"A new survey, released Wednesday by The Washington Post/Schar School, found Miyares and Jones in lockstep with roughly 46 percent support each among likely voters. California entered the union in 1850 as a free state—yet black Californians are about to cash out big on reparations, thanks to Gov. Gavin Newsom.

“ The black population of California is about 5.4% of the 41 million people. Who are going to be paying the reparations? The so-called white oppressor, victimizer class is only 42%. It is a minority.
“ Who is black in a multiracial, intermarried culture? Are we going to go back to the Elizabeth Warren rule? Do we need DNA badges? Are we gonna use the old Confederate measure of one-sixteenth? 16% to 17% of the California population identify as multiracial. How do we know who is white, who is Hispanic, who is black? It's very hard to adjudicate that.”

Former Congressman from Virginia’s 5th District Denver Riggleman took great pride in announcing that the January 6 Commission had asked him to take on the role of senior technical advisor. It only took about 24 hours after Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attack on Israel for cries of “free Palestine” to fill city streets as protesters waved the Palestinian flag. However, following the ceasefire and hostage deal which the Trump administration led the way in negotiating, those same protesters are noticeably quiet.
The absence of great celebration on the part of the “free Palestine” protesters confirms what many already knew - the pro-Palestine movement has always been more deeply rooted in a hatred of Israel than a love for the people of Gaza.
Now more than ever, the “Free Palestine” chanters should be taking to the streets to demand Hamas be completely eliminated as the terrorist group carries out public executions of local citizens in Gaza following the partial withdrawal of the Israeli military.

There’s no end in sight for the current government shutdown, which entered its third week on Wednesday. While Democrats are clinging to their $1.5 trillion demands—and Republicans, for once, are refusing to capitulate—there has been a palpable shift in the government shutdown state of play. This week, Rep. Mike Haridopolos, R-Fla., joins “The Signal Sitdown” to discuss the evolving dynamics of shutdown politics.
“Historically it should be a surprise,” that Democrats have opted to shut down the government, Haridopolos told The Daily Signal. “The Democrats historically have always got along with a clean [continuing resolution],” he added. That’s especially the case in recent history, as Democrats have voted upwards of a dozen times for a nearly identical continuing resolution that kept the government open and running on spending levels set during former President Joe Biden’s administration.
To add insult to injury, the continuing resolution that would last through Nov. 21 was negotiated by Republican and Democrat appropriators. “We negotiated this ahead of time,” Haridopolos told The Daily Signal. “[House Appropriations Chairman] Tom Cole sat down, of course, with the House appropriators and Democrat appropriators, and said, ‘We're going to have a clean [continuing resolution], what else do you need? We want to do it till January.”
Democrats, however, wanted the continuing resolution to expire in November. “We acquiesced and said, ‘Okay, fine, November 21,’” Haridopolos continued. “We negotiated. So this drama about ‘They never had a seat at the table’ is wrong.”

California’s Prop 50 could completely erase Republican representation in elections.
The measure would hand Gov. Gavin Newsom’s administration the power to redraw California’s congressional districts. Supporters say the measure simply mirrors what Texas has done to strengthen Republican representation, but Hanson argues this is a blatantly partisan effort to cement Democrat control and eliminate what little Republican representation remains in California. He breaks it down on today’s episode of “Victor Davis Hanson: In a Few Words.”
“Gavin Newsom, moreover, when he's been asked about that, he says that he wants to punch these people. I guess he was referring to Republicans in general or the Texas Republicans in particular. He wants to ‘punch them in the mouth.’ He said he wants to punch Donald Trump in the mouth. The rhetoric is heating up but will Proposition 50 pass in a state that is 60%, in most elections, voting toward the Left or for Democrats? It probably will. And we in California who are on the conservative side will go from 17% representation—not 40%, of which reflects our actual numbers, but 17%—now to about 9% after Proposition 50 passes.”

President Donald Trump is forcing the Democrats to face something they’re not used to: accountability.
We’re seeing this play out with his indictment of Letitia James, the attorney general for the state of New York, who made being a Trump adversary a core part of her political brand. Now, she faces charges related to her Maryland property declarations, including discrepancies on federal forms and taxes. We all knew that those charges that these four prosecutors filed, A, would've never been filed had Donald Trump said he was not going to run again. B, they will never be filed against any other politician, no doubt. And C, if Donald Trump just said that he was going to run, but he decided he was a RINO or he was left-wing and he agreed with Letitia James' political views, he probably would've got off. He would never have been indicted. And you can diddle the same attitude from Judge Engoron. So, do you just let that all slide or do you look at what Letitia James has allegedly done? It's just simply a question.”

It has been a tumultuous week in Virginia’s Statewide races. The fallout from the Jay Jones text messages continues to reverberate across the nation now and in the midst of that? The one and only debate between Gubernatorial candidates, Republican Winsome Earle-Sears and Democrat Abigail Spanberger.
Spanberger had turned down a CNN-hosted debate saying she wanted “local news media” to moderate the debate. She may rue that decision because after a contetiuous first half of the debate in which the Lieutenant Governor would frequently interrupt filibuster-like answers asking if Spanberger was going to answer the actual question, the moderators began to pick up on that which led to what I think is the “McAuliffe Moment” of the debate You’ll hear it in the beginning of this podcast, and I think you will find it interesting that it was prompted by the same tactic Glenn Youngkin used to get Terry to admit what he really thought.
After the debate a Poll was conducted by the Trafalgar Group that shows that incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares is ahead of Jones 48.9%-43.1% and has the two top races ‘statistically tied’ (within the margin of error). Spanberger’s 12-point lead is now 2.6% with 5.6% still undecided and Delegate Ghazala Hashmi is only ahead of John Reid 46.8% to 45.9%.
We caught up with the former Ronald Reagan and George Allen aide on the way to a morning campaign stop to talk about these events.
