The end of the WGC era closed down in Austin as Sam Burns defeated Cameron Young 6 and 5 to win the Match Play Championship. Both finalists needed extra holes to win their semifinal matches on Sunday morning as Burns defeated Scottie Scheffler while Young outlasted Rory McIlroy.  We show some appreciation for Austin Country Club, look back at the entire week's action and eulogize our favorite moments from the WGC e]ra in professional golf.We also react to the audio from our interview with Rory on the MLR ball and his take on the distance debate (1:10:15). Plus our monthly Ryder Cup segment presented by BMW and some other news and notes from the past week in golf.  
Trevor Immelman returns to the pod to take an early look at the upcoming Masters and also offers some great insights from his win at Augusta in 2008. Kurt Kitayama holds off a star-studded leaderboard at Bay Hill to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational and claim his first career win on tour. To your point about the equipment being too strong for the pros. The USGA should make the pros use equipment that doesnt go as far, just as MLB uses wooden bats. Keeps it fun for those up and coming, and challenges the best in the game properly.
