Urs Fischer is a contemporary artist renowned for his experimental and highly unpredictable practice of sculpture, installation, painting, and photography. He often uses unconventional materials, such as wax, bread, and everyday objects, which he employs to explore themes of transformation, impermanence, and creative destruction, allowing his works to transform or decay over time. Fischer’s work, influenced by movements like Surrealism and Pop Art, is marked by a dynamic interplay between construction and deconstruction, permanence and ephemerality, inviting audiences to reconsider the boundaries of art and the fleeting nature of existence. Fischer has held major solo exhibitions at institutions such as Kunsthaus Zürich, the New Museum in New York, Palazzo Grassi in Venice, MOCA in Los Angeles, and galleries including Sadie Coles HQ in London and Gagosian locations worldwide—most recently at Gagosian Gstaad in Switzerland.

phenomenal interview. thank you
loved the documentary, but this interview put so much colour on the background of the making of it. Great job.
1:32:56 "How do you learn your craft?"
The ads on these are insufferable, as are some of the guests. Rick is truly living in a fantasy land of privilege- as much creativity as he has facilitated its quite a put off to hear sone if the nonsense he gives airtime to. Pharrell interview was good
Daron was my hero growing up but man the guy has such an ego.
the best
RFK, Jr. is a dangerous crackpot who's done so much harm through the anti-vaxx movement. It's really disappointing to see him get air time here. Unsubscribing...
I paused the podcast at the shaker story and listened to Damn the Torpedos with fresh ears. Shaker everywhere!
I like that Owen made a passing reference to stickers on water bottles, because mine has a Dignan sticker.
very interesting - Hickey's podcast is a marvel.
This interview was one of the best! It was great to learn how John makes music. The creative process is amazing!
