Previously known as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, True Sunlight is the intersection of True Crime, journalism and systematic corruption. Welcome to the new face of MMP.
True Sunlight is the antithesis of True crime. True Sunlight values accuracy over "access journalism". True Sunlight is shed with empathy — not exploitation. True Sunlight was created as a matter of public service — not just entertainment. While the name of the podcast has changed, our mission, values and team have not. We are simply expanding our horizons while continuing to shine a much needed bright light on crime and corruption wherever it appears.
Celebrated journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell are taking their style of reporting beyond Alex Murdaugh and his co-conspirators while pursuing justice for all the victims you've met so far.
Ranked #1 globally in 2021 as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, True Sunlight provides unmatched insight into the crimes and criminals exposed on MMP and dives deep into new instances of corruption across the US.
We empower listeners to understand their legal and judicial systems through investigative journalism while providing tools to hold agencies and public figures accountable in order to change those systems for the better.

Good luck on your new work! I was engrossed in your MMP podcasts and the thoughtful work that you put into it! Looking forward to your podcasts in the future!
Sadly I can't even get through the first episode because her vouce makes my head hurt. I've heard it's great though
What's with all these democratic politicians representing these scum bags
This is one of the most informative podcasts regarding the corruption.
Ya'll talk shit about Mandy's vocal Frey, but nothing is worse than listening to Alex smack while he's talking. 😫
I likedthe Poot som until hearing about this.. Poot was his nickade we could not say his full name—not a mean name.
One thing i wish you would cut back on are the ads. I know you get money for them but ”we Will be right back”and the ad before start is super annoying:(
Why is everything repeated so much? I'm confused at where I am up to as the same thing is said over and over is so many episodes. I keep having to check if I've accidentally clicked on an old episode.
I truly wish your episode list was in order! Is that doable? Thanks! I am obsessed with this tale from the Low Country of South Carolina!
I don't think I could ever be on a jury. My face would be screaming "Mr Lawyer sir, you are a dumbass!" or when someone was lying my eyes would do this so hard. 🙄
Who edited this? It is strewn with repeated lines.
Wait why would someone want you to leave this criminal alone? He didn't care enough to leave his victims alone. How can there be people out there that still support him? 🤔
good lord what an annoying episode. I thought I was listening to an investigative reporting podcast on this case. Not some feminist-promoting bullshit!
Dno why so many people are slating the woman's voice. She's a solid-research, story-breaking local journo of the highest calibre, judge her on her work. Plus sorry to say it, since so many ppl feel so passionately about it, but this is what most Americans sound like to the rest of the world and we still listen to you - when you make great content... and often when you don't!
Love the podcast. There's nothing wrong with your voice. Your research is top notch.
So what was the evidence that they found at the house that made them reopen Stephens case??
I don’t know if it’s the app or the episodes but ep 79-current I cannot get them to play
What's up with the "Doves" and the sunflowers that have been replanted?? Did he hide something out there?
Alex wants Buster to enroll because he KNOWS he will be found guilt of murder and Buster's chance of getting into any law school after that is sim to none. Not only that, but if Buster completes law school, Alex will have an inside man again.
