I'm happy that the liberal left doesn't want to have children because they see the world in a negative way. The overall statistic about birth rates below replacement rates is especially true amongst the secular community. Amongst those with strong religious views (regardless of beliefs) are having children above replacement rates. This means that over time, conservative religious people will be expanding in population while liberal left will be declining. This may be the one hope for America.
