In this episode, I share my transformative experience at the start of the year, stepping away from traditional resolutions and diving deep into faith, fasting, and self-reflection.The Journey BeginsThis year, I took a different approach—participating in the Daniel Fast for 21 days through my home church, Calvary in Kendall, Florida. It wasn’t just about food; I also eliminated social media, dating apps, and other distractions to deepen my connection with God and focus on spiritual clarity. The Power of FastingI started with a four-day water and caffeine fast, followed by a seven-day water-only fast after my pastor encouraged the congregation to take on the challenge. The results were life-changing:Gained mental clarity and spiritual depth.Broke my dependency on caffeine without trying.Realized that habits, even seemingly harmless ones, can be addictions when unchecked.Key Lessons on FastingFasting is about more than just food—it's about discipline, focus, and faith. Some key takeaways:Set an objective – Pray strategically and define your fasting goals.Make a commitment – Choose what type of fast you’ll do and for how long.Prepare spiritually and physically – Repent, reset your mindset, and ease into fasting.Follow a schedule – Make time for prayer and scripture to strengthen your faith.End fasting properly – Gradually reintroduce food, starting with bone broth for healing benefits.Expect results – A deeper connection with God, clarity, and renewed energy. The Move Back to CharlestonI’ve recently relocated back to Charleston, South Carolina, to take over a business I helped build for 20 years. It wasn’t forced—it was God’s will, and everything fell into place. With my business in San Antonio running smoothly, I can now focus on restructuring and leading this company in Charleston.A Powerful Divine EncounterOn my road trip back, I had two pivotal experiences:Dallas, TX – Meetings with two Christian businessmen reaffirmed my path and reminded me to slow down.Atlanta, GA – A friend’s wife was struggling with severe health issues. God led me to stop, pray over her, and witness a profound moment of peace as her tremors calmed for the first time in a year. The Bigger MessageFaith and healing are real – I've seen incredible transformations through prayer and fasting. We attract what we project – Love, kindness, and gratitude bring positive energy into our lives.Simplicity leads to clarity – Life doesn’t have to be complicated. Prioritize faith, self-care, and meaningful connections.Closing ThoughtsAs we navigate the new year, consider:Are you sticking to your resolutions? What can you remove or sacrifice to gain more clarity and purpose? How can you strengthen your faith and relationships? If you're interested in the workbook I followed for my fast, email me at Todd@ToddTononi.com or message me on social.Thank you for tuning in—this episode marks 1 MILLION DOWNLOADS!
