Meet the crew behind the missions! LifeFlight provide critical care across Queensland through their aeromedical rescue service. Their dedicated teams of pilots, aircrew and critical care doctors on board their helicopter fleet, which act as flying intensive care units, provide a 24/7 lifeline for Queenslanders. In this episode we hear from pilot Dave Hampshire, who after a long career in the military as a helicopter pilot, has dedicated himself to the aeromedical industry. Discover the complex considerations involved in accepting a mission tasking and the rewarding nature of the incredible teamwork that goes in to delivering the best possible care for their patients. We are also joined by Dr Oonagh Mitchell, an emergency medicine doctor from Northern Ireland who joined LifeFlight in 2025.
