The road to success still starts with one step and watching this can be your step one if you’re willing to follow through with action.Instead of spending time frustrated trying to discover your passion, understand that passion is developed and cultivated. It’s a decision to pursue and follow your curiosity. Before you shave off one more hour from your sleep tonight, realize that you aren’t doing yourself any favors. Tom is adamant about diet, exercise, and sleep. It’s what allows him to execute at such a high level consistently with clarity of mind and complete focus. This episode is a masterclass unto itself and covers everything from getting the right morning routine to getting so good you can’t be ignored or denied. The only question now is, what do you want and what price are you willing to pay to get there?“There’s a gap between who you are today and who you will need to become in order to execute against your why.” -Tom BilyeuQUOTES:“For anybody that wants to achieve something extraordinary in their life, the third thing you need to focus on is mindset, the first two are diet and exercise.” [2:03]“To get the most out of my day, to make the most of whatever hours I’m awake, I would rather be super sharp and well-rested, than try to wake up really early, be tired, be slow, be miserable…” [6:44]“It is insanely important, and I believe that you can get ahold of your emotional states [20:11]“Fear of confrontation, [...] part of that fear is coming from you having a vision of yourself that you’re worried will be diminished…” [24:16]“Instead of trying to come out of the other side of confrontation looking cool or being right, [...] go into that confrontation with a desire to find out what is really true, what is really optimal…” [24:37]“In the process of gaining hat mastery and fanning those flames it became a passion, but it wasn’t a passion right off the bat.” [29:47]“You need to speak in a way that draws people in.” [36:42]“The truth of the f*cking world is that until you take ownership of everything in your life, until you stop making excuses and blaming anybody, you will never go as far as you could go.” [39:45]“Don’t worry about convincing people, meet them with compassion, [...] understand that a fixed mindset is its own punishment.” [41:36]“You can never have two top priorities, [...] that doesn’t mean that there aren’t multiple things that aren’t important, but there can only be one top priority.” [42:48]“You can become anything you want to become.” [46:52]“We’re not judged by our intentions. In the middle of the financial crisis we’re experiencing, people are acting out of desperation, and emotions are possibly leading the charge. Raoul Pal is back to help us understand what is the current state of crypto, why FTX has been using customer money and more importantly, why is this not as unusual as you may think. Raoul’s insights as a macro investor, former hedge fund manager that retired at 36, and co-founder of Real Vision, a financial media company, takes us to a high level view to string together how world history and demographics have brought us to this point. The key takeaway here for you is that, “the game of money is a game of psychology.” Tom Bilyeu Once you understand that this is a game, we need to know the players, the rules. The ultimate indicator of how you play this game, as Raoul explains it, is the future version of yourself and what that version wants. It indicates your debts, your risk tolerance, and what your next financial move will be following this interview.Whatever you do, do so from a place of minimizing your emotional response and play the game well.Mentioned in this episode:Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Hariri: https://www.amazon.com/Homo-Deus-Brief-History-Tomorrow/dp/0062464310 SHOW NOTES:0:00 | What In The Crypto Is Going On?14:02 | The Emotional Cycle of Money23:46 | Inflation Vs. You start thinking about all the things you can accomplish in the next week, you get super pumped and when the time comes, nothing happens. After possible hours of being side tracked, unmotivated and distracted with the less important and more mundane tasks of life, you say, “tomorrow.” This slippery slope of a habit loop among other tell tale signs can be summarized as the Self Sabotaging Death Loop. We’ve all been there and perhaps you are there now. So, how do you get unstuck, and how do you stop sabotaging your best efforts at moving towards a higher purpose and a better version of yourself? You are not alone, and in less than half an hour you’ll have at least one thing you can start doing immediately to get unstuck and not sabotage the rest of your day.“Delaying gratification is an absolute superpower.” Tom BilyeuProblems being addressed: • Being so passionate, and yet so afraid • Not taking action on the thing you should be doing to reach your goals • Trouble ignoring negative thoughts to push through the resistance • Living in the cycle of thinking I feel stuckThe Juice of Success = Helping Others + Having Established Rules + Your Excitable GoalSHOW NOTES:0:00 | Introduction0:33 | Self Sabotage Death Loop6:19 | Procrastination Cure11:20 | Confidence From Failure 16:54 | Success is Delayed Gratification20:11 | Tom’s Secret Weapon QUOTES:“By putting it off till tomorrow, I really was sabotaging myself. You start to feel lazy and unmotivated because you lack the grit and self-discipline to see anything through to the end. Often we lack the motivation to do what success demands of us because we don’t have an identity that aligns with the outcome we say we want. Our poor habits and inability to show up consistently to create the outcome and experience we say we want creates a greater distance between where we are and where we want to go.Anthony Trucks started with an enormous gap between the 3 year old that entered the foster care system, the teenager they called “Butterfingers,” and the NFL player turned motivational speaker, bestselling author, life coach and podcast host. However, the opportunity being presented by cryptocurrency and NFTs is so much more than investing. Even if you don’t understand much of this as of today, try to view this crypto conversation through the lens of being an opportunity parallel to what the internet was in 1997 when it first started to gain traction. Think of the first AOL commercials and the buzz and excitement you may have experienced from that. Now imagine 2 things. One, imagine getting the opportunity to invest in the “internet” or an internet based company at that time. It’s probably fair to say you wouldn’t have much need to punch a clock now. The other thing to imagine is, how much the internet as a technology has advanced cell phones, businesses, the way we interact and communicate with the entire world. That scenario is quite possibly the same kind of opportunity you are living through right now with NFTs, bitcoin, ethereum, and blockchain. This is a technology that is being adopted faster than any other technology ever was, and it’s an opportunity that’s going to disrupt life, business, and humanity forever. Why this content is being brought to you, is to serve as a red flag and get your attention to at least do your research and learn about what this is so you can make informed decisions going forward. In this video, Tom is answering more questions and laying out what you need to do step-by-step. Steps to Research NFTs:1. Learn about this technology so you can think from first principles.2. Start with any words you know, bitcoin, crypto, NFTs, etc. and start learning terminology.3. Figure out who the different players are in the crypto and NFT space.4. An excellent primer and reminder of the proven core principles of how money the economy and wealth operates. We are at such a crucial time in history (no hyperbole) that people are going either feral, or fetal. Tom's candor is always a welcome voice on this subject, especially in the opening when he very plainly states how money is a ridiculously misunderstood subject. When we finally accept that it's not really complicated, - the economy, both micro and macro - but we all have complexes build up around it, then we can begin to unwind the faulty programs that are keeping us impoverished. Alright. Thank Tom. Peace Love Unity and having Big Ambitions Hotep Y'all 🌄
