On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Peter is in high spirits after a successful weekend has propelled him to the top of the table! However, with only one point separating first and last place and Paddy Power looking to spice up the forfeit, it is getting as tense as the Premier League title race. And the lads’ football focus isn’t just on players this week, they also dedicate some time to the recent sh*thousery that was poor Peter’s positioning at a recent TNT game. Looking ahead to this weekend’s coming games, the lads are giving their predictions for Wolves v Arsenal, Palace v West Ham and Villa v Bournemouth. Let us know your predictions in the comments! As is fast becoming a tradition on this pod, we also hear from the lovely Susie Dents who addresses a fan question from last week as well as providing a dictionary definition on one of the lads favourite football terms. Chumbawamba!00:30 Intro03:14 Competitive Couples07:37 Lovely, Late Goals13:22 TNT Housery15:41 Predictions24:55 I’m a Celeb30:00 The Lovely, Susie DentSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, a very well fed Crouchy, Chris and Sids are joined briefly by the one and only Tony of Tony’s Pie & Mash who is on hand to get the boys game ready ahead of the record. Peter, fresh off the back of a gruelling training session down at Brentford’s training ground is contemplating dusting his shin pads off and getting back in the game full time…..once the back spasms subside. Today, the lads are discussing football journalism and their relationship with the media during their playing days. Steve Snitchwell reveals how dressing rooms can become very dark places when managers no longer feel they can trust their places to treat the dressing room as sacred and the repercussions this can have on the wider team. The lads also dig deep on other famous instances of footballer’s relationships with the media including ‘The Secret footballer’ the identity of whom was once rumoured to be none other than our very own ginger Iniesta. And, to sum it all up, the lads play a very amusing edition of snog, marry, avoid featuring some of Peter’s former favourites…Chumbawamba00:24 Intro05:03 Tony’s Pie and Mash x West Ham09:33 Every Little Helps10:09 Crouchy’s Comeback17:35 Football Journalists28:40 Steve Snitchwell39:13 Anon43:35 The Headliner01:01:00 Memory Lane01:02:24 Listener Messages01:03:48 Cap On, Cap Off01:04:30 Snog, Marry, AvoidSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFor more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14  Hosted on Acast. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy and the boys are back where they belong…..down the pub. And whilst Crouchy may have taken a break, the race for glory in the Premier League certainly was not. In what was a fairly underwhelming week in terms of points performance, Peter’s massive 3 point result on the Luton game has brought all the boys neck and neck on points with only a handful of games left to play!In a sure fire sign it is really heating up, Notorious decides to add another layer of jeopardy to the table by throwing a very special bonus point up for grabs during one of the matches - find out how at the end of the episode. The boys also react to some potentially massive news that broke in this week’s world of football ahead of looking forward to this week’s games of Arsenal v Villa, Newcastle v Tottenham and Forest v Wolves. Want to get involved in this week’s predictions? On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete is coming in live and direct from Dubai where he has been sunning himself for the past couple of weeks. In Pete’s absence, Chris and Sid’s have been trawling the emails for some of their favourite messages from you guys throughout the season that we haven’t been able to feature so far! We lift the lid on some of the harsher initiations that he had to go through, as well as some of the more heartwarming moments that helped team bonding. We also hear about Abdul, a legendary coach driver who risked it all to make sure one of our listeners was able to make it down to Wembley, which prompts Pete to tell a hilarious anecdote from the time he shared a cab with the legend that is Vinnie Jones. And in a shocking turn of events, Mr #BBQc himself relives the time his life was almost tragically cut short in what would have been the most ironic way for him to shift off this mortal coil. Enjoy this special messages episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast!00:27 Intro06:36 Legendary Coach Drivers10:05 Home and Away17:48 David Ginola Taught Me How to Kiss22:30 Pro v Pundit26:21 Haters gonna hateSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. It is another holiday special episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, with the Crouchy and Sids both abandoning Britain’s green and pleasant lands for warmer waters further afar. But have no fear, thanks to the wonders of modern technology we are able to bring 2/3 of your favourite trio back together to give their predictions on this weekend’s big games! After Sids was the only one who managed to get his name on the scoresheet last weekend, with his points being doubled due to his use of the Paddy Power boost, it seems that this year’s title could be slipping away from Pete.......However, don’t write him off yet, there is still plenty of football to go and only a mere 3 points separating him and the top spot….it is certainly all to play for. Stay tuned for the lads predictions on Man Utd v Liverpool, Luton v Bournemouth and Sheff Utd v Chelsea as well as a message from the lovely Susie Dent who has some ‘eye opening’ information on the origins of the term Daisycutter in football. Want to get involved? On today’s Episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, the lads are lifting the lid on exactly what happens in the gym at a Premier League Club. We hear about the players that like to avoid the gym at all costs yet seem to maintain a god like physique all year round as well as others who are more concerned with making your ears bleed than achieving a PB on bench press. Crouchy also talks about how there is now more emphasis not just on staying physically fit but mentally fit in today’s game compared to when him and Steve where still in the dressing room. Chris, who is currently on his own fitness and well being journey also talks about how getting down the gym is changing his outlook on life. In other business, the lads have a very informative message from Countryfile’s very own Adam Henson who explains why Anderson had exactly the right idea when putting his money into cattle and the lads answer your burning question on which football ground provides the best food when the lads are on comms…Chumbawamba00:00 Intro05:38 Adam Henson08:20 Evolution of Gym Culture in Football16:18 Man Mana-gymt20:32 Gym Flicks 25:21 Mental Fitness31:07 ‘He is a freak’41:23 Lost in Translation44:33 Goalie Hat50:32 Tony’s Pie and MashSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 Hosted on Acast. Where to start? Another week, another credibility damaging set of results but the important thing is the boys are back (hopefully stronger) for another set of predictions. On this week’s episode Crouchy has disappeared to Dubai, meanwhile Chris & Sids wallow in the British weather warnings. We also look into Chris’ latest parching and why the Podcast is everything that Mikel Arteta would hate. The games the lads are attempting to predict this week are Manchester City V Arsenal, Brentford v Manchester United & Newcastle V West Ham. Make sure you get in touch and send in your predictions/ Make sure you all stick around to the end to hear Susie Dent back educating us all about the origins of the word bottle job. Hosted on Acast. On this week’s episode Crouchy has finally recovered from his illness enough to escape the ‘house arrest’ San Marino had placed him under. So he joins the rest of the boys back in the pub discussing substitutes and Paddy Power’s new Super Sub offer.Sidwell and Crouchy recall some of their bench warming highlights (Crouchy has plenty of these from his last few years before retirement!) from quick reactions to claim an assist to the joys of only playing for five minutes and taking all the headlines. Chris also confesses his back to back most improved player award and tries to rebrand and address the stigma around this award as we start to nominate players for That Peter Crouch Podcast 23/24 Most Improved Player. Head over to Paddy Power to get involved with their super sub offer. Valid on selected leagues and markets only. Applies to pre-match and in-play singles, multiples and bet builder bets on qualifying Player outcome selections. If Super Sub comes on and wins your bet for you, it will only be settled at full time. Does not apply to Power Prices & retail bets. On todays episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris and Sid’s are left reeling from ANOTHER stinker of a weekend. With no points all round, the lads are welcoming the upcoming international break which will hopefully help boost them out of their current performance struggles. We get the boys’ hot take on the recent news surrounding the Forest’s 4 point deduction and just what this will mean for this season’s relegation battle.Pete also shares his opinion on Ben White’s decision not to play for England during this summer’s Euro tournament and if it is wver acceptable to turn down playing for the three lions. And to round this week’s podcast off, we are back over to dictionary corner where the lovely Susie Dent is telling us exactly what the relationship is between a nutmeg and a Lancashire cuckhold! Chumbawamba Hosted on Acast. On this week’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, we have a bit of a different set up as sick note Pete continues to be shackled to San Marino’s side. It is a double whammy of disappointment for Sid’s and Chris who are not only deprived of their weekly pint with the bigman but also of an interview with King Cantona himself. The Man Utd legend sadly pulled out of today’s interview after realising this may not have been the best platform to host an interview WITHOUT mentioning his football career. But fear not, the lads have still got a belter lined up for you. Crouchy, Chris and Sids are talking all things endorsements. Pete reveals that he would have signed for anyone who could have sorted him an Adidas rig out and the real reason benchwarmers would be overjoyed being an unused sub at a champions league final. From Bovril, to M&S and even Gerrard’s cast offs - it’s safe to say there are not many gigs Pete hasn’t done and he isn’t afraid to get into the gory details of this entails! Also, stay tuned for Pete’s rant of the season when he takes aim at the state of modern footballers, you won’t want to miss it. ChumbawambaSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast the lads are stripping it back to basics and bringing you an audio only experience due to Pete pulling a last minute sickyBut fear not, apart from being able to see what impeccable style Notorious and Chris are channeling this week, it is very much business as usual. Feeling emboldened by his big results over the weekend, Sid’s decides to pull a worldie out the bag and drop his good pal Declan Rice a quick voicemail to see if those shi*tty rumours going around about his bowel movements against Porto were true….and his response does not disappoint! We also hear from friend of the pod and all round lovely person, Susie Dent, who heard our pleas for a dictionary corner revival and has given us a very insightful insight on the history of the word ‘panache’ We also have brand new feature to the podcast that will help spice these weekly results up a bit and potentially blow the title race wide open - so stay tuned for that. Looking ahead to this weekend, the lads are discussing the Manchester Utd v Liverpool FA Cup Fixture, Burnley v Brentford and Fulham v Spurs games. Want to get involved? On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris and Sids have some very exciting news… It has been a long and arduous road, but finally it looks like Crouchy has managed to pull a few strings and get Manchester United legend Eric Cantona to sit down and talk to the lads. In preparation for this, the lads sit down and look at some of Cantona’s most iconic moments during his football career, including THAT kung-fu kick, his questionable quotes, worldie goals and all round maverick moments. Chris also gives the lads a bit of an update on his recent weight loss journey, detailing some devastating remarks he has received from the missus as well as stick from the lads for counting walking as a form of exercise rather than a mode of transportation. The lads also give their point of view on why opposition players seem to be switching ends less after winning the coin toss, and Chris gives his damming verdict on the modern game. Chumbawamba00:31 Intro05:02 Slendertone 07:52 Cantona's14:45 Mystery Jersey Gifts:16:46 Sh*tty Bus Journeys25:05 Liam Pitchford: Handsome Bast*rd36:34 Le French 40:53 Co-commentary44:52 Let’s Get Mike Dean on the BlowerSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris and Sids have pulled the pod back from the brink of cancellation with a whopping collective 4 points between them. In a week where Sid’s former team suffered heartbreak at the hands of Liverpool and have been blasted as ‘Billion pound bottlejobs’ by former Valencia manager Gary Neville, and Pete became a viral sensation for his hoedown throwdown antics, the lads have had plenty to catch up on.Chris, mourning the defeat of his beloved Watford at the hands of Huddersfield becomes a part time criminal with the thievery of a courgette curry with surprising results. Sids gives his expert opinion on what went wrong for his beloved Chelsea in the carabao cup and why age really is just a number (especially when it comes to to blueys) Looking ahead to this weekend, the boys give their predictions for Newcastle v Wolves, Everton v West Ham and, of course, the big weekend fixture - the Manchester derby. Want to get involved in the predictions? On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris and Sids are discussing just how players manage to transition out of the only life they have ever known and into a whole new world once their playing days are over. An emotional Steve Sidwell opens up on the mental toll that having your career ended not on your own terms can have on a player, as well as the available support networks that exist within a club to help ease the transition as much as possible. From punditry to coaching badges, Crouchy and the lads give their unique, behind closed doors insight into what goes through the mind of player when it comes to forging that new career path. We also hear about Pete’s recent lucid dreams, the world’s most expensive cheese sandwich and a rather amusing story from friend of the pod Rio Ferdinand who reveals the graziest but udderly brilliant investment opportunity from one of his former team mates. Chumawamba00:00 Intro04:56 The Greatest Spectacle on Earth08:35 QVC15:51 The Transition19:32 Put a Badge on That25:12 Pundit Pete34:23 Time to Put your Feet Up46:18 Steven Sidwell: Business Mangate52:18 Dont Have a Cow, ManSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, the lads are back at base and are joined by the elusive Notorious SID who has some explaining to do as to his recent whereabouts….Crouchy, Chris and Sids rue another disappointing week on the leaderboard which collectively saw all the lads only accumulate 1 point between them - ouch! However, the ever confident Chris Stark insists that all hope is not last and it definitely isn’t squeaky bum time for any of the lads when it comes to the end of season forfeit as there is still just under a third of the season yet to be played. After another massive win for Arsenal last week, Crouchy admits that he may have been a bit hasty in calling it a two horse race a few weeks back and that Liverpool’s injury list means that the season could end up being a lot closer than initially thought. Looking ahead to this weekend’s games, Peter and the lads give their predictions on the Arsenal v Newcastle, Man Utd v Fulham and Aston Villa v Nott’m Forest games. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy and Chris are still in the driving seat after a suspect Sidwell has been outed for pulling a sicky in order to hit the slopes. As they find themselves missing a wingman for the second podcast running, the lads thought it would only be right that they enlist the help of British F1 legend - Lando Norris. After taking some heat for his super safe driving tendencies over the past few weeks, Crouchy has called in some favours and got the team down to Mclaren’s Technology Center to settle some scores. Not only do the lads get to sit down with Lando to find out what makes one of the UK’s top athletes tick - from DJ’ing in Ibiza to video gaming with the lads - with a little bit of F1 thrown in for good measure. We also give a big thanks to Mclaren for allowing the big man to silence the haters and put himself behind the wheel with Lando so we could see how much of a brilliant, yet very safe and sensible driver he really is. And would what a trip to Mclaren be without a car XI? On this week’s special episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy and Chris are flying solo after receiving a rather suspicious ’sick voice’ voicemail from The Notorious SID. After what can only be described as an absolute disaster of a weekend last week, the lads feel that they owe you an apology for what they have described as ‘absolute drivel’ predictions where they lost more points than they won. But fear not, hot off the heals of his favourite day of the year, Chris ‘Pancake’ Stark is feeling reinvigorated and ready to continue his march into the front of the leaderboard. The lads also discuss all things ‘Blueys’ TNT Conspiracy theories and Crouchy has a personal apology for his piss poor pun performance last week. If you want to get involved in the predictions for the weekend or even any forfeit suggestions for the loser of this season’s title race then leave your suggestions in the comments!Chumbawamba00:00 Introduction05:33 What Happened to Integrity07:25 Pancake, Pancake, Pancake10:08 Chris Stark, Heartthrob 13:09 TNT Sh*thousery19:26 Man City v Chelsea22:40 Newcastle v Bournemouth 25:36 Forest v West Ham 28:33 Shirt NamesSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14 #PeterCrouch #ThatPeterCrouchPodcast Hosted on Acast. On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy Chris and Sids are joined by the one and only Didi ‘The Kaiser’ Hamann. Didi and Pete lift the lid on some of the surprising antics they got up to on the red side of Merseyside, with ciggies in the changing rooms, partying with the chairman and an impromptu trip to Japan all getting an honourable mention. The lad’s also couldn’t sit down with The Kaiser and not discuss that memorable night in Istanbul. Didi reveals who he believes had the biggest impact on the team (spoiler alert: It’s not who you think it is) and he relives what is possibly the most famous half time team talk in football history. The lads also talk about his love of Germany, Oktoberfest experiences and why coaching isn’t for him. As has now become tradition on the podcast, Crouchy also gets The Kaiser to give his hot take on our starting XI - this thyme it’s herbs and spices, you don’t want to miss it. 00:11 Introduction03:43 Pete’s Tight with Kuyt08:41 One Night in Istanbul10:32 Djimi Traore 16:30 Alcohol and Cigarettes19:27 Penalty Tekkers27:35 Tokyo a-drift31:22 Career reflections and 36:01 The Golden Generation 40:58 Talkin Pony48:11 Jurgen Klopp55:17 The KaiserSubscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFULBvlxNWW8cWsrV6fGrcwFollow our Clips page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLNBLB3xr3LyiyAkhZEtiAA For more Peter Crouch: Twitter - https://twitter.com/petercrouch Therapy Crouch - https://www.youtube.com/@thetherapycrouch For more Chris Stark Twitter - https://twitter.com/Chris_StarkInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/chrisstark/For more Steve Sidwell Twitter - https://twitter.com/sjsidwell Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/stevesidwell14  Hosted on Acast. I suggest the forfeit should be the looser has to eat one profiterole for every goal they got wrong in the predicted scores over the season, whilst drinking four pints of the brewdog black stuff, wearing ben sherman named pants and a bib. Ho and all this has to be done in the time it takes for the average podcast. your welcome ;)

Used to be a great podcast, series 1 is where it peaked to be honest - with genuinely interesting insight into the life of a professional footballer (role of the captain outside of the pitch etc). It has since gone downhill sadly, most chat about what to do with ‘statman Dave’ before the series ends - although the Pele episode was refreshing. It would be nice to hear more stories of players, dressing room antics, how sponsors approached players etc etc Sadly it’s mostly lacking now.
