Weight Loss, Part 1

2021-05-1901:10:2430

Today we’re breaking down Weight Loss. To kick off Season 5 and this two part episode, Angela shares that the DVD commentary features commentary from The Office crew! The crew gives the lowdown on how they shot this episode that spans over an 8 week period. It was a continuity nightmare with fruit flies, goatees, and a cast member that had to have their shirt digitally altered in post. The ladies also break down an old tech alert that caused camera interference and we find out what’s going on with Meredith’s sunburnt face. Enjoy this episode now, so you can get in bed with your nice comforter, several cozy pillows, read a chapter of your book and have lights out by 8:30. That’s how you sleep at night.
As Jenna and Angela prepare for Season 5 of The Office, Office Ladies takes a look back at Grief Counseling. This episode starts off with some real life bird trouble, and we get some special audio treats from Mindy Kaling and the episode writer herself, Jen Celotta. Then we dig into chip rankings, we clear up a fan theory around Ed Truck’s death, and we find out who’s been moving the conference table. Finally, we get a writer’s room deep dive on Dwight’s absorbed twin speech, and Jenna learns to not touch melons in France. Amen! is it just me or does anyone else have sudden skips/repeats in listening? Like the timeline will still be running normally, but all of a sudden the audio itself skips back 30 seconds or skips forward. This doesn't happen to any other podcasts I listen to and it happens on almost every Office Ladies, so it's almost like an issue with editing or some type of glitch.

in 7nd season, Dwight has a client calling with Stanley. in the season Dwight owns the building, and the elevator is out and Stanley has to go up the stairs, and he says that there was no way that he would never use the stairs. also with Oscar and Holly about him setting her up with woth his yoga instructor. when they met, she said she was a lesbian because she's had bad luck with men. so it's not the weirdest thing that he offered to set her up with someone that has the same interest because Holly said (to Michael, that she does yoga on her first day in the office)

Way to drag out the podcast by doing yet another re-run. Ridiculous. Don't post an episode at all if its not new.

oh come on. "repeats" on a podcast is so lame. this isn't TV. if you don't have an episode don't release an episode. what a kick in the stomach. so you think we don't know how to scroll through the list of episodes to relisted to one?

John Wick was pretty good up until the part with that ridiculous assassins hotel. Then it went downhill fast and I just couldn't take any of it seriously.

This is where The Office started to go downhill. Holly is a very annoying character and not funny.
