As she heads to the breakfast table, Red has so much going through her head. She had a bad night's sleep with lots of dreams, and when Blue tells her she was talking in her sleep, her mother looks at her concerned. Red heads off to school to try and think things through before meeting with the gang at lunchtime. Can she tell them more about herself and about being from Mars, or will they just not believe her?
Bobby and the Dinosaurs is a story about Bernice’s friend Bobby and what he decides to do on a rainy day. Bobby wakes up and has his day all planned until he looks out the window and sees the pouring rain. Bobby’s world has ended, and he has no idea what he can do now. His mom suggests a science project, but Bobby says he doesn’t like science anymore, so he decides to build a time machine and return to visit the dinosaurs. He heads off to his room to see what he needs for the machine.
Red and the gang are finally looking at the Dr. Hart mystery. Alexa has scanned the journal pages for each of them, and they spend time looking at the pages and trying to figure out what Dr. Hart might have been trying to tell them. Red continues to search after they hang up, and what she finds leads to bad dreams.
Libby is tired and does not feel much like getting up. She was awake late studying and reading a new book. Margherita's head-butts her to get her moving just before her mom starts calling her for breakfast. It is Halloween, and Libby's mom has the day off, so she decorates the house for the trick-or-treaters. Libby said she was not going out, so her mom asked her to get dressed and help her pass out candy. When Libby gets home from school, she is amazed at all the decorations her mom has put up, but Margherita does not feel the same way.
It was going to be a spooky day at school, and Bernice was super excited. The kids were dressing up and having a party. Bernice finishes her costume and takes a picture with Cookie to show her friends. When she gets ready for bed, she asks Papa Bear to tell her a spooky story but to make sure it is not too spooky as it is time for her to go to sleep, and she is tired. Papa Bear says okay and starts his story.
Ghostie is a little ghost trying to get ready for Halloween with his classmates at Creakmore Academy. They are all working on the art of spooking as Halloween is just around the corner. Ghostie’s friends all seem to be doing a great job, but Ghostie is having some trouble. Will he ever be ready for Halloween?
Red cannot believe the things she has found in the box. The more she thinks about it, the more she is sure there is more to this than they can see. When she arrives with the box at lunchtime, she tells the gang she thinks they are missing something. Alexa scans Dr. Hart’s journal, and they all have a look to see what they could be missing.
Jake is so tired. He is busy swimming and is having a hard time sleeping because he would rather watch his favourite show. When Jake wakes up during the night, he sees shadows on the wall and hears strange noises, 2 a.m. What is going on? He gets back to sleep, but on the third night of hearing the sounds and seeing the shadows, he has a plan. He is going to sneak out of the house and get proof. Jake will finally prove to his family that his neighbours are vampires.
It is that time of year, and Bernice cannot wait to get ready for Halloween. Papa Bear and Bernice always make her costume together and have already discussed some ideas. There is a big Halloween party at school, and Bernice wants to have a great costume. She tells Papa Bear that Bobby and Gertrude are going to be buying their costumes this year and asks if she can do the same.
Everett enjoys school but isn’t enjoying the extra responsibility that Grade 4 brings. When he learns that he has homework to do over the weekend, he cannot believe it. Ev, as he is usually called, can’t get his work done fast enjough and when he finds a shortcut, realizes how lucky he is until he gets to school on Monday and hears the other students talking about their homework and he realizes maybe he shouldn’t have taken the shortcut.
The Princess of Prince Street Helps Jiggles is another adventure with Princess. Princess has not been out that much recently, as her owners have taken much time off during the summer. Now that they are back at work, she looks forward to getting out and seeing her friends and the neighbourhood. Princess waits until she is sure her owners are not returning, then explores. This time, she heads in another direction and goes to Prince Street School to see what is happening.
Red cannot believe her eyes. There is no way the charm on this necklace could be a homing beacon. How could it have gotten here? And these pictures? When her mom comes in and sees the picture and the chain, she turns very pale, and Red knows that she is about to find out more than she had counted on.
Red and the other girls have solved the playground mystery and think Mr. McCaskill probably arranged the whole thing to get them to give credit to the custodian, Mr. LeClair. Once Red is home, she eats dinner and talks about her day before heading to her room to relax and read some University-level science books. Red remembers that she needs to take Dr. Hart’s box back to school the next day, so she gets it out from under her bed. Seeing the box again brings back the uneasy feeling that she thinks there is more here than she can see.
Timmy's still got a big adventure ahead: he's racing to the library! With his trusty pony, Tinkle, and a bag of snacks from kind Miss Elara, they race towards BarleyBrook. The journey's much longer than he thought. Will they make it to the library before the sun sets?
It is getting colder outside, and practices have started. Bernice gets home from hockey and wants to surprise Papa Bear, but Cookie breaks her concentration. After talking to Papa and having some hot cocoa, Bernice gets ready to go to Gertrude’s house for tea. They chat, eat, and spend a great afternoon together when she arrives.
Red and the girls hide by the big tree and get tired of waiting when they see movement. They squint through the dim light and try to discover who it is. They cannot see clearly and decide to get closer when they notice something familiar about the figure's movements. Alexa thinks she knows who it is, and they move even closer when Red lets out a big sneeze and someone calls out to them.
Timmy's passion is reading, and he's on a quest for more books. When Grandfather can't take him to the Barleybrook library, Timmy's unexpected encounter with Tinkle inspires a daring circus plan. Will Tinkle help him reach his book-filled dream?
Alex lives in an old house just outside Montague, Prince Edward Island, and he feels his house is too far away. He remembers all his friends playing in the backyard and running through the woods with him, but they’re not here right now. Alex’s mom tells him to go out and explore, and just before he heads back in for dinner, he sees a flash of colour out of the corner of his eye.
Blue is at it again, and Red wonders what is happening with him. When Red goes down for breakfast, she asks her mom if she can stay after school to work on the mystery Mr. McCaskill gave them, and her mom says yes, but be home for dinner. When Red arrives at school, she finds out Charlie is home sick, but there is no time to daydream as she has back-to-back English classes. Kirt interviews some of the kids about what they saw and heard on the playground and the other girls get ready for the stakeout.
Timmy is a young boy who lives with his Grandpa and loves to read. He has some books in his house but has read them all before. He loves going to the grocery store to read while his grandpa shops. One day, his Grandpa takes him to see the ponies that will be in the circus, and Timmy gets to ride Tinkle. He had a wonderful time and can’t wait to ride again, but Timmy, more than anything, wants to go to the library, but his Grandpa has no time to take him. How can he get there?

I love Bernice makes dumplings out of all the Bernice stories. Also, the stories are very interesting and make me go to bed very easily, I also recommend them to people who can't fall asleep. Best stories ever created. Also love the person who says the story because of their calming voice, soothing voice, and their softness of their voice.
