Dani Mo recently set the world record for the highest elevation women’s pro wrestling match after journeying to Nepal to wrestle on Kala Patthar in the Mt Everest region. Dani wrestled Nepal’s first-ever women’s professional wrestler, Baghawait Unika at 5,600 meters in a homemade wrestling ring carried up the mountain on a helicopter! That’s roughly 18,300 feet or 3.4 miles ABOVE sea level! It’s higher than Mt. Everest base camp which is why they chose that location. Dani details the entire story from her initial invitation from Unika to her 22-hour journey to Kathmandu, Nepal to her harrowing flights in and out of the world’s most dangerous airport in the mountain town of Lukla! She explains what it was like to wrestle on uneven, rocky ground with very little oxygen, how she overcame the language barrier with her opponent, and the unbelievable reason why she had to overdub her promo once she got back to the States. Happy Canada Day, eh? And there’s no better way to celebrate than with a Winnipeggers reunion with a bonus Clifford! watchalong! We’re not talking about the big red dog though! We’re talking about the 10-year-old boy played by fellow Canadian legend, Martin Short! It’s a movie beloved by everyone from David Letterman to Nicholas Cage to… the Winnipeggers (at least one of them, but you’ll have to listen to find out which one). And of course, in true TIJ watchalong and Winnipeggers style, there’s plenty of casting and acting discussion, behind-the-scenes stories from the set, completely useless trivia, and a plethora (good word, eh?) of tangential (another good word, eh?) anecdotes and references like perms, Fargo, bow ties, birthdays, cameo, post-pimple days, milk, mullets, and first-times. And… take a drink for every obscure reference (but please don’t drive, eh?)! Thanks for supporting our sponsors! Got excited when I saw title/subject. Excitement faded when realized it's a chat WITH Billy instead of ABOUT Billy. Meaning he has full reign to give his side with zero rebuttal. I've followed his story since before King Of Kong was released, & there's so many twists & curios in that story that having only one biased guest to discuss it is a disservice to the story, regardless of if bias is for or against Mr. Mitchell.
