Grace’s parents are in town which means Grace has been hosting all the things from her youngest’s very FIRST birthday to her oldest’s art show. It’s hard to believe Grace has a 1 year old! As with most parties, some things did not go exactly according to plan. A highlight of Sarah’s week was her and her family getting together with some friends that they don’t see all that often and it reminded Sarah that she wants to prioritize that friendship. It’s a big week for Book Club for 1 - Grace gives out her very first 5-star review on the pod! Some would say this one is life changing. Then Grace and Sarah share some mantras and strategies to help you keep your cool in those challenging moments with your kids. Then Sarah and Grace both bring copycat recipes to switch up your dinner rotation. Sarah shares copycat PF Changs chicken lettuce wraps. And Grace brings copycat Cafe Rio salad to the table. Grace spent some time in the water this past week and got to enjoy holding her scrumptious, sleeping baby boy at the pool, as well as go on a paddle board date with her husband. The only downside was the sunburn she got on her legs while paddle boarding. While Grace does regret not lathering up on the sunscreen, she most definitely does not regret getting some quality time with her husband. Sarah is also excited about the one-on-one time her children have gotten individually recently both her and her husband separately as well as together. This week’s Book Club for 1 novel is a mystery Grace read awhile back, but a listener was interested in Grace’s thoughts on it. Then Grace and Sarah share some at home date ideas and hopefully encourage you to plan an at home date in the next week or two. Sarah shares some paninis she made this past week with some leftover Greek garlic lemon chicken. And Grace brings chicken bacon wraps to the table. No matter how you’re doing motherhood, we’re rooting for you!SegmentsYays and naysBook club for 1At home date ideasSwitch up your dinner rotationGreek garlic lemon chicken made into paninis with ciabatta bread, spinach, tomato, slice of mozzarella cheese, feta crumbles, mayoChicken bacon wrapIf you enjoy Full Time Moms - make sure to FOLLOW or SUBSCRIBE and then SHARE with your friends! Grace had a solid week with her brother coming into town and her and her oldest harvesting their very first zucchini of the season. They immediately made zucchini muffins to share with their friends. Sarah may have been tempted more times than she wants to admit by some chocolate chip cookies she made - to the extent of making herself feel like a bad mom when she - may have - eaten a cookie promised to her oldest. But don’t worry, Nora was the real winner when she got a fresh baked cookie out of the oven. Then Grace had quite the scare this week - that almost caused her to call 911 - when her husband didn’t return from his backpacking trip when she was expecting. Thankfully, it was just a big miscommunication. This week’s Book Club for 1 novel is a 4/5 stars read according to Grace, which says a lot considering that’s basically the highest rating she ever gives. Then Grace and Sarah dive into some of the things they’ve learned to best support and encourage their children with eating and trying new foods, as well as some hacks to help your kids get the nutrients that they need. Then if you feel similarly to Grace and Sarah - that your children may not have the most well-balanced diet - be sure to tune in as Sarah and Grace share what they’ve learned about children's multivitamins and their experiences with a few different brands. Sarah shares a shredded BBQ chicken recipe that would be great for someone who likes to go a little more light on the BBQ sauce but also enjoys a good slider. And Grace shares the viral Tik Tok marry me chicken that is sure to impress when hosting. Sarah hasn’t quite recovered from her family trip last week, but she is optimistic she may be more with it next week. In the midst of Sarah’s frazzlement and her children’s evening swim lessons she broke down and did something - grocery related - that she’s never done before. And Sarah gives a speech update on her oldest. Grace has been pleasantly surprised and appreciative of her husband taking up the habit of making their bed in the mornings and hopes it continuesThis week’s Book Club for 1 novel may be more of a book not to read than a book to read. Grace came equipped with a few nays this week - one of which being a nay that kind of turned into a yay as her friends rallied around her. Cavity filling day finally arrived for Grace’s oldest! And Grace wasn’t quite as excited about it as him - he's now stoked to have metal in his mouth like his friends. Grace got to visit her siblings, parents, and celebrate her brother’s high school graduation in South Carolina this past week with the baby in tow. Red eye flights are likely no longer in her future and, PSA, double check with your airline but you can no longer check travel cribs for free. Sarah fears the end of her car that has been through so many stages of life with her - from college to being a young, single working girly to getting married and having kids - may be close to the end of the road. And, to no surprise, Sarah’s yay this week was the grand opening of the water park near her home.In honor of Infertility Awareness Month, Grace and Sarah feel so lucky to have their friend, Emily Moon, share her infertility journey and what all really went in to her experience. The final laundry detergent update has hit the pod this week! Dishwasher detergents just may be up next.
