I was a legal secretary and I assumed I would go to law school at some point but I'd had to be an Alan Alda and one of my bosses was like that and her life was miserable I thought.

Beth and Sarah, Thank you so much for today's podcast! I live in the Quad Cities (Iowa) and am a proud Democrat. I was precinct captain for Warren at my caucus Monday night. It was so discouraging the rest of the week to listen to all of the podcasts that I typically listen to and hear all of the disgust and disappointment about Iowa. My husband and I are very, very busy people. We both work full time, we have 2 biological children, and we fostered to adopt 6 additional children. I make it a priority for not only myself but my children as well to learn about politics and democracy and how we can make our world a better place. My 13 year old daughter told me on Tuesday that there were so many memes on Facebook making fun of Iowans and she said that she now believes that Iowans votes don't count. As a mother of 2 girls, I share your rage and angst. I don't know what to tell them other than don't get in situations that put you at risk. as a life long Republican I am ashamed and repulsed with the whole lot. we have to do better for our sons and daughters. Thanks for saying what I don't have words for.

i dont see the contrast...its a hillary democrat and a gw bush repub. theyre the same thing except for regional diffs. they govern on visceral emotion and will bow to popular opinion/media pressure. the repub slightly reactionary, the hill dem adjusts policies with every poll

This podcast is very much in the vein of NPR's "Left, Right, and Center." That is to say that, much like LRC, it claims to offer more than 1 POV yet seems to be able to deliver anything but. These 2 ladies are clearly both from the Left, so am wondering why the deception??? Just own it.
