Description

Sword and Scale is a true crime podcast covering the dark underworld of crime and the criminal justice system’s response to it. The first episode launched January 1st, 2014 and feature stories of murder, abduction, rape, and even more bizarre forms of crime. It’s the purest form of true-crime where the raw uncensored audio tells the story. Everything from 911 calls to court testimony, interviews with victims and sometimes with perpetrators give listeners a 360 degree look at the seedy underbelly of human nature and so-called civilized society. Told from an everyman's point of view, Sword and Scale goes beyond the news clips and the sensationalist headlines to hold up a mirror to the audience and ask, "Is it us versus them? Or are we just like 'them' too?" Sword and scale proves that the worst monsters are real.

The victim impact statements are laughable at best, no accountability the part of the people who were enabled by a justice system to threaten sexual assault on a child… ( that’s super cringey) , consistently engaged in antagonism and harassment towards a combat veteran REGARDLESS of what the prosecutors definition of “actual combat” is, not to mention thieving , and negligent parenting … what a joke . Two life terms ? Pfffft. That’s not justice.

The minute that cop started in about what constitutes “battle” and “warfare” Billy needed to stop talking . He really shouldn’t have been talking at all . And why didn’t his representation end that line of questioning or AT LEAST bring in an ACTUAL DI ? 🥴 the justice system is nothing more than a spoiled kids reality show trying to get people to buy into some circular logic that amounts to BS.

Since it’s being stated that this was intentional , I’m wondering how she managed to crash a car at 100mph and still survive … how was THAT planned ? Or was she TRYING to kill herself too ? She’s obviously spoiled, never faced ANY consequences ( until it was too late ) , and her mother definitely comes across as someone not interested in parenting until it gets her social media attention , but a 3-4 year relationship described as toxic and she was allowed to live with him by HIS mom ? :/

Clearly he’s guilty . Still wondering who else was involved , and got away with participating … is there some reasonable explanation everyone was satisfied with NOT knowing whose DNA was found under nails ?

The way that the “mother” mimicked the boys dying moans , and then leaving her own kid to fight off a “knife wielding maniac” while she ran to the neighbors ? People in 2018 palm beach money neighborhoods don’t have cell phones ?? And if this weirdo kid had already been investigated by the fbi for his death threats on the internet … AT THE SCHOOL , so I’m sure Kyle knew there was something off - how tf did this out of touch “mother” even allow this kid in her home .
