Season 15, Episode 129 of the Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Ross McCorkle sits in for Dave Bryan and joins me to share his thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 NFL Draft class. We discuss each of the team's seven selections and how they can improve the roster.
We discuss DL Derrick Harmon's Year One role, how EDGE Jack Sawyer fits into the Steelers' defense, and how seventh-rounders ILB Carson Bruener and CB Donte Kent can make the team. Our draft conversation also touches on the notable undrafted free agents Pittsburgh added and why their UDFA class was unusually strong.
Ross and I also briefly touch on the one roster move the Steelers made since our Wednesday show, releasing linebacker Thomas Rush.
We end the show by looking around the AFC North to evaluate the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Browns and offer a loose ranking of which classes were best and worst.
Mixed in-between draft talk is a discussion of the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 offensive line and how much confidence we have in LT Broderick Jones, entering a critical third year in the NFL.
This 77-minute episode also touches on several other minor topics not noted in the recap.

Season 13, Episode 138 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the latest to come out on the Pittsburgh Steelers when it comes to the team’s OTA practices these last few days.
We talk quite a bit about the rookie cornerbacks, Joey Porter Jr. and Cory Trice Jr., in addition to discussing things that veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson has said these last few days.
Steelers tackle Dan Moore Jr. is getting practice snaps on the right side in OTAs, so we discuss that bit of news. We also discuss what else is newsworthy concerning the Steelers now that their second week of OTA practices has concluded. We talk some about three position groups we feel the team could quite possibly address moving forward into the summer.
Might Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Isaiah Simmons be a plausible trade candidate for the Steelers? We discuss that topic quite thoroughly in this show as well.
In the middle of this show, Alex and I are joined by former Steelers longtime scout Mark Gorscak, who is now transitioning into other professional areas in his life. We have a great 40-minute interview with Gorscak that you won't want to miss. He answered quite a few questions from us concerning the inner workings of the scouting process and much more. Make sure you follow Mark on Twitter at @gors55, if not already doing so.
Later in the show, Alex and I answer a few questions we have received from listeners over the last several days. We mix in other Steelers talk throughout this episode that is not noted in this recap post.

May 15 – Ep. 55: On this episode of The Depot Dive, Joe Clark and Ross McCorkle kick things off by discussing the 2025 schedule release and how it's similar (and different) from last year's version. Are they set up for another December letdown? We give some of our way-too-early predictions to open up the show.
For the next topic, we talk about the George Pickens trade that happened last week and whether or not we like the trade value in return. We also talk about the current WR room and if we are buying what Omar Khan was selling about the 2025 situation being way different. How large of a role will Calvin Austin III play and could the Steelers look to extend him this offseason?
For the third topic, we push back on some comments made by Ryan Clark on ESPN about Mike Tomlin's message going stale and how he should leave the team.
To wrap things up we answer a listener question about the 12 draft picks the Steelers are projected to have.

Season 15, Episode 134 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Thursday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into recapping the Pittsburgh Steelers 2025 season schedule that was made official on Wednesday night. We go over the team's preseason schedule and then follow that up with a deep dive of their regular season schedule by game.
Alex and I go over the early string of quarterbacks the Steelers will face in their first five games and the defensive mindedness of each of those first five opponents as well. The Steelers will close their 2025 regular season with a tough stretch of six games, so we compare that final gauntlet to the one the team had in 2024.
Steelers team president Art Rooney II commented on the team's schedule after it was released on Wednesday, so we recap what all he had to say concerning that topic. We also discuss Rooney saying the team will have a new throwback jersey in 2025 in addition to a new helmet for at least one game.
After wrapping up some concluding thoughts on the Steelers' 2025 schedule, we talk briefly about what the team's travel schedule to Ireland in Week Four might look like. We also go over some early odds and spreads related to the Steelers 2025 schedule in this show. We also go over a few schedule reaction videos from around the NFL.
Alex and I recap some news from the AFC North that we have yet to cover. We also discuss if we think that Jon Gruden will return to the NFL as a head coach in 2026.
At the end of this show, Alex and I have a nice debate concerning Steelers QB Will Howard and where he should be considered a lock to make the 53-man roster later this summer.
This 86-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap as well. We end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners of the show.

Season 15, Episode 133 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the press conference that Pittsburgh Steelers GM Omar Khan had over the weekend that mostly revolved around the team's decision to trade WR George Pickens last week. We go over what Khan said about the wide receiver room moving forward and much more.
The Steelers were able to get six of their seven 2025 draft picks signed to rookie contracts over the weekend, so Alex and I recap those moves and the expected timeline to get DT Derrick Harmon, the team's first round selection this year, signed to his deal.
The Steelers reportedly agreed to sign RB Trey Sermon and OL Gareth Warren following both trying out during the team's rookie minicamp this past weekend, so we address their addition to the team.
Alex and I go over a few other takeaways from the team's rookie minicamp based on quotes from players. We spend a little bit of time talking about rookie RB Kaleb Johnson and we go over some early stat projections for 2025 when it comes to him. We also estimate how much Johnson might eight right now based on pictures from this past weekend.
2025 is a big year for WR Roman Wilson so Alex and I discuss the outlook for the team's 2024 third round selection out of Michigan.
Pickens was back in the news on Sunday, so Alex and I go over why he was and what he allegedly posted on Instagram, which was framed as him taking a shot at the Steelers for being cheap. We talk about how the Steelers aren’t allowed to be cheap when it comes to cash spending over a three-year span.
Might the New Orleans Saints be a possible landing spot for veteran free agent QB Aaron Rodgers now that QB Derek Carr has decided to retire? Alex and I attempt to answer that question later in this show.
This 83-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap as well. We end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners of the show.

Season 15, Episode 132 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to previewing the Pittsburgh Steelers' 2025 rookie minicamp that will take place over the weekend. We start the rookie minicamp preview by reviewing the roster the team will use these next three days.
Alex and I focus on a few notable tryout players that we believe could impress enough over the weekend to warrant signing. We also make sure to go over the five non-rookie players that were invited to participate in this year's rookie minicamp. We go over the main things we are hoping to learn from the rookie minicamp as well.
On Thursday, former Steelers WR George Pickens met the media to discuss his landing with the Dallas Cowboys via a trade on Wednesday. We go over several key things that Pickens said during that press conference and apply a few things to his time with the Steelers. We discuss Pickens apparently not pushing for a new contract now that he has been traded and if he would have done the same with the Steelers had they not traded him.
Alex and I go over the potential role that Steelers HC Mike Tomlin had in the team’s decision to trade Pickens. We also go over what the team's plan or plans might be moving forward into 20215 and 2026 now that Pickens is no longer in Pittsburgh. We discuss how serious the Steelers probably think they are right now when it comes to them being a competitive team in 2025.
The details related to the Steelers' 2025 regular season game in Dublin, Ireland are scheduled to be announced early next week so Alex and I pass along that bit of news as well.
This 87-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap as well. We end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners of the show.

Season 15, Episode 131 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers trading WR George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys. We go over the trade details to start with.
Alex and I discuss the Pickens' exit via a trade from several different angles during this show. We talk about why they possibly didn’t trade him before or during the draft. We also discuss the team not drafting a wide receiver this year and go over those available players at that position that were still on the board at the conclusion of the second round. Could any of these players offered significant contributions to the Steelers in 2025 as rookies? We discuss that question.
Will the Steelers look to add another experienced wide receiver now that Pickens has been traded? We attempt to answer that question and even build a compact list of wide receivers the Steelers might could trade for or sign as free agents.
We make sure to question the Steelers plan at wide receiver at this point and especially on the heels of what transpired in 2024 at that position.
Does the trading of Pickens at all impact the decision that veteran QB Aaron Rodgers has yet to make when it comes to him possibly signing with the Steelers? We address that question as well.
After thoroughly looking at the Pickens' situation and impact of the trade from all angles, Alex and I move on to briefly discuss former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger having QB Will Howard and OLB Jack Sawyer, two members of this year's draft class, on the latest episode of his podcast.
This 85-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap as well. We end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners of the show.

May 6 – Ep. 54: On this episode of The Depot Dive, Joe Clark and Ross McCorkle kick things off by talking about Arthur Smith admitting that he had to pivot his offensive scheme last year to fit the personnel. We discuss how different the offense might look in 2025 and the various reasons why.
For the next topic, we discuss the high level of hype surrounding sixth-round QB Will Howard. How or when will he get his opportunity, and why did he slide to the sixth round? We grapple with all of those questions and more.
For the third topic, we talk about some of the top things to watch at Rookie Minicamp this upcoming weekend including drafted rookies, undrafted free agents and tryout players.
To wrap things up we answer a listener question about George Pickens supposed compensatory value if the Steelers don't trade him.
