In this episode, Lisa Gillbe personal stylist sits down with Chamiah Dewey, founder of Dewey, the extra petite clothing brand making waves, and Riccardo Sai, Head of Stories. ‘Petite’ is typically defined as 5ft 3" and under, but as Chamiah and Riccardo reveal, finding stylish, well-fitting clothes becomes even tougher if you’re 5ft or under. Most shops simply don’t cater for you—and shopping the kids’ section can feel demoralising and limiting.
Dewey is changing all that, with chic day-to-day pieces and an exciting launch of their new denim line—specifically tailored for the extra petite frame. Chamiah and Riccardo explain the creative journey behind the brand and their commitment to fit, empowerment, and style for an underserved demographic.
Hear the inside story on Dewey’s recent campaign with two high-profile guests: Paralympian Ellie Simmonds and Strictly Come Dancing pro Jowita, both under 5ft and passionate about redefining what women under average height can expect from fashion. Their stories of frustration—and Dewey’s mission—shine a spotlight on why representation matters in the petite fashion world.
Tune in to discover:
Why standard petite sizing rarely goes far enough
How Dewey’s designs help women feel confident and seen
More about the new denim launch and upcoming collection
The brand’s inspiring campaign and celebrity advocates
If you’re tired of squeezing into children’s clothing, yearning for grown-up style and fit, or just curious about the innovative world of petite fashion, this episode is a must-listen!

Welcome to this episode dedicated to style clarity for the new season! Today we’re exploring why knowing your style is the foundation for dressing with confidence, how to decode your style personality, and practical ways to prep your wardrobe for Autumn/Winter 2025.
Why Finding Your Style Matters
Building a wardrobe centered on your authentic style saves time, money, and stress—making daily dressing easier and more creative.
When you know your style personality, you’ll shop more intentionally and avoid chasing trends that don’t feel like “you”.
Style empowers you to express your identity, wants, and vibe—whether that means embracing bold colours, tailored pieces, or something unexpected.
Key Steps to Defining Your Personal Style
Audit your wardrobe and call out what you love: keep only pieces that make you feel great.
Create a moodboard or lookbook of outfit inspiration—notice patterns in colours, shapes, and brands you’re drawn to.
Ignore “rules”: Style is personal, so experiment until you discover what feels authentic.
Shop with intention; invest in versatile basics but layer in statement finds that feel uniquely right for your lifestyle.
Autumn/Winter 2025 Trends Breakdown
Chaotic layering is a top trend: Think mixed prints, clashing textures, and a playful “undone” vibe.
Tailoring & sleek shapes: Structured vests, wide-leg trousers, and midi skirts define this season’s everyday elegance.
Animal prints go beyond leopard—expect cowhide, Dalmatian, and faux fur details for statement coats and accessories.
Earthy tones take the lead—mocha, burgundy, suede, and even touches of red hot for striking accents.
Quiet luxury evolves into ‘maximalism’: bold colours, expressive patterns, and statement accessories help you make a style impact.
Key essentials: Wide leg trousers, knitwear, classic boots, tailored coats, versatile layering pieces.

Unwritten Style: How Street Influence Frees Us from Fashion Rules
with Dawn Pedersen, Co-Founder & Creative Director at Trendzine/TRENDZOOM
In this episode, I’m joined by Dawn Pedersen—trend forecaster, co-founder of Trendzine, and Creative Director at TRENDZOOM. Dawn’s expertise is in reading the cultural landscape: she draws inspiration from street style, mood, and the echoes of past trends to predict where fashion is heading next.
We dive into the powerful influence of what real people are wearing on the street and how this collective mood shapes not just trends, but how we all feel about getting dressed. As Dawn explains, street style has become a global language of self-expression, reflecting shifts in music, art, technology, and culture.
Fashion is no longer dictated by magazines or the runway alone—instead, inspiration is everywhere, and anyone can find their people and their style online.
We discuss the liberating shift away from being told what we “should” wear, and how digital communities give us the freedom to curate a wardrobe that feels authentic and personal. This episode is packed with insight on building a wardrobe that reflects who you are, not just what’s “in.”
We also go on a journey through fashion history, from Coco Chanel’s revolutionary impact in the 1920s—freeing women from restrictive clothing and championing comfort and self-expression—to the present day, where every era’s mood can be recognized in a single photograph.
We explore how fashion is always a product of its time and place, influenced by everything from film to politics to street culture.
Key Topics:
How street style predicts and reflects the collective mood
The end of being “slaves to trends” and the rise of authentic personal style
The digital revolution in finding style inspiration and community
Fashion as a mirror of cultural, social, and artistic movements
The ongoing legacy of icons like Coco Chanel in shaping how we dress today
Whether you’re a fashion stylist, a trend-watcher, or just want to feel more at home in your own wardrobe, this episode will help you see your clothes—and your influences—in a whole new light.

Today I was joined by Naomi and Sarah from Creative Works Collective to discuss personal branding, personal style and how they are deeply connected. To get a wardrobe that truly feels like you, it's important to know what that looks like! Not many people take the time to step back and really think about that and what that means.
Instead they get caught up in life and buy clothes randomly ending up with a wardrobe that makes no sense and doesn't feel good. The best style is YOUR style and if you can learn how to express that it is really powerful.
That's why I invited personal branding experts Naomi and Sarah to come on and have a discussion around this. We are all better when we have the confidence to be ourselves, to be true to our values and what is important to us.
The same is true in what we choose to wear. We are saying something with our clothes and often that is the first impression people get of us before we've even said a thing!
We discussed this and lots more including our mutual obsession with the brand ME&Em which has now gone over to America.
I hope you enjoy today's discussion; it makes you think differently about your style and wardrobe.

Lots of us now have to be on camera for work, in interviews, meetings, pitches or for business. Today I was joined by media training expert Roz Morris to chat about how you can look professional and have real presence online. This episode is for Mums on the run, working women, people with s**t to do who want to look nice but NEED to feel comfortable too. Most of us need a pretty casual wardrobe these days and comfort is KING.
No one wants to do the school run in heels but that doesn't mean we want to look scruffy and unkempt. There are really easy ways to elevate a casual wardrobe and that is the main topic of the show today.
I had this chat with Jo & Rachel from small UK independent brand ByElleven. They stock streetwear-inspired casual wear, design their own line of more elevated clothing and stock upscaled vintage too.
We discussed the benefits of tailoring in the wardrobe, why you get excellent tailoring in charity shops, why we'll never wear Crocs and what we love to wear on a night out. Enjoy the show!

Today I sat down with Keira from Scott-Samuel, a small accessories business here in the UK. We got festive and discussed our favourite party outfits, how it's great to still be casual but with a bit of sparkle, plus the hot trends of the season.
Last year we saw a lot of silver trousers around but this year there a few more trends out there. Not that you should dress 'trendy!' that's certainly not for everyone. We talked about how you can repurpose what you already own and what to wear if you don't really like dressing up at all.

Updating your wardrobe can be much more enjoyable and profitable for you if you do it with discounts. I recently discovered the Me and Em brand, and they have nice discounts, here you can find Me and em vouchers https://meandemclub.com/me-and-em-discount-code/ for this purpose and get to know the brand better. For me personally, it is very important to shop less often, but to choose really high-quality clothes for this
Your choice of work clothes depends solely on what kind of work specifics you have. It is much easier to choose an outfit for the office, but for production you will need a special work suit that will comply with all safety standards, I advise you to learn more about it here https://wearce.com/
