I love this. I've been with my high school sweetheart since 1998. When we very first started dating, we were 14 and 15, and we eat down and had a very long discussion about what we wanted and expected out of ourselves, each other, and or relationship. We talked about our opinions on everything from sex to having children to religion to money to politics and everything in between. We laid out what differences were acceptable to us and what wouldn't be (thankfully we were on the same page about 90%+ and the other stuff wasn't a big deal to us). We agreed to make breaking up (or divorce, depending on where we were on our relationship) the last resort unless abuse came in to play (I grew up with an abusive dad and hated what it did to their relationship). I really feel that that discussion set a strong foundation for us! We also have private discussions about situations when couples around us are struggling, and discuss what we would do/think/feel in that situation, and we learn from it. T

I Love this Podcast! I feel like Jessi really delves into issues around food habits, body confidence and self esteem and she gets what I am struggling with.
