22-year-old Rebecca Park was found stabbed to death in a Michigan forest, her unborn baby cut from her womb and still missing. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down the disturbing new details in the investigation and the Bartholomews’ long criminal histories that prosecutors say paint a very dark picture. One of the most shocking moments comes from a podcast interview with true crime host Stephanie Pratt, who has spoken with Cortney Bartholomew multiple times.
Pregnant 22-year-old Rebecca Park disappeared after being lured out by her biological mother and stepfather, Cortney and Bradly Bartholomew. Weeks later, a search team found Rebecca’s body in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest, stabbed to death, and investigators say her unborn baby was cut from her womb and remains missing. Biological mother Cortney Bartholomew and stepfather Bradly Bartholomew are each facing multiple charges: first-degree murder, felony murder, torture, conspiracy, assault on a pregnant individual, unlawful imprisonment, and removal of a dead body. Rebecca’s sister, Kimberly Park, is charged with tampering with evidence and lying to police, and Rebecca's fiancé, Richard Falor, faces drug-related charges. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield walks you through the grisly timeline, the suspects and charges, and what investigators say really happened in one of the most chilling cases of the year. Wanda Barzee and Brian David Mitchell kidnapped 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart from her bedroom in 2002 and held her captive for months. In this episode, Elizabeth Smart opens up about her past and why the Epstein–Maxwell case hits close to home. She talks with Ashleigh Banfield about the patterns she recognizes in powerful predators, how victims are targeted, and why certain details in that case feel so familiar to her. She also says that after Virginia Giuffre’s death, she felt like it was a wake-up call, a reminder of how badly we need to listen and act when survivors speak.
Nearly one year after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was gunned down on a Manhattan sidewalk, the man accused of executing him, Luigi Mangione, is back in court for a critical evidence hearing. This week, prosecutors and defense attorneys faced off over the backpack search that happened moments after Mangione’s arrest. Inside that backpack, police say they found two key pieces of evidence: a gun linked to the murder and a handwritten anti-insurance “manifesto.” Mangione’s defense team is fighting to get all of it thrown out, arguing the search was unconstitutional. If the judge agrees, those items may never reach a jury… and that could dramatically reshape the entire trial. For the first time, we’re also seeing the still images from the body-cam video played in court behind closed doors. The full footage hasn’t been released, but the snapshots offer a first look at the moments officers confronted Mangione on the street. Take your personal data back with Incogni! On the first day of his trial, Brian Walshe unveiled a new version of events: Ana “died in her sleep,” and everything else was a reaction. The problem for him is the *evidence*. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down how his new explanation landed in the courtroom and why it immediately raised serious doubts. TMZ doubles down that Celeste was "frozen". A secret grand jury is now reviewing evidence in the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and police have officially classified the case as a murder investigation. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down what this new move means, why prosecutors asked a judge to block the autopsy findings, and how this grand jury could change everything in the D4vd timeline.
“Gave Away Melodee’s Things”: Tyler Brewer, the friend who tried to help Ashlee Buzzard, just came forward with explosive and honestly stomach turning new info about what he says he saw inside her house. And yes, it involves a pillow dressed up like Melodee. Tyler lays out exactly what happened, what Ashlee allegedly told him, and the moment everything spiraled.
In 2008, a man disguised as a delivery driver walked into a Lane Bryant store just outside Chicago, forced six women into the back room, bound them with duct tape, and shot them in cold blood, ultimately killing five women and sparing just one by sheer luck. Seventeen years later, the case remains unsolved. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down the haunting details of the Lane Bryant massacre, including the first national interview with the paramedic who walked into that crime scene and has carried the weight of it ever since. Filmmaker Charlie Minn also shares insight from his upcoming documentary on the Tinley Park 5.
This is SUSPICIOUS! Florida cheerleader Anna Kepner was found dead under a bed on a cruise ship, and the new information coming out is raising serious questions about what happened inside that cabin. Investigators are looking at the timeline, the family dynamics, and why her 16-year-old stepbrother is suddenly part of the conversation...
A secret audio recording made by Ashlee Buzzard just completely BLEW UP her entire false imprisonment case. In this episode of Drop Dead Serious, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down the shocking recording, the contradictions, and what this means for the search for missing 9-year-old Melodee Buzzard.
TMZ is now reporting that D4vd made a sudden late night trip to a remote part of Santa Barbara County in the spring, raising new questions about whether Celeste Rivas Hernandez may have died months earlier than anyone realized. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down the latest timeline gaps, the unexplained midnight drive, new reporting from TMZ, and what these details could mean for the investigation.
A shocking new twist has emerged in the disappearance of nine-year-old Melodee Buzzard, and it is one of the strangest details in this case yet. Investigators say a private investigator working with Melodee’s family learned that Ashlee Buzzard was seen cutting her daughter’s face out of several missing posters and placing the cut-out photos inside her home. The investigator described it as looking almost like an altar, raising even more questions about what Ashlee knows and why she is behaving this way. At the same time, Ashlee showed up to court in full glam and a curly wig, completely made up, while refusing to answer anything about Melodee’s whereabouts. She is still facing a charge of falsely imprisoning the man she allegedly told about Melodee, and she continues to stay silent as the search for her daughter stretches into its sixth week.
Brian Walshe just stunned the courtroom with a shocking twist in the Ana Walshe murder case. Prosecutors say he searched for how to dismember a body, bought the tools to do it, and dumped Ana’s belongings in a dumpster near his mother’s condo. But in court, Brian admitted to moving Ana’s remains and lying to police, while insisting he did not kill her. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down the guilty pleas, the disturbing evidence, the Google searches, and what this wild legal strategy might mean for the murder charge that still hangs over him. The Sean Williams case is one of the most disturbing to come out of Tennessee. Investigators say this predator left a trail of sickening crimes that only came to light after his prison transport escape. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down the allegations, the victims’ accounts, and how authorities finally uncovered the full scope of his horrifying crime spree.
A private investigator working with the Bradley family is now sharing details that feel almost unbelievable. He says Amy Bradley was actually seen in Curacao after she vanished from that Royal Caribbean cruise ship in 1998, and not just once. People recognized her by the Tasmanian Devil tattoo on her shoulder and said she looked dazed and heavily drugged, almost like she wasn’t fully aware of where she was. According to the investigator, a clerk inside the Curacao police department even admitted he saw her several times and claimed he knew exactly where she was being kept. He went as far as offering to arrange Amy’s return for fifty thousand dollars, then backed out when it came time to hand her over. When the investigator tracked him down years later, the clerk said he saw Amy again in 2016 and that she was still alive, hooked on drugs, and controlled by a dangerous trafficker. None of this was in the Netflix documentary, and it completely changes how this case looks twenty seven years later.
New text messages have surfaced in the case of 43-year-old Illinois mom Robyn Polston, and they are jaw-dropping. The texts show her preparing to “look perfection,” planning a visit, and talking about getting “freaky” for a boy who was her daughter’s teenage classmate. Her tanning appointments, her maternity photo plans, and the timeline she laid out in her own words reveal just how far this situation went before anyone knew the truth.
Nine-year-old Melodee Buzzard is still missing, yet Ashlee walked into court looking almost unrecognizable without her signature wigs, pleaded not guilty to a false imprisonment charge, and was sent home with an ankle monitor. Hours later she reappeared wearing the wig again, still offering no information about where her daughter is. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down everything we learned from Ashlee’s court appearance, the new details from paralegal Tyler Brewer about being trapped inside Ashlee’s home, and the alarming claims he says she made about Melodee being dropped off in Utah. Melodee’s paternal grandmother shares her concerns and says she tried to get custody years ago.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially traded luxury for lockdown. Just days after being sentenced to more than four years in federal prison, new reports claim Diddy was caught with “toilet wine” behind bars. TMZ says the fallen hip-hop mogul was caught making alcohol in his cell while also facing punishment for a banned three-way phone call. In this episode of Drop Dead Serious, Ashleigh Banfield breaks down Diddy’s first weeks in prison, his secret call that violated federal rules, his surprising new job in the chapel, and what really goes into making “toilet wine.” Plus, how it could all jeopardize his rehab program and sentence reduction.
According to a new criminal complaint, Ashlee allegedly trapped a man named Tyler S. Brewer inside her Lompoc home after he confronted her about Melodee’s whereabouts. That confrontation, and what Ashlee told him before things spiraled, could be the biggest clue yet that Melodee is alive. In this episode, Ashleigh Banfield uncovers what happened inside that house, what the court documents reveal, and how Ashlee’s own childhood, as a nine-year-old girl once featured in a newspaper story about escaping an abusive father, mirrors her daughter’s story in haunting ways.

I wanted to listen to this episode about Wendy Williams but I only listened to maybe 5 minutes if that, and I couldn't listen any longer because every other word was you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying, you know what I'm saying, oh my God that was driving me crazy I had to shut it off. I don't even know how that lady that did the interview got through it, that would have drove me nuts!!!!

"Yeye"? What a douchetard. He probably wants to name himself after cocaine ("yayo") but doesn't know how to spell.

Interesting topic but I had to unsubscribe, too repetitive. Here's an idea: how about we listen to Angela's story once instead of five, and give more voice to the victims but without retelling it three times, and this podcast will nicely fit into beautiful two-hour episode. Thank you!
