3 Reasons You Overeat

3 Reasons You Overeat

How many times have you told yourself, "now is the time; this bitch is about to lose weight"? But when it comes time for dinner, you keep eating until you're full as a tick, only to think... "I'll never lose weight. Something must be wrong with me." Or maybe you're eating pizza and you hear your mind racing with thoughts like, "this is too many calories," or "I shouldn't be eating this." If any of this sounds familiar, then you need this podcast. Shaming yourself because you overeat or mentally restricting while eating keeps you trapped in an overeating loop. When you listen or watch the video, you'll finally understand why you overeat (and get some help on what to do about it). Most of us sit around in a rut, waiting for doubts to go away before we... lose our weight feel as good as we want to love ourselves But a life you love isn't just gonna fall into your lap. We fool ourselves into thinking confidence will magically build itself. You'll lose your weight and then a switch will flip and you'll feel better. Don't do that to yourself. If there is even a little part of you who wants to lose weight, you can start making that possible for yourself by practicing the skill of believing. When you listen to this week's podcast with my friend Jennie Guinn, you'll have insights that will help you start creating the life you love (instead of hoping you'll magically wake up skinny). Most diets promise you'll reach some almighty number that'll make you proud and happy. That's not how it works. If you want to feel good once you lose weight, you don't just need a goal weight. You need to discover the answer to questions like... What kind of eater do you want to be? Do you want to be the kind of person who eats on plan during vacations, or is it okay to eat how you want, knowing you'll seamlessly get back on track when you get home? What kinds of food do you want to be able to enjoy without overeating them? When you don't know who you want to be as an eater, you might lose weight.... but you might not like the lifestyle you need to live to maintain it. You don't just need a goal weight. You need a goal life. Listen to Episode 307: Why You Need a Goal Weight and a Goal Life. In under 10 minutes, you'll have a mindset shift that'll help you set weightloss goals to help you create not only the body you want but the life you want. Get the Free Course here:

I don't want you to waste your time with shit that doesn't work These changes are backed by brain science - that's why they work You gotta know what to avoid just as much as you need to know what to do Make sure you listen to Episode 306: 3 Things That Helped Me Lose 100lbs today. When I was losing 100 lbs, there was a moment when I realized I was a whole new person (way before I'd lost all my weight). My weight stalled at just above 200 lbs for 6 weeks. I was exercising. I was eating better than ever had. The scale wasn't budging and it didn't make sense. In the past, I would've quit. But this time was different.  I told myself, "Old me quits in moments like this. New me doesn't quit, even if it feels like things aren't working. The only way I can't lose weight is by giving up." That was the moment I knew something big was happening. I had changed the way I talked to myself. I didn't quit when my weightloss stalled. If you want to lose weight for the last time, you can't talk to yourself in a way that leaves you throwing in the towel when things aren't perfect. This is what makes my approach to weightloss different. My process for losing weight makes damn sure you no longer throw in the towel when shit gets hard. Listen to today's podcast, "Loving Yourself WHILE You Lose Weight," so you can wake up one day thinking, "OMG, everything has changed!" Get the Free Course here:
Everyone who has lost weight has one thing in common. They doubted it was possible. Successful people, in the beginning, think things like… "This won't be good enough." "I'll probably gain it all back." "I've always failed and this time probably won't be different." This is good news for you. Your shitty doubts can't stop you from losing weight. Shitty doubts just feel like crap. They make it harder to lose weight... ...but your doubts can't STOP you from losing weight. I want you to make weightloss a whole lot easier. Nobody wants to lose weight and have it be hard. Today's podcast, "Overcoming Weightloss Doubt," will give you the exact things you need to do to reduce your doubts and feel some ease in weightloss. When you’re in a good weightloss routine, things like a cold or a stomach bug will throw a wrench in your plans. That’s why you need to know how to play the mental game of weightloss. Because when life happens, the only thing stopping you from losing weight is bullshit thinking like... “See! I can’t ever lose weight.” “Something always happens.” “I always get sent back to square one.” But I haven’t met anyone who’s overweight because they get too many stomach bugs. If being sick was the only reason I was overweight, losing weight would have been easy. The rest of the fucking year, eating healthy would be easy. Nothing needs to be perfect for you to lose weight when you know how to get back on track when your routines go to shit. Today’s podcast episode, “Weightloss and Being Sick” will help you get your weightloss back on track when shit happens. Listen today. Get the Free Course here:
If you would've seen me 16 years ago, you never would've guessed I'd: Lose 100 pounds Build 2 successful businesses Get ranked #1052 in the Inc 5000 of Fastest Growing Businesses in 2022 Every success story I've worked with in weightloss or business starts the same. Nervous as fuck, scared, thinking they can't do it, worried it won't work and concerned about what everybody's going to think of them. So if every success story had the same host of doodoo thoughts that you do about weightloss, that means your doodoo thoughts cannot stop you. Just like me, you have what it takes to be successful. And you don't need a magic wand. You need to pay attention to what you're thinking. Start by learning from me. You're not overweight because you haven't found the right calorie range or BS meal plan. The real problem is those moments when you... Say "fuck it" and eat the whole sleeve of Oreos when the guilt of having a "bad food' sets in Keep eating when you're full just cause there are a few bites left (and you HATE to waste them) 8pm rolls around and it feels easier to wind down with a snack than to just go to bed Your meal plan doesn't mean shit in those moments. That's why diet plans aren't the key to lasting weightloss. If all you needed to lose weight was a diet plan, nobody would struggle with their weight. You need more. Today's podcast will uncover the weightloss steps that no diet plan has ever given you. LIsten to Episode 301: Diet Plans vs. Weightloss Coaching today. Get the Free Course here:
If there's a part of you who wants to lose weight in 2023, don't make the mistake of just picking some plan. For this year to be different, YOU must DO different things. No more doing the same old diet techniques to lose weight wrapped up in a shiny new diet. Stop picking restrictive food plans if you dream of one day eating the foods you love effortlessly. Stop doubling down on the gym with killer workouts to make up for "eating sins" keeping you stuck losing and gaining weight while working hard. I watch women using the same old diet techniques to lose weight, but they are still struggling because they don't have the real skills required to lose weight. To help you, I'm sharing what I've learned losing 100 pounds and helping 1000s of women lose their weight for the last time. Listen to Episode 299: 3 Signs You'll Lose Weight in 2023. When I talk to women about weightloss, a lot of us are scared to set a weightloss goal. This happens because when we set a goal, our brain brings up ALL the horse shit. Like shame about past failed diets. Or fear we won't be able to meet our goal. These feelings can stop us from setting goals. But it's normal for our brain to look to the past for evidence that we can't meet our goals. But, that doesn't mean you should skip making one. When we set a goal, it gives us the ability to determine if we're on track to meet it. It's hard to know if you are succeeding without one. And without a goal, we can look at the things that are actually working for you to lose weight. I've watched too many women skip setting a weightloss goal. Instead, they just google a new meal plan and hope they will be able to do it perfectly. So, on today's podcast, I'm teaching you the 3 simple steps it takes to set a weightloss goal and overcome those normal feelings of fear and doubt. I normally only teach this to members of the No BS Weightloss Program, but I'm sharing it with you because I believe that setting a goal will help you lose weight. Listen to today's podcast, Simple Steps to Set a Weightloss Goal now. Here's to setting (and achieving) our goals in 2023! Get the Free Course here:
I spent a whole Saturday researching the new WeightWatchers PersonalPoints Plan so I can give you the lowdown. Why? My personal mission is to help you successfully lose weight (whether it's with me, WeightWatchers or some other program). I was excited to see ways they may have improved, but there are things that they've absolutely missed the mark on. I don't want these to stall your weightloss. Or, cause further setbacks in your relationship with food and your ability to lose weightloss. That's why I recorded a podcast dedicated to helping you discover the missing pieces that can help you lose weight (regardless of the program you use). In December, everybody starts thinking January 1st is going to be some magical moment where everything's going to change. This mindset is why we end up stalling our current weightloss or even regaining weight during the holidays. The way I help people avoid this is a different approach than what the weightloss industry talks about. I teach 4 basics that anyone can use to lose weight. They are simple, but they aren't easy. Most diets stop there. They only give you the steps you need to follow to lose weight. I haven't met a woman yet who doesn't know how to lose weight. Knowing how is the easy part. What they fail to acknowledge is our mindset. We beat ourselves up, believing we're a failure because of diets that haven't led to successful long-term weightloss. When you heap shame or judgment on top of a failed diet, it often triggers overeating, which never solves a stall or plateau. That's why I created today's podcast episode. You'll learn how to work through the mindset part of weightloss which is the key to losing your weight for the last time. When you try to lose weight, do you ever ask yourself... - Why can't I get my shit together? - What's wrong with me? - What if I never lose my weight? Here's what I wish someone told me sooner... Bullshit questions don't help you lose weight. Think about it. You'll never get an answer that feels amazing. You just get a mental beatdown. Today on the podcast, I'll give you 6 questions you must start asking yourself to HELP you lose weight (and help you keep going through the tough times). I used them to lose 100 lbs and so do all of my No BS Weightloss Program™ success stories. Listen to Episode 296: Why Can't I Get My Shit Together? Get the Free Course here:
How to Stick to a Diet

How to Stick to a Diet

Wanna know the truth about WHY you don't stick to a diet? It's not because you don't have enough willpower. It's because you're going balls to the wall trying to be perfect at a ridiculously hard diet. THEN, when it gets too hard, you're saying "fuck it" and eating all the foods your diet restricted. It's not your fault your weightloss isn't lasting. That shit doesn't work and nobody has taught you another way. When I decided to lose weight for the last time, I realized on day 1 that I had to make small changes if I wanted this time to be different. When these small changes didn't seem like enough, I knew I had to make a decision. I asked myself… Did I want the pain of thinking this wasn't good enough, but knowing I was actually doing some things that one day would add up? Or did I want the pain of trying to start asshole diets that I for sure was going to flame out on every single time? I lost 100 lbs and kept it off for 15 years by doing shit that diets taught me "wasn't good enough". This might be hard to do because you're conditioned by diets to do ALL the things at once. To help you learn how to stick to your next diet, I share what I wish someone told me sooner about committing to weightloss in today's podcast episode, How to Stick to a Diet. Just listening for the 1st time. Want the help and info - but too distracted by the consistent swearing. It’s not necessary, and takes away some integrity in the teaching.

sorry I'm on the other side of the spectrum of anger over wasting time talking about the self-righteous, small minded, who want to control, and complain about someone's vocabulary. Ignore them and tell them to F#@k OFF.

Developing self-love is never easy, but it's a lot less difficult when you are provided a safe space to get your shit together. Yes, the work you do to develop a better relationship with your own body is definitely a tough row to hoe, but let's not act like the support of a devoted partner is nothing. I'm sure Corinne would have found a way no matter what, as she is strong-willed and determined, but we aren't all made of the same material, and we don't all have the good fortune to cross paths with that special person who will love us unconditionally. I'm super lucky, and so grateful, my husband is that person for me. I couldn't do the work without him. I feel sure I can't be the only one who needs a partner to push me and pick me up.
