Nicolle Wallace discusses the latest from the school shooting in Nashville as officials reveal the identities of the victims and shooter, revelations of a new witness testifying in front of the special grand jury in Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s hush money investigation as the ex-president continues to attack prosecutors, the far-right’s ties to the site of his first rally in Waco, Texas, and more.Joined by: Tennessee State Sen. Heidi Campbell, Dave Cullen, Clint Watts, Claire McCaskill, Katie Phang, Katie Benner, Tim Miller, Mary McCord, Frank Figliuzzi, Eddie Glaude, John Heilemann, and Texas State Sen. Roland Gutierrez
How do you build a legal case when the defendant is a former president? MSNBC legal contributors Andrew Weissmann and Mary McCord have an idea. They’re two of the most well-respected and storied prosecutors in the country – and have prosecuted historic cases from Enron to the Benghazi attack. So, they’re the perfect people to tell us how a prosecutor --- from Alvin Bragg to Fani Willis to Jack Smith – might think about prosecuting a president.
Alicia Menendez – in for Nicolle Wallace – discusses the increasingly violent rhetoric of the twice impeached ex-president as a judge delivers another ruling compelling testimony from aides in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s probe, the possible fallout for prosecutors investigating the former president after a death threat and white powder was mailed to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the far-right Republicans’ visit to jailed January 6th defendants, reaction to President Biden’s joint press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and more. Joined by: Carol Leonnig, Peter Strzok, Jim Walden, David Jolly, Al Sharpton, Rep. Robert Garcia, Ben Rhodes, Mary McCord, and Ken Sicknick
Ayman Mohyeldin – in for Nicolle Wallace – discusses the ex-president’s attacks on the prosecutors handling the multiple investigations into his possible crimes, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ major foreign policy flip-flop that raises questions about how his qualifications might hold up on a national stage, mounting criticism of TikTok as their CEO testifies before members of Congress, the meeting between House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the mother of Capitol rioter Ashli Babbitt, bipartisan backlash to the Michigan GOP’s tweet comparing gun legislation to the Holocaust, and more. Joined by: Susanne Craig, Harry Litman, Frank Figliuzzi, Mara Gay, Rep. Dan Goldman, Charlie Sykes, Ali Vitali, Michael Scherer, Elaine Luria, Glenn Kirschner, Matt Dowd, Ryan Reilly, and Cornell Belcher

This is one of the most depressing & infuriating days. Tucker should be burned at the stake next to Alex fucking Jones. Trump should die in a jail cell wearing a jumpsuit the same colour as his face. There is an apathetic absentee landlord in heaven and the Democrats seem to be too scared to do the righteous thing. Bring it on Climate change, we're done. 🔥👺🔥

I think you have a good point. the assertion that authoritarian government do not thrive monetarily (you said more coherently) it a data point that can help leverage the larger argument. economics are but a part but it's on everyone's minds.

When will these people start using the word "treason"? It's clear that the motive is to barter the half billion dollars he owes to the Russian mobsters whose money he laundered through his bullshit casinos. Since when does the House lose? Deutsch Bank should be 💣💥

We should make voting a Federal Holiday, so that everyone can vote, and we should use the STAR Systems as a Federal voting platform for all elections up and down the ballot! It is much better than Ranked Choice Voting! (RCV) it can be used in every election, for each and every seat, for local, state, and Federal elections. If someone dies in office , then the second highest winner fills that seat until the next election. Ask Steve Kornecki to check it out, and give his opinion at the "big board!" https://youtu.be/3-mOeUXAkV0

why isn't anybody thinking about the fact that the dumpster copied or photoed all the classified information he had.? I to think that the FBI and M Garland for far too slow on getting all the documents that belong and the national archives. I am not only frustrated but deeply angry that the FBI did not swoop in on the White House before dumpster left office. It is my understanding that standard protocol is for the FBI go in collect the documents of any kind and also days before take inventory of all the furnishings gifts from other country leaders etc. As a side note the president and his family must pay for the food they consume in the White House. I watched an interview with Michelle Obama when they were still in the White House and she said that they had to pay for all the food they consumed personally. So my question is where is the tally amount of money for the food dumpster and his family consumed. TAXPAYERS DON'T PAY FOR THAT. NOR ANY OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS THEY USE OR CONSUME. LET US REMEMBER THAT HIS CHILDREN SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN OUR WHITE HOUSE ALONG WITH THEIR KIDS. SO WHERE'S THE TALLY ON WHAT THEY CONSUMED. THERE'S NO FREE LUNCH.

2) What I have come to understand is that if this infestation of the Koch brothers Mafia has beefed up there race to obliterate DEMOCRACY our Constitution and Bill of Rights. unless sir is a complete and total revolution against the Koch brothers Mafia this country is headed for serfdom. THIS IS NO JOKE. it breaks my heart to think I might live long enough to see that transpire.

As soon as I read half of the book DARK MONEY by Jane Mayer in 2017. I knew we were in big trouble as a country of democracy. From that time until now I have been enraged by the lack of reading her book. starting with mainstream media journalism that's what also include politicians.

There has always been a "forward," and "progressive party," and that has been the Green Party! The Forward Party, should be supporting Greens💚, the Green Party💚, and Green💚Candidates like me! The first Black, Trans Woman, Nurse, Veteran to ever make it on a statewide ballot, in California. Yet Mainstream Media, like you, ignored this historical feat! No coverage of third parties, except now. If the Forward Party is another "Corporate tool," it will be just as corrupt as the current Duopoly! Take money out of politics. www.veronika4ca.com

I am the only person silly enough to believe that they're finding many more tentacles than first anticipated as their investigations commenced? Considering this I feel a little afraid. Who handles the Congresspersons who aided the insurgents, the seditious? What are their liabilities? How are those people held accountable? When Merrick Garland speaks about the insurgents I feel he is communicating a sense of determination, a sense of menace to them that he wants to check them as firmly and broadly as possible.
