Aaron Nola and Ranger Suarez combined to pitch seven-scoreless, while Kyle Schwarber hit two homers as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8-2!   Aaron Nola opened things up for the Phillies getting through two scoreless innings allowing just two base runners. Then Ranger Suarez took over in the 3rd inning. The lefty allowed a homer to Tommy Edman on the first pitch he threw then settled in to toss four scoreless innings after that. The Phillies offense picked up in the top of the 4th inning with Kyle Schwarber BLASTED a 455ft home run to right left center filed that bounced off the overhang beyond the bleachers in right field.  The Phillies went on to add two more runs in the inning on an Alec Bohm single and throwing error that allowed Bryce Harper to score. Then Brandon Marsh came up with a sac fly RBI to left.   The surge helped run Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto after allowing three runs on six hits over just four-plus innings of work.   In the 8th, Philly put up a five spot! JT Realmuto started off the inning with a solo homer to left/center off Klayton Kershaw. Then Trea Turner plated two with a single to right. And as fate would have it, the man who started the Phillies scoring, also capped it off. The Philadelphia Phillies' 9th Inning Rally comes up short as they lose to the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-3!   Blake Snell and Jesus Luzardo were locked in a pitcher's duel through the 6th inning, holding the opposition scoreless.   In the 7th, the Dodgers took Luzardo for a single and a double to start off the inning, putting runners on 2nd and 3rd with no out. Orion Kerkering took over for Luzardo and allowed both his inherited runners to score. Matt Strahm then relieved Kerkering and surrendered an RBI single to Shohei Ohtani. Christopher Sanchez was brilliant through 5.2 innings, but left a slider up a little too much  to Enrique Hernandez in the 6th, and the Dodgers’ third baseman put it into the left field corner for a two-run double.   Sanchez was pulled for David Robertson and Robertson got his man as Max Muncy bounced one back to Robertson for the final out of the inning. However, for the first time this season, Robertson was asked to come back out after already working in one inning, an “up/down” in other words and the gamble did NOT pay off. Robertson allowed two base runners to start the 7th before being pulled for Matt Strahm.
