Gaza will never become an independent nation, Israel Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter says.   “There's not going to be an independent sovereign state other than Israel west of the Jordan River,” Leiter told The Daily Signal.   “There could be all sorts of autonomous arrangements,” he said, “but there's not going to be an independent sovereign Palestinian state west of the Jordan River. It's just not going to be.”   The nation of Israel extends from the Joran River west to the Mediterranean Sea to form the narrow country that is roughly the size of New Jersey. Since Hamas launched its attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, pro-Palestine protesters in America and round the world have chanted, “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” referring to Palestine fully occupying the land between the Joran River and the Mediteranea Sea, in turn eliminating the nation of Israel.   Following Oct. 7, there is a “complete absence of bandwidth” in Israel for the creation of a Palestinian state next to Israel. Iran Thinks They Can Outlast Trump. Can They?    President Donald Trump embarked on his first major foreign trip to the Middle East this week, making stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.    The goal? Replacing “strife” with “money,” bring Iran into the fold, and drop hostilities towards Israel. An ambitious agenda, maybe too ambitious, argues Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words:” “And the subtext of all of these meetings were: We're going to replace strife with money. We're all gonna be profitable. And we have to bring the cause of all of this trouble, Iran, into the fold of the Middle East and drop the hostility to Israel. Notice, of course, that he didn't go to Israel, although he was trying to elicit support for the continuation of the Abraham Accords with Saudi Arabia and Qatar.   “This is very ambitious but it's also very dangerous. Last week, Germany’s domestic intelligence agency classified the Alternative for Deutschland (AfD), which came in second in the recent federal elections, as a far-right “extremist organization.” Today, the agency lowered AfD’s designation, still allowing surveillance, but under “stricter judicial oversight”, according to Politico.    In less than a decade, Germany went from being the “Powerhouse of Europe” to embracing an all-out strategy of “national suicide.” How and more importantly, why did this happen, asks Victor Davis Hanson on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words?”   “Twenty years ago German physicists were the top in the world—nuclear physicists. They would start investing again in nuclear power. They would start up natural gas generation. Wind and solar would be integral, but a small part, because they would need reliable, cheap energy to compete on the world market. They would join the United States and look at China and say, "This is intolerable, this system of mercantilism." They would close their borders. They would go to an assimilationist model and require immigrants that came legally to fully become Germans. They would do all of that. But instead, when one party is advocating much of what I just talked about, they demonize it because it's out of the norm. Mainstream media would have you believe that Trump’s first 100 days were a failure—despite securing the border and strong economic gains. Victor Davis Hanson breaks down the polling regarding Donald Trump’s early 2025 presidency on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words,” and asks the question: Were pollsters reflecting public opinion, or manipulating it? “There were analyses after each of the 2016, the 2020, and the 2024 elections about the accuracy of polls, post facto, of the election. And we learned that they were way off in 2016. They said they had learned their lessons.  “They were way off in 2020. They said they learned their lesson. And they were way off in 2024. And why are they way off? Because liberal pollsters—and that's the majority of people who do these surveys—believe that if they create artificial leads for their Democratic candidates, it creates greater fundraising and momentum.   “ If you look at the polls that were the most accurate—Mark Penn was very accurate. He's a Democratic pollster. After 100 days in office, how popular is President Donald Trump?   “47% of likely U.S. voters either strongly or somewhat approve of President Trump,” according to a poll conducted by Rassmussen Reports last month.    The biggest surprise?
