A personal practice that has profoundly shaped my mornings, is before I get out of bed, I place my hands on my heart and ask myself, β€œWhat’s my intention for today?” Sometimes, my intention is to be gentle with myself. Other times, it's to stay grounded, lovingly focused, or simply to pause and breathe throughout the day. Slowing down and setting intentions helps us guide our actions, thoughts, and emotions throughout the day. It aligns us with our values and brings purpose to each moment. I sit on my meditation bench, close my eyes, and just breathe.Β  It’s amazing how this simple act can melt away the angst, the worries, the stresses, and the overwhelming sensations that crowd our minds.
