On July 23rd, 2025, Bryan Kohberger was about to be sentenced to life behind bars for the murder of four University of Idaho college students. The November 2022 slayings of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, and Maddie Mogen shocked the entire nation. The four friends had crashed after a night of partying when Kohberger, a graduate student at nearby Washington State University, snuck into their off-campus home through an unlocked sliding-glass door and killed them all with a large knife. Prosecutors had cut a deal with the devil. After months of asserting his innocence, Kohberger, 30, agreed to plead guilty to four counts of murder and one count of burglary, and to waive all rights to any appeal. In return, he’d avoid the gas chamber. For some, particularly the loved ones of 21-year-old Kaylee Goncalves, it was a bitter pill to swallow. Kohberger, they believed, deserved to die for his crimes. Following the initial shock of the news, the remaining victims’ families said they supported the deal. From their viewpoint, Kohberger would spend the rest of his life in prison and they wouldn’t have to spend the rest of theirs attending courtroom hearings listening to lawyers squabble over technicalities. Before authorities sent Kohberger on a one-way trip to the Idaho Maximum Security Institution, family members of Ethan, Xana, Kaylee, and Maddie had one opportunity to face him at sentencing. It was an opportunity they did not take lightly, resulting in one of the most unforgettable and jaw-dropping courtroom scenes in recent memory. In this episode of Say Yes to the Mess Jami and Jessi catch up on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 and Real Housewives of Miami Season 7, with a Below Deck special mention. Jami explains, passionately (of course), why some of the OC and Miami ladies are on her sh*t list, while Jessi logically explains why some of their insufferable behavior is EXACTLY WHY she tunes in each week. The ladies chat about the water-toss on Miami, Stephanie’s exhausting “new-money” energy, how Guerdy and Katie are being held to a different standard, and which Housewives are currently providing the most comic relief. Jami and Jessi give a special mention to the current season of Below Deck (season 12) because they think it’s one of the best seasons in the show’s history.  Follow Jami @JamiOnAir on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. In this episode of Serial Streamers Jami and her bestie, Jessi, discuss the viral Netflix documentary “Amy Bradley Is Missing.” In March 1998, 23-year-old Amy Bradley went missing while on a cruise with her family. 27 years later, Amy’s family and the public don’t know what happened to her. In the Netflix docuseries about her disappearance, various theories are presented. One theory holds that Amy Bradley fell or jumped off the cruise ship balcony connected to the room she was staying in. The other theory suggests Amy may have been sex trafficked and may still be alive today. Jami and Jessi walk through the various theories, the available evidence and give their opinions on what may have happened to Amy.  Follow Jami @JamiOnAir on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube to join the Serial Streamers true crime TV club! For better or worse, love can be the ultimate motivator. It can make people feel invincible, emboldened to chase after their greatest ambitions. On the flipside, love can turn toxic and drive a person to do things they never thought they would. On July 5th 2003, 37-year-old Sandra “Sandee” Rozzo was gunned down in the Pinellas Park home she shared with her boyfriend. Was this a case of love gone wrong? Or something else entirely? As law enforcement began their investigation an entire community was set on edge, fearing they could be next. On a crisp evening in April 2023, 20-year-old Alexa Bartell was driving to her girlfriend’s house. The two were on the phone together, when suddenly, the call dropped. Alexa’s girlfriend, Jenna Griggs, tried calling Alexa back several times but the call went straight to voicemail. When Jenna opened the Find My Friends app, she saw something alarming. It appeared as though Alexa’s vehicle had veered off the road and into a wildlife refuge, and wasn’t moving. When Jenna reached Alexa’s location, she’d be faced with devastating news. Alexa had been killed. Someone had thrown a large landscaping rock through her windshield, killing the young woman instantly. On a frigid February day in 1974, 25-year-old graduate student Mary Schlais stuck out her thumb to hitch a ride. She planned to travel from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Madison, Wisconsin and then make her way north to Chicago to attend an art show. Back then, it was common for young people to rely on the kindness of strangers for transportation. Hitchhiking around the Twin Cities was something Mary did regularly. That cold February day was the last time anyone saw the free-spirited woman alive. Mary’s body was discovered later that day, but it would be more than 50 years before her killer was tracked down through genetic genealogy.  Subscribe to Jami’s YouTube channel @JamiOnAir: https://www.youtube.com/@jamionair Follow Jami @JamiOnAir on Instagram and TikTok. In this episode of Serial Streamers Jami and her bestie, Jessi, recap the Hulu and Max documentaries Sherri Papini: “The Perfect Wife” and Sherri Papini: Caught in the Lie.” These documentaries are about the wild tale of the real life “Gone Girl,” Sherri Papini, who faked her own abduction in 2016. Jami and Jessi walk listeners through this twisted story, and provide their own hot takes throughout. Jami also reveals that she’s been lying on a government document for decades and defends why her own lies are NOT the same as Sherri “FULL-OF-CRAPini’s.” This episode gets you caught up on all the juicy details of Sherri Papini’s unbelievable story, and provides some comic relief because Jami and Jessi just can’t help themselves. 31:49 - that's not a 360°, that's a 180° -- they just u-turned around and were going back in the direction from whence they came... unless they did a 540° (meaning they did the 360°, then continued to go another 180° around). 🤔

Webster is not a pit stop town. it's the home of Nasa Space Center, and it has a very large community of aerospace related jobs and employees in addition to a robust medical center and hospitality locations. please get your research right before you make statements because erroneous statements could draw the irritation and ire of those of us that live in and near these areas. and you lose credibility.

Don't know how I feel about dude. He's very Robert Stackish. His voice makes it sound creepier for some reason.

yea can't do that voice. zero inflection or emotion. sounds like a computer reading, with very little observation of punctuation. hard to tell sometimes where one sentence ends and the next begins.

Would the mother of a 2year old child have a one-night-stand when her child was a) sleeping next door and b) still being breastfed and might wake up several times per night, if only to be given the breast for comfort, for example ? I seriously doubt that.

Very boring podcast. Tried listening but could never get into her storytelling. Very basic true crime podcast not going to learn anything new or enlightening about these cases unfortunately.
