We have a great podcast after one of the best playoff games in the history of Citi Field where the Mets put on a hitting clinic, not getting struck out a single time. Game 3 was not what we wanted but as we’ve seen in the past, you can always have faith in this Mets team to come out and attack after a tough loss. Luis Severino got some tough breaks early on and worked himself out of some jams but the offense was not able to provide support, that’s baseball and we look forward to seeing this lineup come out in Game 4 and give the people at Citi Field something to celebrate.

We said yesterday the Dodgers scoreless innings streak couldn’t go on forever and Francisco Lindor said “bet” in the first at bat of the game! Then Sean Manaea shut down the response and Tyone Taylor drove in a run setting up Mark Vientos for one of the biggest moments of his career where he hit his first career grand slam … in the postseason! The Mets head back to Citi Field with all the momentum, hope to see all of you there and hear Mets fans helping create, as Rob Thompson said … “a hostile environment”

Game 1 wasn’t the episode we wanted, but every team has a tough game and there’s no team better at responding to tough games than the Mets. Kodai Senga struggled early, the bats never truly woke up but Game 2 is a new day and the Mets are still in the perfect spot to head back to Citi Field with a split series on the back of Sean Manaea, who has stepped up as the Mets ace this year.

The place was bonkers we didn’t only do a top 3 on field moment, but we also did a top 3 crowd moment. The Mets take a crazy Game 1 vs the NL 2nd place Phillies who like others, had the Mets backs up against a wall late in the game off a spectacular start from Zack Wheeler, but YET AGAIN, these never say die Mets show up when challenged. Although a leadoff Kyle Schwarber home run is a tough way to start a game, Kodai Senga shined after, and David Peterson picked up the ball to take the game all the way through a Reed Garret late appearance to keep the Phils off the board.
