan and purchase items used in Butler and Kelley’s murders,” It continues... “Adams, Cullum, Cole and Cora were willing to kidnap and murder two victims to limit visitation for Butler.” Court documents allege that Adams and the other suspects tried to killer Butler once before in February.  Adams, her boyfriend, and the other couple drove to Butler’s home near Hugoton, Kansas, intending to kill her. A witness told investigators that the planned was to throw an anvil through Butler’s windshield while she was driving. They reasoned that it would look like an accident, but Butler did not leave her home. As state investigators pulled information from Adams’ phone, it showed web searches for “taser pain level, gun shops, prepaid cellular phones, and how to get someone out of their house."  That’s also according to the probable cause documents.  Adams reportedly purchased five stun guns before the women’s disappearances, according to the documents. She bought three prepaid, unregistered burner phones from a Walmart near her.  All the prepaid burners stopped transmitting the mornings the women went missing. As James and Jennifer Crumbley awaited sentencing for their conviction for involuntary manslaughter, both sought to avoid jail. Their son Ethan Crumbley is serving life in prison for the school rampage where four were killed and seven others were injured. The gun used was given to the teen as a birthday present by his parents. James, convicted of involuntary manslaughter, asked the judge for "time served" and Jennifer asked the judge to let her serve her time on house arrest in a guest house at her attorney's home. Oakland County Prosecutor Marc Keast has recommended 10-to-15-year jail sentences for both Jennifer and her husband, James. While James was in jail,  damning phone conversations surfaced in which Crumbley had allegedly threatened Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald. In a call from October 9, 2023, five months before the trial, Crumbley says, “Yeah, Karen McDonald, you’re going down. … Go ahead, record this call. Send it to Karen McDonald. Tell her how James Crumbley is going to f------ take her down." In a call on December 23, 2023, Crumbley says, “There will be retribution, believe me."  The threats were bad enough that Crumbley's jail communication privileges were revoked during his trial.  Neither received the sentence they asked for. Bryan Kohberger's attorney has provided his official alibi for the early morning hours of November 13, 2022. Kohberger claims he was driving his car. In a newly-filed court document, Kohberger claims after he moved to the Pullman area he liked to go out and explore, and according to him, that is what he was doing when the four students were murdered, But Kohberger claims his cell phone data will back him up and prove that he was south of Pullman and west of Moscow at the time of the murders  Kohberger's official alibi claims, "Mr. Kohberger was out driving in the early morning hours of November 13, 2022; as he often did to hike and run and/or see the moon and stars, He drove throughout the area south of Pullman, Washington, west of Moscow, Idaho including Wawawai Park." To further solidify his alibi, Kohberger said he plans to offer testimony from a CSLI expert to show that he was south of Pullman and west of Moscow at the time of the murders and that he did not travel east on the Moscow-Pullman Highway on the early morning of November 13, 2022.  Joining Nancy Grace Today: Tara Malek – Bosie, ID, Attorney & Co-owner of Smith + Malek; Former State and Federal Prosecutor; X: @smith_malek Chris McDonough – Director at the Cold Case Foundation, Former Homicide Detective; Host of YouTube channel: “The Interview Room” William Slater – Cybersecurity Expert and Chief Information Security Officer at Slater Technologies. Sade Robinson tells a maintenance worker at her apartment building that she’s excited about her first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson. Robinson texts Anderson about where to eat and tells him she is "feeling seafood". Anderson takes Sade to a place he used to work, the Twisted Fisherman. After dinner, they spend some more time together having drinks at Duke’s on Water. The couple leaves Duke’s together around 9 PM.    Around 9 AM April 2nd, Sade Robinson’s friend and coworker reports her missing to Milwaukee Police. The friend says Robinson isn’t returning her texts or calls and didn’t show up to work that morning. The friend shows officers a Snapchat that Robinson posted the night before, showing Robinson was at a sports bar, Duke’s on Water, the night before. Officers note that earlier that morning, Robinson’s blue Honda Civic was found burning near 30th and Lisbon, 2 miles from her apartment.   5:30 PM April 2, Cudahy Police respond to a call along Lake Michigan.  At Warnimont Park, a popular recreation area, a park goer reports finding a severed human leg.  According to a post from the Cudahy Sheriff’s office, the limb was found "in or near the water," east of the golf course, near the pump house.     Three days after the Warnimont Park discovery, another call to police about a severed body part. 11 miles away from the shores of Lake Michigan, in a Milwaukee west side neighborhood, a body part is found at a playground.  Police received the call around 10 pm Friday night, but investigators are tight lipped on exactly where the body part is found, or what remains are recovered.   Within 24 hours, police respond to another call about the discovery of human remains.  On Saturday just a few blocks from the same west side Milkwaukee area as Friday’s discovery Police set up crime scene near a park.  Around 7:15 pm the medical examiner arrived to remove the body part. Police blocked off the area and canvassed well past midnight, according to neighbors.  The human remains are identified as belonging to Sade Robinson.   Joining Nancy Grace Today: Sheena Scarbrough - Sade’s mother Eric Faddis – Partner at Varner Faddis Elite Legal, Former Felony Prosecutor and Current Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation Attorney; Instagram: @e_fad @varnerfaddis; TikTok: @varnerfaddis Dr. John Delatorre –  Licensed Psychologist and Mediator (specializing in forensic psychology); Psychological Consultant to Project Absentis: a nonprofit organization that searches for missing persons; Twitter, IG, and TikTok – @drjohndelatorre Joe Scott Morgan – Professor of Forensics: Jacksonville State University, Author, “Blood Beneath My Feet,” and Host: “Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan;” Twitter/X: @JoScottForensic Alexis Tereszcuk - CrimeOnline.com Investigative Reporter, Writer/Fact Checker at Lead Stories; X: @swimmie2009  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Actor Alec Baldwin has been indicted again, charged with involuntary manslaughter by New Mexico prosecutors in the death cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The shooting on set during the production of the film, "Rust."  Baldwin was allegedly four feet from the crew on set in a mock church pew when he used his right hand to reach across his body to grab the gun holstered on his left side.  He was reportedly aiming the gun toward cinematographer Halyna Hutchins when he drew back the hammer and released it. The bullet first went through director Joel Souza’s shoulder before striking Hutchins in the chest, killing her. Ever since the shooting death of Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust, Alec Baldwin has claimed he didn't pull the trigger. Even after an FBI report contradicting Baldwin's account of the shooting saying the trigger had to have been pulled for the gun to fire, Baldwin still says he didn't pull the trigger. The FBI report says their testing proves the gun could not be made to fire without the pull of the trigger.   Accidental discharge testing determined that the firearm used in the shooting -- a .45 Colt single-action revolver -- could not have fired without the trigger being pulled. The FBI Report also says,  With the hammer in the quarter- and half-cock and fully cocked positions, the gun "could not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger. Alec Baldwin says he didn't pull the trigger  The armorer for the film Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was also charged and she has been convicted and sentenced on manslaughter charges. In recorded Jailhouse phone calls Gutierrez-Reed blasts the jurors calling them "idiots" and "A-Holes".   Prosecutors say the jailhouse recordings show how she really is outside of court. Gutierrez-Reed wants Alex Baldwin to go to jail too and says she won't testify at his upcoming trial if subpoenaed.  Joining Nancy Grace today:  Dale Carson – High-profile Attorney (Jacksonville), Former FBI Agent & Former Police Officer (Miami-Dade County); Author: “Arrest-Proof Yourself” Paul Szych – Former Police Commander (Albuquerque, NM), APD Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit; Author: “Stop Him From KillingThem;” X: @WorkplaceThreatt; Screen Actors Guild-Eligible Actor (experience using firearms with blanks during live-action movie scenes/Terminator: Salvation)  Dr. Michelle DuPre – Former Forensic Pathologist, Medical Examiner and Detective: Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Author: “Homicide Investigation Field Guide” & “Investigating Child Abuse Field Guide;” Forensic Consultant Johonniuss Chemweno - Film and TV Safety Expert - CEO, VIP StarNetwork; X: @johonniuss_j Maureen Callahan – Columnist for the DailyMail.com; X: @DM_Maureen_ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Fifteen days after Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley are reported missing, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation announce the recovery of two bodies. The identity of the remains has not been confirmed as yet, but we do know the remains have been sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office for identification, as well as the cause and manner of death.  Initially, police said there was evidence of suspicious circumstances in Veronica Butler‘s car. That evidence was a small amount of blood inside the vehicle.  Police have now released new information.  The vehicle was found on a dirt path, 1,000 feet off of Oklahoma State Highway 95 and near the car, police find multiple puddles of blood, leading investigators to conclude the women were shot, before they were abducted.    Reports began to surface that a caravan of law enforcement vehicles including swat teams was traveling in the panhandle of Oklahoma. Local reporters said there were some 20 vehicles including swat and other law enforcement vehicles in Cimarron County which split into two groups. One group went to the home of Tiffany Adams, the ex-mother-in-law of Veronica Butler, while the other group of law enforcement traveled to a different location in Cimarron County.  The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has now announced four people have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley.   Tiffany Adams, the ex-mother-in-law of Veronica Butler, and Adams' boyfriend, Tad Cullum, are in custody.   Cole Twombly and Cora Twombly were also arrested, and all four were taken to the Texas County Jail.  Each person faces two counts of suspicion of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.  Joining Nancy Grace Today: James Shelnutt - 27 years Atlanta Metro Area Major Case Detective, Former S.W.A.T. officer, Attorney (Gadsden, AL), The Shelnutt Law Firm, P.C., Fmr judge and municipal prosecutor ShelnuttLawFirm.com, Twitter: @ShelnuttLawFirm Tim Jansen -  Criminal defense lawyer and fmr.
