We're discussing how to having challenging conversations especially when it comes to the momentum of your relationship when one person may be more avoidant and slower paced than the other. We're discussing it all from how to broach these convos without smothering the other person, ways you can advocate for yourself while still listening to your partners perspective, and why it's pivotal that you both get more vulnerable and out of this anxious-avoidant trap. No, we're not talking about ChatGPT or tools that write your profile or texts (or even worse, create fake photos!). We're talking about how AI can actually revolutionize dating apps in the way Tinder did in 2012 (over a decade ago!) Join us as we chat with Ben, the founder of Volar dating, about how they're using AI to cut through the BS of dating apps and make them more efficient. We get it: AI is scary. Before talking to Ben, we weren't 100% onboard either. But now, all we can see are the possibilities. So if you're sick of dating apps as they are, you don't want to miss this episode! If you identify as a woman (or date women!), you've probably heard about why 'feminine energy' is so important to attract a mate. But it's 2024 people, and we're discussing why this is actually quite problematic even though it feels innocent enough. So buckle up as we chat about why this advice is simply outdated, how to embrace a natural style for you that still gives off an interested vibe, and ways we can all start dating in a way that doesn't feel as performative. So you've been dating someone for a little bit now...when is it time to DTR (define the relationship) and how do you broach the subject? In our last of the Best of Brunch talk series, we'll discuss the difference between exclusivity and a relationship, how to have a series of low pressure chats starting early on, and why the focus should actually NOT be on defining the relationship (but rather something else). As that essential tool we love to hate, the question remains: are apps the problem or are you just using them wrong? We're diving into it all as we chat with Laura & Heather on their podcast Thirsty about how we can leverage dating apps to their highest power and (perhaps) find the love of a lifetime. We discuss how to make great connections that may go somewhere, why better dates may actually result from dating less, and ways to attract the matches you want. this was a great episode!! I enjoyed the journey through the duration of the date and listening to how each person felt at different times of the date. Loved it.

I'm probably wrong, but seems like you and guests are out of touch with reality.....talking about setting up dates on Monday, then Wednesday, then friday and Saturday....while having roommates. regular peeps do not have roommates while in their late 20's and 30's and have bills to pay. maybe the hosts are better looking than normal people. seems like they dont know about average peeps not living in a big city (curious about California shutdown and how they keep dating left and right).

This is a great podcast and this particular episode really hit it hard at home for me. I'm South Asian and in our culture, dating is usually frowned upon.
