Fund conversations that matter: donate.accessmore.comMental health is the same as physical health – a bodily experience. That being said, we experience mental illness differently than physical illness because when it comes to our mental health, it challenges our identity. It’s healthy to have emotions and feel them because they’re part of our bodily experience. But how do we respond to them? How do we navigate them? How do we care for our minds well?  Today, Candace is joined by Dr. Anita Phillips to talk about mental health, and while this is a topic that many are afraid to talk about … it is a needed + valuable conversation.   Did you know that mental health and faith go hand in hand? We are wrapping up season 4 with one final conversation between Candace + Bianca – and it’s all about why our decisions matter, how trials, tribulations, and trauma are *sometimes* gifts, and whether or not there is a time we should (or need to) quit.  Have you ever been in a season where you know without a doubt that you need to quit? Need to walk away? Need to let go? Those moments will come. While the encouragement this season has been to keep going, not give up, and grow your grit … there are times when we need to be wise and walk away.  But how do you navigate that? Bianca breaks down questions you should ask yourself BEFORE you quit, and the value of inviting wise counsel into your final decision.  In this episode, you will hear Candace and Bianca discuss:  Challenges in their lives that they now consider a gift looking back  What James 1 teaches us about “getting over what we are under” Whether there are times we should quit  Connect with Candace and Bianca:  Candace on Instagram @candacecbure  Candace on TikTok @candacecameronb Follow the Podcast on Instagram @candacecameronburepodcast  Follow the Podcast on TikTok @ccbpodcast Bianca on Instagram @biancaolthoff Bianca’s book Grit Don’t Quit For all things mentioned in this episode head over to ccbpodcast.com Thank you to this season's sponsors:  AccessMore The Chosen Holy Night in Theaters December 12-17
Do you recognize the voice and the presence of Jesus in your life? Do you connect with Him in the mundane moments of your day?  Candace is joined by Aarti Sequiera in today’s conversation to talk about her journey from being born in India, raised in Dubai, and moving to the USA. But more so, she shares her beautiful testimony of coming into a relationship with Jesus.  “You can tell someone’s faith by what they ate.” At least in India + Dubai! Being raised around different religions, Aarti’s faith has evolved over the years – she once viewed God as a statue on the wall and a far-off father figure. Now, she understands and walks in a loving, grace-filled relationship with Him.  Aarti is a former journalist turned movie co-producer (alongside George Clooney … what?!), and is now the author of 2 incredible cookbooks. Her story is powerful! And her hope is to encourage you to embrace your testimony – no matter how small it may seem to you, it is significant.  Connect with Candace and Aarti:  Candace on Instagram @candacecbure  Candace on TikTok @candacecameronb Follow the Podcast on Instagram @candacecameronburepodcast  Follow the Podcast on TikTok @ccbpodcast Aarti on Instagram @aartipaartipics Aarti’s Website For all things mentioned in this episode head over to ccbpodcast.com Thank you to this season's sponsors:  Great American Family

Before your time on earth comes to an end, where is one place you want to go?  We all have places we want to visit and see. But have you thought about your legacy? Because the truth is, we will leave a legacy, and it’s up to us what impact it has on those around us.  Legacy is typically equated with wealth – but it is SO much more than that. It is about what we are giving to the next generation. Your legacy will impact those you know and those you don't.  In light of the topic this season (Grit Don’t Quit), we want to encourage you with this: you are too young to quit and too old to give up. It’s all worth it.  What is the legacy you want to leave?   In this episode, you will hear Candace and Bianca discuss:  Why legacy is so much more than wealth  What we can learn from Paul’s legacy  How legacy is linked to mentorship  Connect with Candace and Bianca:  Candace on Instagram @candacecbure  Candace on TikTok @candacecameronb Follow the Podcast on Instagram @candacecameronburepodcast  Follow the Podcast on TikTok @ccbpodcast Bianca on Instagram @biancaolthoff Bianca’s book Grit Don’t Quit For all things mentioned in this episode head over to ccbpodcast.com Thank you to this season's sponsors:  The Chosen Holy Night in Theaters December 12-17

It’s not enjoyable to be patient, but it is valuable to wait well. What do you do while you wait?  We are continuing the conversation on Malta (if you’re confused, go back and listen to Episode 09 first!). Candace and Bianca are diving into waiting seasons and hope to offer practical steps you can take in the seasons of waiting you experience in life. There are 4 things you can do that have been proven scientifically and biblically to support your mind, body, and soul while you are in the waiting.  If you are in a season of waiting, keep waiting because there is a breakthrough coming.  In this episode, you will hear Candace and Bianca discuss:  What working with incarcerated women has taught Bianca about patience and resilience  4 things you should do in waiting seasons (that is proven scientifically + biblically)  How they take care of their mind, soul, and body in waiting seasons  Connect with Candace and Bianca:  Candace on Instagram @candacecbure  Candace on TikTok @candacecameronb Follow the Podcast on Instagram @candacecameronburepodcast  Follow the Podcast on TikTok @ccbpodcast Bianca on Instagram @biancaolthoff Bianca’s book Grit Don’t Quit For all things mentioned in this episode head over to ccbpodcast.com Thank you to this season's sponsors:  National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is November 13-20. Life happens – it’s a roller coaster, and you will get to a point where you are tired and don’t want to keep fighting. Whether it is because of a painful situation, a season of waiting, or when the going gets really tough. That is when the “big D’s" of life can set in – Depression. Despair. Disillusionment. Disappointment. What do we do when that happens?  Seek purpose from your pain. As we look at the life of Paul, we see a story in Acts that shows us how to live within our pain. God has promises for our life, but when they don’t look the way we thought they would, how will we respond? Do we focus on the why or fix our eyes on the Who?  Faith is proven IN the fire. If you are walking through the fire right now, be encouraged. The dawn is coming.  In this episode, you will hear Candace and Bianca discuss:  Being ok with sitting in the tension of feeling pain  Focusing on the who, not the why during hard seasons  How hard seasons will prove our faith in God  Connect with Candace and Bianca:  Candace on Instagram @candacecbure  Candace on TikTok @candacecameronb Follow the Podcast on Instagram @candacecameronburepodcast  Follow the Podcast on TikTok @ccbpodcast Bianca on Instagram @biancaolthoff Bianca’s book Grit Don’t Quit For all things mentioned in this episode head over to ccbpodcast.com Thank you to this season's sponsors:  National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child is November 13-20.
