Does it feel like the results and transformation you're wanting to create are taking too long? Are you growing impatient in getting to where you want to be? If this sounds like you it's becuase you're currently progressing through one of the four stages of belief. Whenever you're looking to create a new and exciting result, most people start with asking "What do I need to DO in order to create this result?". What you think about, you bring about, which is why this week's episode of the podcast is so important in diving deep into our beliefs. In this week's episode we will be talking about what a belief is, how they are formed, why they are important, why we always end up proving our beliefs true, and the four stages of belief you will always progress through when creating a new and exciting result. It's no secret that I am a huge fan on the money managagement software, YNAB (You Need A Budget). I've used the software for years and it has been the single most impactful tool in transforming my finances for the better. But it's so much more than just a budgeting software. YNAB is a money management method that is govered by 4 simple yet impactful rules to guide the decisions you make with money. I couldn't be more excited this week to dive into all things YNAB with none other than YNAB's personal finance educator, Ashley Lapato. Ashley spent years believing that she was just “bad with money” before finding YNAB, and she is now on a mission to teach others that money management is a skill - one that is never too late to learn. Ashley has earned a reputation on TikTok @TheOrganizedWallet for a refreshingly relatable approach to personal finance, which has helped hundreds of thousands learn to organize their finances and spend with confidence. In this episode together we break down what YNAB is, what makes it different from other money management systems, the 4 rules that govern the YNAB method, "little treat culture" that is taking over social media by storm, and we address the reservations you might have about trying YNAB to manage your money.   Where to find Ashley: TikTok: @theorganizedwallet   YNAB Resources: Start a free 30 day trial with YNAB (*note this is my YNAB affiliate link which will get you an additional free month if you end up subscribing after your 30-day free trial) Get the YNAB Book HERE Find the YNAB Impulse Spending Study HERE   START HERE: FREE MASTERCLASS: Why You Impulse Shop & How To Stop Get Paige’s Money Recommendations   Work with Paige: Join the Overcoming Overspending Membership HERE Use code MLP30 at checkout to save $30 off your first month inside the membership   Where you can find Paige online: Website: https://www.paigepritchard.com  IG: @overcoming_overspending TikTok: @overcoming_overspending Subscribe to Paige's YouTube Channel
Are you feeling? Or are you suffering? Most of us think that we are feeling our feelings, when in fact we are resisting our feelings which creates uncessary suffering for ourselves. When we lack the ability and the willingness to feel our emotions, we end up just creating more of it for ourselves. But what if your feelings weren't something to run away from, but rather something to run towards? What if they weren't an inconvenience, but rather a superpower? What if they weren't a hindrence, but rather the ticket to getting everything you've ever wanted? The harder we feel, the less we suffer.   In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast we are diving into one of my favorite topics, emotions. We're talking about the difference between feeling and suffering, why we create unnecessary suffering for ourselves, how to stop doing that, and how to shift our mindset around our emotions so that they are something that we begin to embrace rather than avoid. This will no doubt be an episode that will challenge you and have you thinking about your feelings in an entirely new light. Enjoy!   Questions from episode: Am I feeling or am I suffering? What emotion am I not feeling and what other emotions is that avoidance creating? How am I creating unnecessary suffering in my life right now? Do I want to sit with the truth of my life right now, or do I want to escape my life? What's the one emotion I most fear and how would my life look drastically different if I ran towards that emotion and created it on purpose?   START HERE: FREE MASTERCLASS: Why You Impulse Shop & How To Stop  Get Paige’s Money Recommendations    Work with Paige: Join the Overcoming Overspending Membership HERE Enter in code MLP30 at checkout to save $30 on your first month inside the membership   Where you can find Paige online: Website: https://www.paigepritchard.com  IG: @overcoming_overspending TikTok: @overcoming_overspending Subscribe to Paige's YouTube Channel

Do you struggle to make decisions? To you find yourself feeling confused a lot? If so, you could be commited to confusion. Many of us indulge and stay stuck in confusion, becuase confusion feels safer than forward progress. When we are confused we don't have to make hard decisions, we don't have to learn new things, we don't have to be a beginner, and we don't have to risk anything. While it seems noble and valid to be commited to confusion, it's not serving you in life or with your finances.  In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast we are breaking down the emotion of confusion. Paige will share with you why confusion is an indulgent emotion, why we become so commited to confusion, and her 5 best steps for getting yourself out of confusion for good. Do you struggle to do what you say you're going to do? Are you constantly making grand plans and setting ambitious goals only to then find yourself struggling to nail the day-to-day actions required to make those goals a reality? If this sounds like you, then I am excited to share with you one of my favorite tools for remaining in integrity with yourself, which is a letter from you... to you. This is a letter that is written from "pre-frontal" you to "lizard brain" you and it's one of the most effective tools I've found for keeping myself focused and on track toward accomplishing my truest desires.  By the end of this episode of The Money Love Podcast, you will have all the details you need to create a letter yourself. I'll be sharing what this tool is, when to use it, why it's so effective, what to include in your letter and I'll also be wrapping up the episode by reading an example of a letter (that you can borrow). What do bankruptcy, an eviction or foreclosure, financial abuse from a partner, large amounts of debt, large losses in the stock market, and food insecurity all have in common? They are all forms of financial trauma you may have experienced in your past or present. Financial trauma is the mental, emotional, relational or physical stympoms triggered by significant financial stressors and it's something that you may have experienced in the past, and are still carrying around with you today.  In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast I'm sitting down with Ali Kates, a  Certified Trauma Recovery Coach & Somatic Experience Practitioner (In-Training). Ali believes that trauma & emotional pain is not just about what happened to you, but how it left your nervous system after said event. She preaches that your trauma cannot be "out talked" or "out thought", becuase it lives in the BODY. Becuase of that Ali gives her clients the tools and teachings they need to move their trauma out of their body for good. Ali and I break down what trauma is, the different types of trauma, what happens when trauma goes unprocessed in your body (helllooo shame), the different types of trauma responses and how they manifest within your money management style, and the first step you can take to moving stored trauma out of your body. 106: Feeling Deprived

2023-05-2351:45

Do you do a lot of spending and buy a lot of things so that you won’t feel deprived? Many of us manage our money in a way and spend against our own good simply because we are resisting and avoiding the emotion of deprivation. We have been told by consumer culture that if we aren’t able to get what we want when we want it, that the dreaded emotion of deprivation will follow. But what if deprivation wasn’t something to be avoided, but rather welcomed in with open arms? What if there was a way to make disciplined choices that honor your deepest and truest desires, without feeling a trace of deprivation? If you’re curious about how to create that result, then this week’s podcast episode is for you.  In this week's episode of The Money Love Podcast, we are breaking down the emotion of deprivation. We are diving into what creates it (versus what we think creates it), how it impacts our spending habits, why it’s nothing to fear but rather embrace, and I’m giving you my best tips to squash any future deprivation you may feel. Deprivation no longer needs to be something that you fear and that drains your bank account, and after this episode, you will have the knowledge, coaching, and tools you need to ensure that doesn’t happen.
