When it comes down to it - don't we all lie? Just a little bit? So what makes some of us lie so much more than others? Where did Marc's predisposition towards lying begin? And is there any chance he'd ever stop? How did the perfect suburban mom get wrapped up with doomsday preppers and prophets? For months, the media has been chasing the story of Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell, covering the strange beliefs they shared and the disappearance of her two kids. Madness of Two digs deep into the why: Why did five people end up dead? Host Sarah Treleaven explores religious fanaticism, brainwashing, greed, and the reality that even the most ordinary people can come to believe extreme ideas.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
In December of the year 2000, an unknown male broke into a suburban Tokyo home and killed an entire family. Despite leaving thousands of pieces of evidence in the house, including his clothes, the murder weapon, his DNA, his blood, even his excrement—we are no closer to knowing this man’s identity. There’s no clear motive. And no sign of the case being closed. The Miyazawa family murders are a paradox. They’re a case which has haunted Tokyo police for 22 years now. A case which should be solved. But one which has far more questions than answers.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Homegrown: OKC dives into a case of domestic terrorism from the past that’s really a warning about the future. Back in 1995, there was a disaster that should have prepared us for January 6th and the political violence that we’re seeing today: the Oklahoma City Bombing.Journalist Jeffrey Toobin reveals the story behind Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City Bombing, and right-wing extremism in America - how a decorated army veteran became consumed with rage, how he somehow went underground and built a bomb that damaged fifty blocks in a modern city, and how everything that led to the horror of April 19th, 1995 is still very present in America. Homegrown: OKC is a USG Audio podcast produced by Western Sound and Esmail Corp. Based on the book “Homegrown: Timothy McVeigh and the Rise of Rightwing Extremism” by Jeffrey Toobin. All the mouth noises are grossing me out. The sound doesn’t need to be this disgusting.
"this is all bull$%^t" would be a fantastic name for a podcast.
jeez this guy is not "intriguing".
So true to me! I was in a relationship with someone like him that some how kept up all the lies and several women. It's hard to realize we've been scammed but seemingly "prince charmings" but I am here to say, it's not rare.
entertaining podcast. good subject matter. terrible music.
Great podcast thank you. What is the name of your theme music? It is terrific
Bravo, wonderful podcast, beautifully produced! Great subject, the only way to stop this kind of people is to talk about it and raise awareness. That's what I call reporting ❤
It's good but, all these women got catfished. Terrible, yes, but not uncommon. They all decided to ignore pretty glaring red flags. I think shedding light on this issue is noble in a way, but this is hardly unique. They literally have a show about this. Ill stick around to see where it goes but, not ground breaking. Just don't keep reconnecting to men that give you strange vibes.
