Today’s guest is CEO of Kingston Lane, Sharran Srivatsaa. In this episode, Sharran shares his incredible story of growing up from humble beginnings in India.  In 2011, Sharran walked away from his banking job on Wall Street to become the president of Beverly Hills-based Teles Properties.   At the time, the luxury real estate brokerage was making over $300 million annually. In just five years, Srivatsaa and his partners transformed the company into a business worth more than $3 billion — increasing its value 10 times over.  Srivatsaa is now a venture capitalist, sought-after business coach, and the CEO of real estate software company Kingston Lane.   Things we discussed:   The BIG 3   The “singularity of focus” – 10x in 5 years and this is what we need to do every year to achieve this.  This gives purpose on everything that needs to be done. E.G their daily target was $5M per day. The “cadence of accountability” – coaches and mentors “Good process drives good results” – building infrastructure to drive results.   Other things we discussed:   Holding yourself accountable on a daily basis. You cannot 10X only 1 part of your life. Everything else has to 10X with you, your family, your relationship, your health etc. “Routines drive results”. “Greatness is in the granularity”. – It is important that you need to know everything.  You don’t have to do everything, but you need to understand everything in your business. Investing in your personal infrastructure. Fear has no place on paper. Each week we will deconstruct a concept, an idea, a thought.  Basically it will be something valuable to you. Here at the Deconstructing Success Podcast our focus is for you to take action so we can help you & inspire you to improve your thoughts and ultimately your life.     This week we are deconstructing “The 3 pillars of how to create a Powerful Personal Brand”.     CLARITY You must understand what your mission, vision & why is.  What is your end goal? Do you want to build a loyal community of individuals who believe in your mission & vision and become advocates of your why.  Do you want to be a mentor to the younger generation? Sell a course? Become a thought leader?   The most important question to ask yourself here is what is your why?  As Simon Sinek says “The WHY is the purpose, cause or belief that drives every one of us.”  His philosophy has influenced me a great deal and this is a question I ask myself all of the time to ensure that I have clarity around why I am doing the things that I am doing.   I work with a number of CEO’s & listed companies and one of the things I find that many struggle with is that they have no clarity.  No matter how big, small or successful their organisation, they forget why they started in the first place and where they wish to pursue.   The reason why this is a huge problem is because they have no idea where they are heading.  This makes it difficult to be able to show up in a way that is in alignment to who they are.   CONNECTION It's important to have a purpose, a mission & a real vision. If you're not connected to your company mission & vision.  I have found that many people are disconnected with their vision. If you are disconnected your target audience will not believe you.  Connecting with your purpose is the foundation that will help you construct success for your brand.   CONSISTENCY There's power in being consistently persistent with your content. People assume that when they post a single piece of content that their entire network will view that content. This is simply not true.  Consistency is not spoken about enough.  If you are consistent with anything in your life (good & bad) you will see results.   The most important key to all of this is communicating your value successfully to your audience.  You want them to feel as though you are speaking directly to them & that you have completely understood what their heart desires.   SOCIAL LINKS   Connect with Tima on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_timaelhajj/ Connect with Tima on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/timaelhajj/ Email Tima directly on: tima@timaelhajj.com Follow Deconstructing Success on Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/deconstructingsuccess/

Each week we will deconstruct a concept, an idea, a thought.  Basically it will be something valuable to you. Here at the Deconstructing Success Podcast our focus is for you to take action so we can help you & inspire you to improve your thoughts and ultimately your life.   This week we are deconstructing “Imposter Syndrome”.   If you believe your "false" story you will become your story. Why do we sabotage our own future success?  The story you tell yourself is the story you live.  The challenge with imposter syndrome is "𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙛."   Here are some tips on how you can overcome Imposter Syndrome:   1. Raise your upper limit Expanding & raising your upper limit is a skill that you can cultivate.  Redefine what success means to you.   2. You took your focus off the game Get your momentum back.  Focus on the "follow through" and the execution to re-engage with your work. Engaging will help you regain your confidence & your positive thoughts will come flowing.    3. Ask yourself "Where is the evidence?" When you ask yourself this question in that moment of feeling that you are not good enough, you will soon realise that there is no evidence.  It is just the story you are telling yourself.   The only thing you can control in your life is what you focus on. Which story do you choose? Your future success is waiting for you.

This week we are deconstructing “identity drives behaviour”.     In today’s episode we discuss: The concept of “Identity drives behaviour”. Why this is powerful. The process on how to do this. What to do when faced with challenges.   This is not just about money, work & business.  This is about transforming your identity and applying these behaviours (habits) every day to make changes in all areas of your life.  The areas to look at include; your career, your wealth, your health, your relationships, your family, your friendships, your community & your spirituality. Every area that you want to create a change for must be accompanied with a paragraph describing your ideal self.  So once you have chosen what your identity will be, think of how this person show’s up in many scenarios;   the good and the bad work & family when confronted with challenges when they are celebrating their morning / night routine the foods that they eat how they deal with stressful situations what type of clothes do they wear how they speak when under pressure how they lead their family, wife / husband, children etc.   Be very specific here. Be detailed and include descriptions including, what you are wearing, how you are feeling, the smells and colours of your surroundings, the time of the year it is, describe every possible detail that you can think of.  The identity and the scenarios need to feel real in your mind, this is why describing things in such a depth is important. This exercise will show you the person you are capable of becoming.  Start each paragraph with..... "As a business woman/man I want to......." "As a wealthy woman/man I want to......." "As a healthy woman/man I want to......." "As a wife/husband/partner I want to......." "As a mother/father/brother/sister/daughter/son/family member I want to......." "As a friend I want to......." "As a community member I want to......." "As a spiritual person I want to......."   When you are writing your paragraph, detail how you will face challenges as well as your successes.  So when you are writing these descriptive paragraphs, If you are including other people who are in your life / may want to have in your life also describe how you want to make them feel through the action you are taking by applying these behaviours.  Be detailed, be specific, be creative and have fun whilst doing this.  So with this identity you are constructing you also need to construct a new internal dialogue so that when you are applying the behaviours / habits, you believe them to be true.  Of course, it is not just about thinking it, it is only powerful & results will come through with application.   I am a creative, so I need to create everyday. I am a writer, so I need to write everyday. I am a runner, so I need to run everyday.   Think of the outcomes that you want in your life and ask yourself this question…   “Who is the type of person that (fill in the gaps)?”  For example, “Who is the type of person that writes a book?”     Another powerful question to ask yourself throughout the day when faced with challenges is this, so for example let’s say you want to be healthy and you have not prepared a healthy mean for yourself and you are hungry and want to eat.  You could order fast food or a salad.    The question to ask here is, “what would a healthy person do?”   The point of all of this is that if you act / show up as this person (this identity) you have created for yourself, you apply these behaviours on a daily basis then you will eventually become that person.  Focus on becoming this type of person everyday.  The frequency is just as important as everything else we covered today. You have the power to change your beliefs about yourself.  Your identity is not set in stone and we all have the ability to change our beliefs through applying different behaviours or applying habits.  The more you repeat a habit / behaviour the more you will reinforce the identity associated with that behaviour.  So the more evidence you have for a belief, you will organically believe in this in a powerful way. Our lives are a series of moments, and you have a choice in every moment.   2020 was a challenging year for all of us, but I want you to think of all of the other years where you made promises to yourself and did not honour them.  They were empty promises.     A question I ask you is this…   ”If your life is still the same and has not changed for the better in 12 months time, how will that make you feel about yourself?”     This is your moment.   This is your moment to be that person you have always wanted to be.   Let the construction begin.   SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS   Connect with Tima on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_timaelhajj/ Connect with Tima on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/timaelhajj/ Email Tima directly on: tima@timaelhajj.com Follow Deconstructing Success on Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/deconstructingsuccess/

On our very first episode we interview Grant Cardone.  Grant is a powerhouse & he truly understands how to continue to get up and dominate when faced with extreme difficulty and challenges.  In today’s episode we discuss: The concept of self-made and the fact that he does not believe he is self-made.
