We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia. It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda. Chris Johnston got the party started in hour two. He gave his thoughts on all that transpired since the last time he joined the show, touched on the signing of Jack Roslovic and where he could potentially slot in and gave his expectations for the Canucks on the upcoming season. Johnston finished with his thoughts on goaltending in Edmonton… It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day. We then hit MMMMMM That’s Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop in the middle of hour two. Jeff Hamilton capped off hour two with all the insight on all the major headlines from the CFL. He gave a preview to all the games in week 19, touched on the Elks big game this week as they welcome in the Blue Bombers and finished with his thoughts on the Jets for this years season.
We are back with another edition of The Nielson Show right here on Edmonton Sports Talk! Dusty is away for today’s show, so Dave Jamieson is stepping in for the big man. The fellas caught up, talked some puck and then Lt. Eric laid out the show. As always, we hit Morning Announcements from Rundle Park Short Course to recap all that transpired yesterday in the world of sport. After the break, some Oilers talk was had. Primarily regarding the goaltending and whether or not Skinner should start in game two against the Canucks. To finish off hour one it was time to Crack Some Packs presented by Wayne's Sports Cards & Collectables. Some beauty pulls from the boys today, it was all hockey.

Bruce Boudreau was the first guest on today’s show! He first touched on winning his first ever ESTY. Then it was all Oilers talk. Boudreau touched on everything from last night’s game including Skinner allowing the game tying goal, whether this team is better than last years and his thoughts on the Oilers signing Jack Roslovic. We start off with some quick thoughts after last night’s games then Dusty erupted! We then dove into Morning Announcements from Goat Track to recap all the action from yesterday in the world of sport! After the update, the boys got right into The Morning After Show presented by PROLUX to recap last night’s game. They gave their big moment and their 4th star and 38th stars from last nights game. We capped off hour one with Fired Up from Gemco Fireplaces! How can you not be fired up about them Toronto Blue Jays!

Because it is game day, we had to dive into the Orange & Blue Breakfast! In this segment the fellas gave their keys for tonight’s game. Lt. Eric then gave an injury update presented by Podium Physio Therapy for tonight’s game. Ryan Rishaug was the final guest on today’s show. He showed us his new backdrop before we got into the thick of it! Of course, we got his thoughts on the McDavid signing, he also touched on the Jake Walkman’s signing. One more signing to discuss as the Oilers did just sign Ekholm to three more years. He then finished with his expectations for the team on this 2025-26 season. It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for Lt. Eric’s Weekly Rankings of Power presented by The Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & CC. Today, LT ranked the top 10 reasons why McDavid signed for 12.5. Craig Button was the first guest on today’s show. We gave him all the questions and he had all the answers. He addressed the elephant in the room with his thoughts on the McDavid signing, was he surprised and what does this mean going forward. He then gave his thoughts on the Oilers for the upcoming season and finished with a preview on the Flames for the upcoming season as well.
