The girls are back in town—Stars Hollow, to be exact! We're sorry it took us so long, life has been, well, that's neither here nor there. What matters is we're BACK, and we're bringing you an episode full of everything you loved and missed (or maybe not?) about this podcast: plenty of talking over and interrupting one another, multiple cameos from Nugs, Morgan eating something into the microphone, Rachelle defending Dean (though considerably less vehemently than prior episodes), and long-winded tangents about everything from our go-to Indian takeout orders to why couples massages are quite possibly the worst thing you can do with another person. So grab your martinis (with extra olives), settle in, and we'll see you in Stars Hollow! We’re back, and we’re the worst. Well, Jess is actually the worst for holding onto Rory’s bracelet and watching her and Lorelai search frantically for it, but we digress. We’re catching up on 3+ months worth of emails and celebrating some recent life milestones. So join us as we tag along with Dean and Rory at the book fair, Lorelai and Luke on his apartment hunt, and Lorelai and Rory in the search for the missing bracelet. Enjoy the episode, and see you in Stars Hollow! . “We are family / I’ve got step-mommy Sherrie with me.” - What Chris should have said to Lorelai on the phone when he agreed to come watch Rory’s debate at Chilton. OK, so we’re paraphrasing Sister Sledge, but we’re also about to paraphrase what happens in this episode so let’s forge ahead: Rory and Paris wipe the floor with Brad and his new schoolmate at the Chilton debate (literally, she’s crying and Brad’s sweating profusely, so mops were a must); Chris brings a debate date, Sherrie, much to Lorelai’s mystification; Sherrie begs Lorelai to let Rory skip Friday night dinner for an evening out on the town and some (soon to be) step-mother/daughter bonding time; Emily is outraged at dinner when she learns Chris has a girlfriend that isn’t her daughter (spoiler alert: it’s Sherrie); and Lorelai finally has a moment of self-actualization that instead of sharing with a therapist she vocalizes to Chris, who loses it in Luke’s Diner. TLDR? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered—click play, and we’ll see you in Stars Hollow! . The Girls are back in town and ready to bid on some baskets! (But we’re only supposed to go to $50 per our allowance from Nugs, so 2 stale Pop Tarts and a Slim Jim is about all we can afford TBH.) Jess, well, pulls a Jess and gets Rory to go on a date with him the old-fashioned way, Lorelai forces Luke to rescue her from having to go on a blind date with a Ghostbusters groupie, Jackson and Sookie go from edible basket rejection to engaged in the span of an afternoon (and pending a crinkle cut carrot loan), and so dawns a new era we lovingly call “the downward spiral of Dean.” Slap on your temporary tattoos (but only 3 because 4 is tacky) and get ready to clean out all the expired food on your fridge, because the world is spinning back on its axis to take us to Stars Hollow. . BOO! We’re back & it’s spooky szn/fall/Gilmore Girls rewatch season! Sorry we’ve been so MIA — life has been extra crazy busy & y’all have been flooding our inbox/sliding into our DMs (no complaints from us) so we’re playing catch-up this week to avoid our regular episodes from running 2+ hours long. Enjoy us reading your emails & things back to you — we’ll see you next time in Stars Hollow for another full-episode episode! . . The eagle has landed in Stars Hollow. We repeat: The eagle has landed in Stars Hollow. A retired Richard is driving Emily mad, so she calls in her blackmail-acquired favor from last episode and sends him off to spend the day in Stars Hollow with his daughter. Lorelai is at a loss for how to interact with her father and despite his (questionably) best intentions, Richard can’t help but critique everything Lorelai does — including how she conducts business, dresses, drinks coffee in the morning, orders Chinese food, or the gifts she allows Rory to accept from her boyfriend. (Oh yeah, in case you forgot, Dean is an amazing boyfriend and BUILDS RORY A CAR. Sorry for yelling, but it had to be said. - R) We’ll see you in Stars Hollow for this super long episode. Stick around until the end to hear Nugs munching on some popcorn during Pop Culture Corner — don’t say we never gave you anything! . . Someone call the Terminator, because the Gilmore Girls got termites and it’s. About. To go. Down. (The house, that is.) When Lorelai is laughed out of the bank, Rory suggests they ask Richard and Emily for the money, to which Lorelai says hard pass. Rory does it anyway, a fight ensues, and Lorelai agrees to a meeting with one of Emily’s bank buds after Luke offers to “loan” her the money. Oh, and ICYMI, Lane is on the SHH cheer squad (how this was sanctioned by Mrs. Kim we have yet to understand but alas, earwax). So grab your pom (or poms if you’re double fisting) and we’ll see you in Stars Hollow! . Hi friends! We’re easing back into the swing of podcasting after a few weeks off for summer vacation and needed to catch up on all of your incredible emails and Instagram messages that have been flooding our inboxes over the past month. Plus, Morgan is recovering from a bug and her voice is a few octaves lower (and hoarser) than normal. So, this week we thought we’d catch up on our emails and DM’s and respond in semi-real time! We hope you enjoy, and as always, we love hearing from you! We’ll see you in Stars Hollow! . Welcome to one of M&R’s favorite episodes and the most epic town sleepover, complete with dinner and a show! We’ll be brief, because no description can do this episode justice: The Independence Inn hosts The Bracebridge Dinner for the good people of Stars Hollow, Richard finally says “sayonara!” to the insurance biz, Luke lets Lorelai in on the secret to successful parenting, Christopher calls to invite Rory home for the holiday, and Rune is still the worst. Hop into the horse drawn sleigh & join us in Stars Hollow for another episode! . What do you get when you put two sugar-hyper sisters in front of a microphone? Answer: This episode. If we could give you a bit of unsolicited advice? Run away little listener, because this is the episode of tangents and oh, in case you forgot, THEY WERE ON A BREAK. And just like that, this episode description is about as cohesive as the episode you’re about to hear. Grab your cup o’ coffee at Central Perk and we’ll see you in Stars Hollow, Friends. . If you’ve come to this details section for the ins and outs of this episode, you’ve come to the right place friends. A surprise visit from The Independence Inn’s owner, Mia, has Lorelai rethinking her and Sookie’s decision to open their own inn, especially when Fran refuses to take the hint and sell Lorelai and Sookie the Dragonfly property. A mysterious crime scene rocks the town and leads to a clandestine town meeting that threatens to oust the newest resident of Stars Hollow. And Emily pays a visit to the woman who harbored her runaway teenage daughter to give her a piece of her mind, as if we expected any less (more?) of Emily. Alright, are you in yet? Cuz we’re out. See you in Stars Hollow. . You know how that old Spice Girls’ song goes: “If you wanna go to Harvard, you gotta get yourself some friends.” Or at least, that’s what Il Duce and the rest of the Chilton staff try to convince Rory and Lorelai in this week’s episode and WE WILL NOT STAND FOR IT. Lorelai saves the fall fashion show & struts it on the cat walk with Emily, Rory almost joins a cult (re: secret society), and we sing throughout the duration of this episode. In honor of Mother’s Day (which was last Sunday here in the U.S.), Rachelle gave Morgan the weekend off to spend her first official Mother’s Day with Nugz and we’re so excited to bring you this mini-episode interview with two of our listeners, mother-daughter duo Anna & Natalie, who listen to the podcast and call each other to keep in touch and talk about our episodes (is that not the cutest thing you’ve ever heard???). They also pulled over after a few hours into a road trip to chat with us, so basically we couldn’t be more flattered. We’ll see you in Stars Hollow.
Welcome back to Friday Night Dinner with your hosts Rachelle & Emilia (more commonly known by her stage name, Nugz) with special guest Morgan. This week, Rory’s coming out so you’d better get this cotillion started — and call Christopher who drives a Volvo and lives in Boston now working a stable job so there’s some shady AF stuff going on there. Plus, Richard and Emily are fighting and it’s not a good look, definitely worse than Dean in a tux because hello sailor. Grab your feather fans and we’ll see you in Stars Hollow! . . Auditory trigger warning: Morgan was imbibing in Friday Night Dinner during much (munch?) of the recording of this episode, and we both were laying the unsolicited advice on thicckkkk throughout, so if this is the last time you listen, well, we get it and don’t blame you, quite frankly. But if neither of those things deter you, then we’ll see you in Stars Hollow for this hellscape of an episode. No, literally, this is hell, and you’d better watch out, you’d better not cry, you’d better not pout we’re telling you why, because Jess Mariano is comin’ to town. . . Get in losers, we’re going to Harvard. Rory and Lorelai are hitting the open road and going wherever the wind may take them — even if it’s straight into the ocean, or Wonderland. Side effects of spontaneous road trips may include uncomfortable and unpleasant chit chat with B ‘n B’ers, having a panic attack after realizing you’ll never read all the books in your local library, thoughts and discussions of fatalism and/or existentialism, and overspending on college memorabilia in the campus gift shop. Please keep your arms, hands, feet, and legs inside the Jeep, and don’t forget to pull over at every Haden’s Nut Stand along the way. See you in Stars Hollow! . It’s a red flag throw down, y’all. Just weeks before the big day, Lorelai hosts her first official sleepover with Max, Stars Hollow gets its very first traffic light, and Lorelai’s bachelorette party turns into a feels fest when Emily shows up and Lorelai consumes one too many Long Island Iced Teas. Oh, and hang onto your Huppah, because the Gilmore Girls are going on a road trip! See you in Stars Hollow. . Can you hear the wedding bells a ‘ringin? Lorelai is still hiding her engagement from her parents and debating veil lengths, and Rory is building (we’re using that word very loosely here) houses for those in need and to pad her college transcripts. Lorelai finally tells Emily about the wedding, only to find out her mother already knew. Rory melts down after realizing she doesn’t know how to build a fire or survive in the wild or get into Harvard for that matter, and the town throws a wedding shower for Lorelai and Max, but a certain man in a flannel and baseball cap is suspiciously missing from the hoopla. Don your tiaras and we’ll see you in the Hollow. . . We sat down with the Sookie St. James of Texas, Larisa Kliman of Eating Gilmore (@eatinggilmore), to talk all things Gilmore Girls as she cooks and bakes her way through her favorite show and documents her journey on Instagram and her blog, eatinggilmore.com. Larisa, a high school college admissions counselor, also shares her expert advice for applying to college, and what Gilmore Girls got right (and wrong) about the process. She also introduces R&M to their new fave Harry Potter account, @bradbakes. Grab your apron and spatula and we’ll see you in Stars Hollow! . . . By special listener request, we’re back with another bonus episode tackling the Enneagram of Personality for the Big 4. Despite their surface-level knowledge in the subject, Rachelle and Morgan discuss what Enneagram numbers they think best fit Lorelai, Rory, Richard, and Emily, thanks to the detailed information available on the Enneagram Institute’s website, enneagraminstitute.com. . . .
