When a friend gets pregnant, we’re expected to be nothing but happy for them. And while we are happy, what’s rarely acknowledged is the grief that bubbles underneath: the fear of being left behind, the pain of losing the friendship as it once was, and the silence childfree women carry as we quietly mourn what we didn’t choose to lose. In this episode, I name that truth out loud: it’s okay to feel sadness, anger, and even resentment alongside joy. It doesn’t make you a bad friend. It makes you human.Together, we’ll unpack why pregnancy is one of the few life changes where our grief isn’t validated, and I’ll walk you through what to do with those feelings: from naming your grief, to redefining (or releasing) friendships, to building communities and milestones of your own. If you’ve ever felt invisible as your closest friends step into motherhood while you remain childfree, this episode will remind you that you are not the last one left behind. You are a pioneer carving out a powerful new way of living and connecting, and your life deserves to be celebrated just as much.

In this episode, we sit down with Nathalie Huerta, founder of The Queer Gym—the first first nationally recognized LGBTQ-friendly fitness haven in Oakland, CA, built to heal what traditional gyms broke. For years, I’ve had fun, sometimes wild but mostly unremarkable, one-night stands—from the pedicab driver who left a bike in my bedroom to the man in Hawaii who accidentally threw away my contacts. My trip to Mallorca, Spain this summer was incredible for so many reasons: from the people I met to the man who unlocked something in me and ended my sad girl era. I am ready for vulnerability, raising my standards, ending my sad girl era, and stepping into life that matches the joy and strength I’ve cultivated. Here's to leaving behind the wrong city and people and the letting in the right people in the right place. What if rest isn’t a break from your purpose, but a return to it? Slowing down doesn’t mean you're doing nothing—it means you're growing in less visible but deeply impactful ways. Slowing down gives you access to new ideas, deeper alignment, and truer desires. Sometimes the next big thing can only emerge when you're not trying to force it. Otherwise, it's the hustle moving you forward, not the heart, not the purpose. In this final episode of Season 3—and my 200th—I’m talking about something that’s been hard but necessary: slowing down. Not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, creatively. If you’ve ever felt like your worth is tied to what you produce, this is for you. I share how I’ve been shedding the pressure to constantly build, choosing rest over burnout, and stepping back from roles that drain me—like always being the “fixer” or the go-to emotional support. This isn’t about quitting. It’s about redefining growth, reclaiming energy, and trusting that the next big thing doesn’t come from force—it comes from space. Season 4 launches in September, but until then, this episode is a reflection, a boundary, and a reminder to reclaim whatever part of you has been waiting to breathe.Connect in the network:https://www.theangelagentile.com/scfnetwork

Today’s guest brings a story many will recognize all too well: the slow unraveling in a toxic job and the brave decision to walk away. Valerie “Val” Kleinhans, a Pittsburgh native now living in Minnesota, made her name in radio before choosing to leave the industry in 2018. But the mic wasn’t done with her yet. During the pandemic, Val reignited her love of broadcasting through podcasting, launching Vigorously with Val, where she explores life with effort, energy, and enthusiasm. In this episode, Val and I talk candidly about the signs it's time to go, the fear of leaving something familiar, and the power of choosing yourself—and your passion.Follow Val:https://www.instagram.com/valkleinhans/https://www.instagram.com/vigorouslypod/https://valkleinhans.com/val.kleinhans@gmail.comJoin the SINK community:https://www.theangelagentile.com/scfnetwork

Not every space is going to be a win and a place where you can thrive. So, you gotta ask some powerful questions. Before going to parties, events and accepting invitations it is important to ask: Who's All Gonna Be There. In all honesty, I considered calling this episode: The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation with at a Party (you know I love some SNL) because that was the catalyst for my storming out of a party, but it was bigger than just a tragic conversation with a tragic women. It was important to back up and ask better questions as to why I was in that situation in the first place.

Oh, so you got a partner and abandoned your friends and community? A true love story insert eye roll We’ve been taught to shrink our lives for a +1, like partnership is the ultimate achievement. But what if the real goal isn’t disappearing into love, but expanding into connection with community? In this episode, we’re unpacking the limitations of romantic partnership and the cultural lie that it’s the ultimate life goal: especially for women. Too often, people vanish into relationships, abandoning their friendships and communities like everything before their partner was just filler. I challenge the idea that love is linear or hierarchical, and ask why society treats romantic love as the only “real” love worth prioritizing. What happens when you treat community as sacred, not secondary? Why do we stop showing up for our people the moment we’re “chosen”? I explore the emotional cost of disappearing into a relationship and how to build a life that honors all the love you hold. Because connection shouldn’t shrink when romance enters: it should multiply. Let’s redefine what a full, connected life actually looks like.Join the Single, Child Free Network HERE:https://www.theangelagentile.com/scfnetwork

Let’s talk about white women (the moms especially), their unchecked privilege, and the entitlement that allows them to throw public tantrums—especially when it comes to internet bullying. After experiencing an online attack from a group of mom bullies who weaponized their platform to spread misinformation and trash my work, I started digging deeper into the broader issue: why are white women’s meltdowns always met with sympathy? This episode dives into the historical and systemic roots of this dynamic, from the Karens of today to the deeply ingrained societal structures that allow white women to claim victimhood while causing real harm. Their distress isn’t just personal—it has social and often violent consequences. But what if, instead of using their privilege to silence and attack, white women actually used their power to dismantle these systems? What if feminism wasn’t just about their experience, but about true equality for all?
