Description
Voiced by veteran talk show host Adam McManus and written by radio-host and pastor Kevin Swanson and a team of other staff writers, The World View in 5 Minutes is a round-up of the daily news from a Biblical perspective. And, perhaps most uniquely, you will often hear applicable Scriptures paired with the stories themselves. It’s part Paul Harvey, part R.C. Sproul.
You’ll get hooked to the most definitively Christian overview of the news including politics, pop culture, the church, and tracing God’s sovereign hand in the affairs of man.

Vulnerable Asian and African girls kidnapped, abused, converted to Islam
Christian women and girls are easy targets for persecution in South Asian and African nations. Last Tuesday, a panel at the World Evangelical Alliance's 14th General Assembly shared details.
For example, girls in Nigeria, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are often kidnapped, abused, and forced to convert to Islam. Even if they escape, they often face rejection after returning to their families, communities, or churches.
The panel called for better care for the women and girls subjected to such persecution.
In Matthew 25:40, Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”
Finnish stateswoman on trial again for affirming Biblical sexuality
Speaking of persecuted women, a Christian woman in Finland is on trial for posting online about her biblical views on marriage and sexuality.
Last Thursday, the country’s Supreme Court heard the case of Päivi Räsänen, a 65-year-old Finnish Member of Parliament. The state prosecution of her religious expression continues despite lower courts clearing her of wrongdoing.
Listen to her recent comments to CitizenGo.
RÄSÄNEN: “This has been my calling. This has been some kind of privilege, to defend these very crucial values, to defend the freedom of speech and freedom of faith, because that is what we need just now. And also to bring the teachings of the Bible in public.”
Lutheran Bishop Juhana Pohjola is also on trial in the case. He said, “I think it is important that Christians continue to be able to defend Christian marriage and the Christian view of humanity without fear.”
In 2 Thessalonians 1:8, the Apostle Paul wrote “Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the Gospel according to the power of God.”
40 Days for Life has saved 25,000 babies from abortion
40 Days for Life completed its latest campaign on Sunday. Pro-lifers mobilized for vigils in 671 cities worldwide for the last 40 days.
Shawn Carney, president of the pro-life group, said, “Thanks to your prayers and God's generosity, we continue to receive reports of babies who were scheduled to be aborted--but are instead alive and well!”
In some cities, vigils are continuing year-round through the 40 Days for Life 365 initiative. Since 2007, 40 Days for Life has saved over 25,000 babies from abortion.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney died
In the United States, former Vice President Dick Cheney died on Monday at the age of 84. His family said in a statement that he died from complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease.
The statement noted, “Dick Cheney was a great and good man who taught his children and grandchildren to love our country, and to live lives of courage, honor, love, kindness, and fly fishing.”
Sadly, Cheney supported homosexual faux marriage because his daughter, Mary Cheney, married her lesbian lover, Heather Poe.
Cheney was known as one of the most influential vice presidents in U.S. history. He served as vice president under both terms of President George W. Bush. He was a key yet controversial leader in the “War on Terror” following the 9/11 terrorists attacks.
Cheney was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was also the first Methodist vice president to serve under a Methodist president.
U.S. Episcopal Church shrinking for anti-Biblical stances
The U.S. Episcopal Church released its 2024 Parochial Report last month. And it’s not good news.
Not surprisingly, the mainline Protestant denomination reported fewer baptisms and a drop in the total number of parishes -- no doubt the result of the Episcopal Church’s rejection of Biblical authority and an embrace of sodomy and baby killing through abortion.
Worship attendance did increase last year, but is still down compared to a decade ago. At its rate of decline, the denomination could have no Sunday attendance in 30 years.
Deuteronomy 4:2 warns, “Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.”
Slight decrease in U.S. obesity rate
And finally, Gallup reports obesity rates are declining in the U.S.
The adult obesity rate stands at 37% this year. That’s down from a high of 39.9% in 2022 but up from 25.5% in 2008.
While obesity rates have declined recently, diagnoses of diabetes have reached an all-time high of 13.8%. That’s up slightly from 10.6% in 2008.
The use of weight loss injectable drugs has risen sharply over the past year. The popularity of these weight loss drugs is connected with lower obesity rates but has not lessened the rate of diabetes diagnoses.

Trump adds Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern
The President of the United States announced Friday that Nigeria will be added to the State Department’s list of Countries of Particular Concern in regards to Christian persecution, reports ABC News.
A "Country of Particular Concern" is a designation given by the U.S. government to a country that has engaged in or tolerated "systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom.”
This designation, made by the President or Secretary of State under the International Religious Freedom Act, indicates severe religious freedom violations like torture, prolonged detention for religious reasons, or religiously inspired murder.
A Country of Particular Concern designation can lead to diplomatic pressure or economic sanctions.
Trump threatens Nigerian Islamic terrorists with swift justice
President Trump added this passionate statement to his Truth Social on Sunday.
He wrote, “If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.
“I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians! WARNING: THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT BETTER MOVE FAST!”
In response, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said on X, "The killing of innocent Christians in Nigeria, and anywhere, must end immediately. The Department of War is preparing for action. Either the Nigerian government protects Christians, or we will kill the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.”
Last month, Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas commented on X that "Officials in Nigeria are ignoring and even facilitating the mass murder of Christians by Islamist jihadists.”
Mainstream media outlets sidestep Nigerian genocide
In recent news reports, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and other mainstream media sources continue ignoring, minimizing, or outright rejecting the world’s most egregious genocide at present -- the mass killing of Christians in Nigeria, Africa.
At the same time, Genocide Watch has issued a “Genocide Emergency” for Nigeria —citing the mass slayings of Christians.
The organization considers Nigeria to have entered what they call Stage 9: Extermination and Stage 10: Denial — with this particular genocide.
Over the last 15 years, a report from the International Society for Religious Liberties and the Rule of Law counts 189,000 Nigerians slaughtered in cold blood by radical Muslims, of which 125,000 plus were Christians.
In addition, 19,100 churches were destroyed, and more than 1,100 Christian communities sacked.
Nigerian Bishop upset that some deny there’s a Christian genocide
Bishop David Abioye of the Nigerian Conqueror Global Assembly spoke recently of the genocide, correcting what he called “the distortion of truth.”
ABIOYE: “There's a lot of distortion going on. People claiming that there is no genocide of Christians in the nation. You see people buried [by the] hundreds, and you say there is no genocide. What a wicked set of people. I agree there are people killed in other place for other reasons.
“But this one is very clear, and gradually it’s eating down to the South, Southwest, Southeast. Many so-called leaders, for their personal interest, are claiming it's not true, selling out their faith, if they have it at all.”
Romans 13 calls the ruler or president “God’s minister to you for good,” noting “he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”
Texas Supreme Court allows judges not to perform homosexual weddings
Is Obergefell on ice?
That’s the 2015 Supreme Court ruling which purportedly legalized same-sex mirage in this country.
The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that judges who refuse to perform homosexual faux marriage ceremonies will no longer face disciplinary action for their decisions, reports The Christian Post.
This comes right as the US Supreme Court will be discussing the same issue, scheduled for this Friday. Kim Davis, the former Kentucky county clerk, has appealed her case, where she was convicted for refusing to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples after the Obergefell decision came down in 2015.
Reformed pastor arrested for soliciting prostitutes
A Presbyterian Church in America pastor from Tulsa, Oklahoma has been arrested on charges of soliciting prostitutes, reports ChurchLeaders.com.
Jeremy Fair, senior pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church, was one of five men implicated in a sting operation. The church has placed the pastor on indefinite leave, according to a statement issued by the session.
U.S. government shutdown about to become longest in history
The current American government shutdown is about to round its fifth week, or 35th day.
If the shutdown continues through tomorrow, this will be the longest in U.S. history — exceeding the record set during the first Trump administration in 2019.
Because of the ongoing financial crisis, President Donald Trump is urging the Senate Republicans to scrap the 60-vote filibuster threshold in favor of the simple-majority passage of legislation.
However, on Monday, Senate Majority Leader John Thune said there’s not enough support among Republican senators to eliminate the filibuster, reports Politico.com.
However, Senator Thune did express optimism about the Senate’s resolution of the shutdown this week, reports CBS News.
Trump admin will partially fund November food stamps
On Monday, the Trump administration agreed to move billions of emergency dollars to partially pay for food aid this month in response to a federal judge’s order, though some families may not receive benefits for weeks, according to Politico.com.
Officials will use $4.65 billion from the USDA’s contingency fund to support roughly half of food stamp participants’ “current allotments” as the shutdown drags on, according to a new legal filing.
Help victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti
Late last week, Category-5 Hurricane Melissa clobbered Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti, leveling whole towns, and killing 67 people, 32 of whom were in Jamaica, reports NBC News.
Samaritan's Purse has airlifted their Emergency Field Hospital to Black River, Jamaica, and has already delivered tons of emergency supplies where the island nation has racked up $4 billion of insured losses.

Iceland, Denmark, Australia & UK kill virtually all Down Syndrome babies
And finally, in 2 Timothy 3, the Apostle Paul speaks of perilous times where men become “lovers of themselves, lovers of money … without natural affection … brutal … lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. [and] having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof...”
Catholic World Report has released numbers on nations aborting children with Down syndrome.
Iceland aborts nearly 100%, Denmark 98%, and Australia and the United Kingdom are killing about 90% of its babies conceived with Down’s Syndrome.
The UK Gospel Witness, including a group of reformed pastors, will be gathering at the U.K. Parliament building on Thursday, to call the nation and its leaders to repentance. Pray for this outreach.

Blind Pakistani Christian man falsely accused of blasphemy against Muhammad
Nadeem Masih, a 49-year-old blind Christian in Pakistan, has been arrested and charged with blasphemy against the false prophet Muhammad, punishable by death, reports Morning Star News.
Martha Yousaf, his nearly 80-year-old mother, said that Waqas Mazhar, a Muslim man, often harasses her son, sometimes extorting money from him and other times throwing water on him or calling him names.
Mazhar, the Muslim, works as a parking contractor in Lahore, where her blind son earns a meager income providing a weighing scale for petty merchants. She said, “Sometimes kindhearted visitors would also give him more money due to his disability, but the park’s Muslim workers used to steal it from his pocket.”
Some, including Mazhar, had also taken loans of various amounts from the Christian blind man but refused to return the money despite his repeated requests.
When Masih went to work on August 21, Mazhar and other mean Muslims refused to let him set up his makeshift stall, roughed him up and took him to the police station where the police, to their shame, mercilessly beat the blind Christian man and forced him to admit to the false blasphemy charge.
In John 15:18, 21, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. … They will treat you this way because of My name, for they do not know the One who sent Me.”
Human Rights Watch said, “Blasphemy [against Muhammad] accusations are increasingly weaponized to incite mob violence, displace vulnerable communities, and seize their property with impunity.”
Pakistan ranked eighth on Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List of the 50 most dangerous countries for Christians.
King Charles III strips Prince Andrew of title and housing
Last Thursday, King Charles III made a shock announcement confirming that he will strip Prince Andrew, his brother, of both his title and his housing at the Royal Lodge, a lavish 30-room property, which sits in close proximity to Windsor Castle, reports the New York Post.
In Andrew Lownie’s biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he documents that during a taxpayer-funded trip to Thailand, “Andrew had 40 prostitutes brought in the space of four days. This was all enabled by diplomats.”
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Lownie said this about Prince Andrew.
LOWNIE: “He's been caught lying time and time again. I suddenly found researching my book, you couldn't take a single thing he said without checking it. And I think the King [Charles III] has realized that he hasn't been telling the truth. And so, the evidence against Andrew is overwhelming.”
Plus, Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide earlier this year, claimed in her posthumously-released memoir, Nobody’s Girl, that Prince Andrew sexually assaulted her three times when she was 17, which he has denied.
Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure your sin will find you out."
Democrat Senator John Fetterman: “We have to be better than this!”
On Darkins Breaking News, Democratic U.S. Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania took issue with his fellow Democrats for voting to shut down the U.S. government 13 times in a row.
FETTERMAN: “We're a Democrat, we're not allowed to just open this up. I mean, then our party has bigger problems than I thought we might have already. That's not controversial. Pay everybody. It's a failure.
“And to all of the viewers, I'm apologizing that we can't even get together and just open up our government.”
REPORTER: “[Minority Leader Senator Chuck] Schumer said, ‘This gets better politically every day for Democrats.’ What do you say to that?”
FETTERMAN: “Ask the hungry people on Saturday. Americans are not leverage. This is not some game show about who's winning or whatever. We have to be better than this.”
As a result of the Democrats’ refusal to fund the government, 41 million Americans, who receive food stamps now, will not receive them starting this past Saturday.
Plus, the pleas of the largest federal workers’ union fell on deaf ears, reports NBC News.
Speaker Johnson contrasts Trump’s wins with Democrat clowns
Appearing on Sean Hannity’s TV talk show, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, provided a contrast between President Trump’s successes of delivering tax cuts, a strong border, a reduction in crime and world peace with the Democrats in the U.S. Senate who have voted 13 times to shut down the government.
JOHNSON: “What stands out tonight is the stunning contrast of what we're seeing. History is being made.
“Here's President Trump showing peace through strength, using his power and position to bring peace to the Middle East. I mean, a truly massive, historic foreign policy achievement, returning hostages, restoring security to Israel, setting a foundation for lasting peace, and reducing taxes on hard-working Americans at the same time and ending the border crisis and ending the crime crisis, and reducing fraud, waste and abuse in government, and now settling international conflicts all around the globe.
“Here are the Democrats on Capitol Hill acting like a bunch of clowns. They're trying to lie to the American people. They're trying to play politics with government funding, and real Americans are being harmed. I think there is such a stark contrast.
“I'm not sure there has ever been such a stronger contrast between two political parties, the Republican Party is delivering for the American people and the Democrats trying to make a show out of this.”
The 13th U.S. Senate vote on October 28th was 54-45, with only three members of the Democratic caucus voting to reopen the government, reports The Hill. They include Senators John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Catherine Masto of Nevada, and Angus King of Maine, an independent who caucuses with Democrats.
It needed 60 votes to advance. The "60-vote rule" in the Senate refers to the cloture vote needed to end a filibuster, which is a tactic that allows the minority party to delay or block legislation.
Initially, after the first cloture rule was adopted in 1917, ending a filibuster required a two-thirds majority or 67 votes. In 1975, the threshold was reduced to the current 60 votes or three-fifths majority.
Trump flirts with nuclear option to end Senate filibuster
President Donald Trump has flirted with the idea of the so-called nuclear option which would deep-six the cloture vote altogether, enabling the majority party to pass legislation with a simply majority vote.
On TruthSocial last Thursday, he wrote, “It is now time for the Republicans to play their ‘TRUMP CARD,’ and go for what is called the Nuclear Option — Get rid of the Filibuster, and get rid of it, NOW!
“WE are in power, and if we did what we should be doing, it would IMMEDIATELY end this ridiculous, country-destroying ‘SHUT DOWN.’”
However, President Trump does not appear to have enough votes from within the Republican caucus to end the filibuster.
The Democratic shutdown is animated, in part, by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York’s concern that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has a commanding 21 percentage point lead over Schumer in a hypothetical match-up in a Democratic Senatorial primary for 2028, reports Newsweek.
This is the second longest government shutdown in American history. The longest one lasted 34 days during the first Trump administration, reports CBS News.
61 Planned Parenthood abortion centers have closed in 2025
And finally, Troy Newman, president of the pro-life group Operation Rescue, had some great news, reports LifeNews.com.
He said, “61 Planned Parenthood locations in total (including referral centers) have shut their doors since our 2024 survey — a record number.”
The ripple effect of President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bill is saving lots of babies from abortion. Planned Parenthood was defunded $600 million of taxpayer money for a year which has resulted in these inevitable closures.

Sudanese police arrest pastor for not giving Muslim the church
In an apparent attempt by a Muslim businessman in Sudan, Africa to seize church property, the police arrested and jailed a pastor on October 28th in River Nile State, reports Morning Star News.
At 6:00pm, two police officers arrived at the home of Rev. Daud Kachu of the Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church in Atbara and presented him with an arrest warrant.
When congregation members said he needed to speak with the church attorney first, the officers initially feigned understanding, but two other policemen, hiding behind the church building, appeared and forced Pastor Kachu into a vehicle.
They took him to the Atbara police station, where he was jailed. An intensive interrogation followed on October 29th, and police conveyed the Muslim businessman’s demand that he had 30 days to vacate the church premises.
The police officers said, “The law is above your religion.”
Police demanded that the pastor sign a document stipulating that he would no longer object to anyone trying to seize the church property, but the pastor refused.
Rev. Kachu, who has led the church for 30 years, was initially denied bail, but police later released him after intervention by the church attorney.
In Psalm 105:15, God warns, “Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.”
Box Office Massacre: October Revenue Falls to 27-Year Low, Excluding Pandemic
Halloween is shaping up to be scarier than ever for Hollywood and its exhibition partners, but not in a good way, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Domestic box office revenue for October 2025 is expected to come in at roughly $425 million — the worst showing in 27 years, according to Comscore. This excludes October 2020, the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic,
Two problems. First, many October titles simply didn’t resonate with general audiences. Second, fewer people are going to the silver screen.
MN Supreme Court allows men, pretending to be women, to compete in powerlifting
The Minnesota Supreme Court ruled unanimously on October 22nd that men have a right to cheat in women’s sports, reported Fox News. The particular sport in question makes the ruling even more outrageous—powerlifting -- where men have a decided strength advantage biologically speaking.
Don’t forget: This is the state where Governor “Tampon Tim” Walz put tampons in boys’ bathrooms while letting boys go into girls’ bathrooms.
Walz and his Democrat predecessor, Mark Dayton, appointed all of the state’s Supreme Court justices. The fact that the decision was unanimous proves how the Left is “all in” on radical transgender ideology.
The New Left tells women today, “You have to let a man watch you undress and your daughter has to compete against boys.”
Trouble In Chinatown
In New York City’s Chinatown district, illegal vendors are selling counterfeit merchandise like fake Gucci purses, designer clothing, and high-end watches, reports Breitbart.com.
That’s not only illegal, it also hurts legitimate merchants who cannot compete with the fake knockoffs. Merchants have repeatedly complained to the city, but to no avail.
Federal immigration police launched an enforcement operation. They arrested nine illegal aliens, most of whom had committed additional crimes. Their rap sheets included robbery, assaulting police officers, drug trafficking, drug possession, forgery, and domestic violence.
Gary Bauer of Campaign for Working Families, wrote, “This enforcement operation was a ‘win-win’ for New York City. Immigration police got rid of illegal merchants and criminals.
“But what happened? There was a riot in Chinatown as leftists rushed into the streets to prevent immigration police from doing their jobs. This is what the Left has fomented around America. They have inspired an insurrection that is resisting federal law enforcement.”
Tucker Carlson: Abortion enthusiasts have a “religious fanaticism” about killing
In the footsteps of the late Charlie Kirk, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson took a strong stand for life recently during a Turning Point USA event at Indiana University in response to a pro-abortion student, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
Listen.
STUDENT: “A lot of what's happening in this country with people using religion to justify their stance against abortion. People are using
religion….”
CARLSON: “May I just suggest something. I've never seen religious fanaticism like I see among the abortion enthusiasts. (applause) From my perspective, it's so obviously a child sacrifice rite.
“The number of unintended pregnancies in an age of universally available free birth control is probably pretty low. They happen, okay. The wicked, gleeful enthusiasm that people have for abortion.”
STUDENT: “Who is enthusiastic?”
CARLSON: “Oh? Shout your abortion? (laughs) I think there's some enthusiasm. Putting an abortion truck outside the Democratic Convention? There's a lot of enthusiasm for it.
“I kind of believed the ‘My body, my choice’ thing. I really thought that's what it was about. Bodily autonomy.”
STUDENT: “That is what’s it’s about?”
CARLSON: “Really? So, where were you on the COVID Vax?” (cheers applause) It's not about that. What it's about is killing. It's about killing and the thrill that people derive from killing another human being and the power they feel when they kill.”
STUDENT: “Is that a real argument that you're making?”
CARLSON: “No, it's not an argument. It's a reality. I've seen it when people plan wars. I've actually seen that happen. I've seen it when people in power show videos of them killing people with drones or whatever. And they get so high from it. There's no greater thrill than extinguishing life because that makes you ‘God.’ I think that's the most evil thing there is, and one of the greatest temptations that people have is to kill because it makes them feel powerful.”
Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.”
Wheel of Fortune no longer family friendly
And finally,
ANNOUNCER: “From the Sony Pictures studio, it’s America’s Game …”
PEOPLE: “Wheel of Fortune.”
The Wheel of Fortune game show is no longer family friendly, reports OneMillionMoms.com.
Sadly, they have recently added a puzzle category entitled “What the Fun” which winks at the insinuated profanity of the most obscene word in the English language, making Wheel of Fortune no longer suitable for family viewing.
After Pat Sajak hosted it for 41 years, Ryan Seacrest replaced him as Vanna White continues to reveal the correct letters in the hangman style guessing game that enriches contestants with cash and prizes,
Parents will have to explain to their children that the primetime program they were once allowed to watch is no longer a clean show.

Muslim Ugandan beat wife and kids for trusting Christ
A Muslim man in Uganda beat his wife and two children last month for putting their faith in Christ.
Kulusumu Namulondo had to be hospitalized along with her two children, ages twelve and nine. Her husband proceeded to demolish the building of the church she had visited.
Namulondo described the attack to Morning Star News. She said, “My husband hit my son with the walking stick several times, and he soon fell down screaming and wailing in great pain . . . While my son was on the ground, my husband started beating up me and my daughter. Thank God, neighbors arrived, and my husband fled away.”
In Luke 18:29-30, Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”
Help victims of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica and Cuba
Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica on Tuesday as a Category 5 storm.
Melissa weakened to Category 3 before making landfall in Cuba yesterday.
The hurricane is one of the strongest ones on record in the Atlantic, killing dozens of people across the Caribbean.
Christian charity organizations are mobilizing aid for victims of the hurricane. Samaritan’s Purse announced it is “already preparing to respond as needed — with disaster relief specialists, materials, and aircraft all on standby.” You can give towards their relief effort through a link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.
Trump, Cruz and Johnson urge centrist Democrats to re-open gov’t
The Democrats in the U.S. Senate have now shut the U.S. government for 30 days, as they attempt to undo the provisions of President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill which ensured that only U.S. citizens would get taxpayer-funded health care.
President Trump didn’t pull any punches.
TRUMP: “Today, I'm calling on every Senate Democrat to stop the madness, to let our country get back. In the greatest moment in the history of our country, in terms of wealth, in terms of job creation, and in terms of investment coming in, these guys go on strike. It's really a shame!
“So, I'm asking them to be smart. It's not working. They're getting killed in the polls. The public understands what they're doing. They're doing the wrong thing.”
Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas explained that the Democrats have failed to stop the government shutdown.
CRUZ: “Thirteen times now the Republicans have voted to open the government to pay the federal workers 13 times. The Democrats’ party line have voted no, keep it shut down. Keep it shut down. Keep it shut down.
“And at this point it's not even clear they have an exit ramp. I think they're going to continue this another week or two, and then at some point, seven or eight Democrats are going to have some sense come into them. I think it is very likely to be retiring Democrats who will never again face a primary election. So, they're more insulated from the crazy left wing base.
“But we are watching performative art. We're not watching public policy. We're not watching elected officials. This is all about political saving Chuck Schumer's rear end.”
And House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, described Senator Chuck Schumer as irredeemable.
JOHNSON: “We have very important work to do here, and that's why we're pleading with them. Look, I think Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are irredeemable at this point. I don't think they'll be able to tell [New York City Mayoral candidate Zohran] Mondami, [a socialist], in New York and his disciples that they voted to open the government.
“I've given up on the leadership. So, we're trying to appeal to a handful of moderates or centrists who care more about the American people and will put the people's interest over their own and do the right thing in the Senate. There's no point in me sitting down with Chuck Schumer. He's painted himself into a corner.”
The Congressional Budget office said that the economy could lose $14 billion over two months unless the government is reopened.

Half of U.S. states scored poorly on religious liberty
The Napa Legal Institute released its 2025 Faith and Freedom Index on Monday. The report ranks states in the U.S. from 0-100 based on how well they treat faith-based nonprofits.
The states with the highest rankings on the index are Alabama (72%), Kansas (69%), Indiana (68%), Texas (65%), and Mississippi (63%). The states with the lowest rankings are Michigan (31%), Washington (35%), Massachusetts (37%), Maryland (38%), and Illinois (38%).
Sadly, over half of the states scored below 50% on the religious liberty index.
Nvidia now valued at $5 trillion
Nvidia became the first company yesterday to reach a market value of $5 trillion.
The tech company started with video game processors. Now it is a major producer of computer chips for the artificial intelligence industry.
The record valuation follows growth announcements from the company, including plans to build seven supercomputers for the U.S. government.
Apple and Microsoft, two other tech companies, are not far behind with market valuations of around $4 trillion.
America’s debt has surpassed $38 trillion
The U.S. government’s gross national debt surpassed $38 trillion last Wednesday.
That’s up a trillion dollars from just August of this year.
The U.S. government debt as a percentage of gross domestic product stood at 120% last year, according to the International Monetary Fund. That’s one of the highest debt-to-GDP ratios in the world. Only Japan, Venezuela, Greece, and Italy are higher.
(Look at the U.S. Debt clock.)
Federal Reserve cut interest rate by quarter percent
The Federal Reserve cut its benchmark interest rate by a quarter-point for the second time this year.
This brings the rate to a range between 3.75% and 4%. That’s the lowest it’s been in three years.
The Fed’s announcement noted, “Available indicators suggest that economic activity has been expanding at a moderate pace. Job gains have slowed this year, and the unemployment rate has edged up but remained low. …Inflation has moved up since earlier in the year and remains somewhat elevated.”
Museum of the Bible displaying oldest copies of Jonah and 1 Peter
And finally, CBN News reports the Museum of the Bible is displaying the oldest-known complete copies of Jonah and 1 Peter.
The pages come from the Crosby–Schøyen Codex which dates back 1,800 years. The text is written in the ancient Coptic language.
It’s the first time the pages from the codex have been available to the public since 1988.
Dr. Bobby Duke is the Chief Curatorial Officer at the Museum of the Bible. Listen to comments he made to CBN News.
DUKE: “This dates back to about 250 A.D. That's incredible to think that we have something that's 1,800 years old. A community said, ‘Let's put these items together so that if it were read it will inspire this generation of Christians that lived in that part of Egypt.”
1 Peter 1:24-25 says, “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the word of the LORD endures forever.”

Indian authorities arrest 3 Christians for outreach to Hindus
Last week, authorities in northern India arrested three Christians, including a pastor, for conducting an evangelistic outreach to Hindus.
The arrests were made in the state of Uttar Pradesh under its anti-conversion law. This comes just days after India’s top court criticized the state’s use of the law to target Christians.
Such anti-conversions laws are used throughout India to persecute Christians. Believers face the harshest treatment in Uttar Pradesh.
India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.

Yelp spanked for vilifying pro-life pregnancy centers
In the United States, a federal appeals court ruled against Yelp, Inc. in a pro-life case.
Yelp operates a platform that connects people with local businesses. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing the company for placing misleading information on listings for pro-life pregnancy centers.
In a press release, Paxton said, “Yelp tried to play politics and steer users away from pro-life resources, but being based in the criminal-loving state of California will not shield them from accountability. I will continue to defend pro-life organizations that serve Texans and make sure that women and families are receiving accurate information about our state’s resources.”
Pew Research: 59% of Americans like influence of religion on society
Pew Research reports a sharp rise in the share of U.S. adults who say religion is gaining influence in American life over the last year. The study also shows that more Americans express a positive view of religion’s role in society.
The survey found 59% of U.S. adults say religion has a good influence on American life, up from 49% in 2022. Twenty percent have a negative view of religion’s influence, down from 26% in 2022. And 21% have a neutral or unclear view of religion’s influence, down from 25% in 2022.
Fifty-eight percent of Americans also believe their religious views are at odds with mainstream culture, up from 42% in 2020.
YouVersion Bible app celebrates one billion downloads
And finally, the Bible app, YouVersion, is celebrating one billion downloads.
The Bible app began in 2008 as one of the first 200 mobile phone apps. It saw over 80,000 downloads in the first week. Now, YouVersion is available in thousands of languages and has been downloaded hundreds of millions of times around the world.
YouVersion is celebrating the power of the Bible next month with a 30-day Bible reading challenge.
Bobby Gruenewald, the founder and CEO of YouVersion, stated, “We're seeing incredible global momentum around Bible engagement . . . Every day we hear stories of lives being changed—someone overcoming addiction, marriages being restored, and people encountering Scripture in their own language for the first time. This milestone is really a celebration of the Bible itself.”
In Isaiah 45:22-23, God said, “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the Earth! For I am God, and there is no other. By Myself, I have sworn; from My mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: ‘To Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.’”

South African government regulating churches
Earlier this month, the South African government agency, known as the Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Rights Commission, launched a committee to regulate churches in the country.
The new committee will most likely make determinations as to “what qualifies as a religion,” who may be recognized as a religious leader, and where churches may worship. The concern is also that this governmental power would force churches to come under State-approved umbrella bodies.
The nation’s churches have scheduled a march to the Parliament building in Cape Town, the capital of South Africa, on November 13th.
South Africa rejects self-defense as reason to own a gun
The South African Parliament is also considering additional restrictions on firearms to remove “self-defense” as a valid reason to own a gun.
This would remove meaningful protection for families, farms, and churches from violent criminals, in one of the most violent nations on Earth.
The Communists and the left-leaning African National Congress have 51% control of the South African parliament.
Turmoil in Chinese Communist Party
The Chinese Communist government is still in turmoil.
At this moment, 38 of the 205 members of the central committee failed to appear for the big Plenum session last week. Of the 33 generals on the Committee, 22 were missing.
Trump to meet with Chinese president Xi Jinping on Asian tour
President Donald Trump met with Japan’s newly elected Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi yesterday.
This week, he will move on to high level meetings in South Korea and China, with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday.
The White House announced that President Trump has signed historic peace deals with Cambodia and Thailand, trade deals with Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam, and minerals deals with Malaysia and Thailand.
Javier Milei’s mid-term election triumph in Argentina
The results for Argentina’s mid-term elections are in. And Javier Milei’s Libertarian Party crushed it, reports Reuters.
Now, Milei’s party has 41% control of the legislature which is up from 26% in 2023. The left wing party dropped off from 44% to 32% which is an 11% decline.
Milei’s agenda will have stronger legislative backing for more reforms in tax reduction and deregulation of business for the country.
Bolivia rejects socialism
And, by God’s sovereign order of things, Bolivia has a new president as of last week, reports CBS News.
Rodrigo Paz is more centrist — a change after 20 years of socialism in this mountainous country of South America.
Not surprisingly, socialist countries like Venezuela and Bolivia are the poorest countries in all of South America.
King Charles III glorified sodomy
King Charles III of England glorified homosexuality yesterday by placing flowers at a newly constructed memorial to homosexuals serving in the nation’s military, reports The Times.
Prince Charles’s mentor and uncle, Lord Louis Mountbatten, served as Britain’s Chief of Defense in the 1960s, and was reported in 2019 as “a homosexual with a perversion for young boys.”
King Charles III joined Pope Leo XIV for worship
King Charles III made other news headlines last week, when he participated in a public worship service with the Roman Catholic Pope Leo XIV.
This was the first time a reigning British monarch joined the Pope for such events since the Reformation.
King Charles and his wife, Camilla, sat on golden thrones under Michelangelo's "Last Judgment" fresco in the Sistine Chapel for the ecumenical service.
Joel 3 reminds us of God’s judgement. “Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations. Putin celebrates successful test of missile
Russian President Vladimir Putin celebrated a successful test for the Burevestnik missile over the weekend, reports CBS News.
Putin announced that the armament was ready for deployment, after it completed a 10,000-mile flight.
Plus, according to the Russian military, the missile “successfully performed all designated vertical and horizontal maneuvers, demonstrating its strong ability to evade anti-missile and air defense systems.”

America’s most lethal aircraft carrier off Venezuelan coast
Meanwhile, the U.S. Military is sending its most lethal aircraft carrier from European waters into the Caribbean for the ongoing drug war, now heating up somewhere off the shores of Venezuela, reports TheHill.com.
The main target for the flurry of activity appears to be Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, whom the Trump administration has called an “illegitimate leader.”
Appearing on CBS’s Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina was asked about possible land strikes in Venezuela.
BRENNAN: “Are land strikes planned?”
GRAHAM: “Yeah, I think that's a real possibility. I think President Trump's made a decision that [Venezuelan President Nicolás] Maduro, the leader of Venezuela, is an indicted drug trafficker, that it's time for him to go. Venezuela and Colombia have been safe havens for ‘narco terrorists’ for too long.”
Oil likely will cost less in 2026
America’s oil wells are pumping it out.
Chevron CEO Mike Wirth told Fox Business host Maria Bartiroma, that gas prices in 2026 may very well be lower than they were this year.
BARTIROMA: “Can you give us a sense of what you would expect for 2026?”
WIRTH: “Yeah, I think we see supply growing, particularly from the OPEC-supplying countries, and demand growing steadily. But as this supply comes back, it's weighing on commodity markets. So, we're prepared for prices in ‘26 to be lower than they were in ‘25.”
Christian pastors arrested for child p*rn
And finally, assorted national news stories report that Christian pastors and leaders have been recently arrested for possession of extreme evil forms of pornography involving children.
Singer and worship leader Jon Paul Sheptock, of First Montgomery Baptist Church, is under arrest, reports the Baptist Press.
The Idaho Statesman reports that the senior pastor at Sovereign Grace Fellowship in Nampa, Idaho was arrested for handling images of a “horrific” nature.
Another Baptist youth pastor from Greenville, South Carolina was just sentenced to twenty years for a similar offense.
A pastor of the House of Prayer Christian Church in Georgia has been indicted by a federal court for similar offenses.
And another former youth pastor at the Southcoast church in Goleta, California has been arrested on related charges.
Jeremiah speaks of religious scandals in the churches. The prophet wrote, “My heart within me is broken because of the prophets. . . For the land is full of adulterers; For because of a curse the land mourns. The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil, and their might is not right. “For both prophet and priest are profane; Yes, in My house I have found their wickedness,” says the Lord. I will bring disaster on them, the year of their punishment.” (Jeremiah 23:9-12)

U.S. Christian missionary pilot kidnapped in Niger at gunpoint
Prayers are now going up to Heaven around the world for American missionary pilot Kevin Rideout after he was reportedly kidnapped from his home in the highly secure Château 1 neighborhood of Niamey, the capital of Niger in West Africa, reports The Christian Post.
Rideout, a 48-year-old married father, works with Serving In Mission. Radio France Internationale reported last Wednesday that Rideout was kidnapped by three men at gunpoint near the grand Bravia Hotel, in the city center, just a few hundred meters from the presidential palace.
A U.S. State Department spokesman told CBS News, "It is a top priority for the Trump administration to look after the safety of every American, and we are seeing efforts from across the U.S. government to support the recovery and safe return of this U.S. citizen.”
The U.S. Embassy in Niamey also issued a security alert on Wednesday, warning Americans that they face a "heightened risk of kidnapping" throughout the country, which has been in political turmoil since a coup d'etat on July 26, 2023.
There has been no known demand from any kidnappers nor any official response from the Nigerien government.
Security officials said the kidnapped American's phone was tracked less than an hour after the abduction late Tuesday night to a location about 56 miles north of Niamey — in an area "considered a sanctuary for groups affiliated with the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara" between the Nigerian capital and the Malian border.
Please pray Psalm 121:7 for missionary pilot Kevin Rideout. “The Lord will keep you from all harm. He will watch over your life.”
Mike Johnson: Democrats want waste and abuse back in Medicaid
The U.S. government has been shut down now for 27 days.
Appearing on ABC, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, explained what the Democrats in the U.S. Senate are trying to do instead of voting for the clean Continuing Resolution to re-open the government.
JOHNSON: “What it does is it unwinds the changes that Republicans put into the Big, Beautiful Bill, the big signature legislation that we passed and signed into law on July 4 that has been very successful in shoring up Medicaid for the people who are actually eligible to receive it.
“What we did in the bill, and the CBO just verified this three weeks ago, the Congressional Budget Office, the nonpartisan arbiters of everything up here, they said that those provisions have helped to reduce premiums.
“Why? Because we got ineligible recipients off of Medicaid, illegal aliens and able bodied young men who are riding the wagon, who are not eligible to be there. Medicaid is intended for specific populations of U.S. citizens -- that is young, pregnant women who are down on their luck, the disabled and the elderly.
“Those resources are being drained from those folks, and so we fixed that. We reduced fraud, waste, and abuse in the program. Chuck Schumer's counter proposal on the [Continuing Resolution] would reverse that. That is a simple fact.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson polling higher than Kamala for president
Former Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost in a landslide against President Donald Trump last November, chatted with BBC interviewer Laura Kuenssberg about her book 107 Days.
Kamala said she might possibly run for president in 2028 despite the fact that she is a certifiable long shot.
KUENSSBERG: “In terms then, of what is next for you, you write very powerfully about the differences that many women have made to your life, the experience of growing up with your extraordinary mother, or the stories of your baby nieces, Amara and Leela. When are they going to see a woman in charge in the White House?"
HARRIS: “In their lifetime, for sure.”
KUENSSBERG: “Could it be you?"
HARRIS: "Possibly."
KUENSSBERG: "Have you made a decision yet?”
HARRIS: “No, I have not.”
KUENSSBERG: “But you say in your book, ‘I'm not done.’”
HARRIS: “That is correct. I am not done. I have lived my entire career a life of service, and it's in my bones. There are many ways to serve. I've not decided yet what I will do in the future, beyond what I'm doing right now.”
KUENSSBERG: “But you've been very clear that it is a possibility you might run again to become president. And, in my experience, interviewing politicians, when someone says, ‘I'm not done,’ it means they are thinking seriously about running. But when you look at the bookies odds, they put you as an outsider, even behind Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Is that underestimating you?”
HARRIS: “I think there are all kinds of polls that will tell you a variety of things. I've never listened to polls. If I listened to polls, I would have not run for my first office or my second office. And I certainly wouldn't be sitting here in this interview.”
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the WWE wrestler turned actor, has starred in 30 films which have earned $6.2 billion. He also has 391 million followers on Instagram.
According to Polymarket, an online betting website where users can place "yes" or "no" bets on the likelihood of world events, “The Rock” has a 5.6% chance of becoming the Democratic presidential nominee compared to Kamala Harris who has a 5% chance, reports Newsweek.
California Governor Gavin Newsom and Congresswoman Alexendria Ocasio-Cortez are the top two at 32% and 11% respectively.
Dallas church paints steps homosexual pride colors
And finally, after Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatened to withhold funding from cities and counties with pro-homosexual, pro-transgender rainbow crosswalks, one God-hating Texas church has responded by defiantly painting its own steps with the sodomite colors, reports the San Antonio Express-News.
Lesbian Pastor Rachel Allison, of Oak Lawn United Methodist Church in Dallas, explained why she disagreed with Abbott. She said, "Silence in the face of harm always sides with the oppressor. Painting our steps in the colors of the rainbow is a visible witness to the gospel we preach: that every person is created in the image of God and worthy of safety, dignity and belonging."
They certainly were not affirming the original Biblical meaning of the rainbow.
In Genesis 9:13-15, God said, “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the Earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the Earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.”
Not surprisingly, Pastor Rachel Allison is faux married to a woman named Cheryl.
Governor Abbott's threat includes San Antonio's sexual perversion district on North Main Avenue and East Evergreen Street.
Now, more than six years after its installation, local perverts are urging San Antonio city officials to fight to keep the public art installations despite Abbott's directive.
The Lone Star State Governor said, “Texans expect their taxpayer dollars to be used wisely, not advance political agendas on Texas roadways. To keep Texans moving safely and free from distraction, we must maintain a safe and consistent transportation network across Texas.”
The directive comes after Trump-appointed U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued a statement urging state governors to join a national roadway safety initiative to nix artwork and political messaging from the streets.
In a post to X, Duffy wrote, "Taxpayers expect their dollars to fund safe streets, not rainbow crosswalks."
Write a polite, Biblically-based 2-3 sentence letter of objection to Pastor Rachel Allison, Oak Lawn United Methodist Church, 3014 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75219.

Spanish priest acquitted on hate crime charges for criticizing radical Islam
A Spanish Catholic priest who was facing three years in prison for making critical remarks about radical Islam nearly a decade ago has been acquitted, reports The Christian Post.
The advocacy organization Abogados Cristianos announced in an X post last Friday that “The Malaga Court [acquitted] Pastor Custodio [Ballester], prosecuted for criticizing Islam: there is no hate crime.”
In 2016, Ballester was charged with saying, “Islam does not allow for dialogue. You either believe or you are an infidel who must be subdued one way or another.”
The Rev. Franklin Graham praised Ballester’s acquittal as “good news” in an X post on Monday.
A report published last month by the Spanish Observatory for Religious Freedom and Conscience found that 69% of the attacks were directed at Christians, while instances of antisemitism grew by 38% compared to 2023 and had increased by 867% since 2022.
Senator Schumer’s shutdown flip flop, afraid of an AOC challenge
Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Minority Leader of the U.S. Senate, has historically opposed government shutdowns.
He opposed a shutdown on October 16, 2013.
SCHUMER: “What if I persuaded my caucus to say I'm going to shut the government down. I'm going to not pay our bills unless I get my way. It's a politics of idiocy, of confrontation, of paralysis.”
Then, Senator Schumer opposed a government shutdown on January 25, 2019.
SCHUMER: “Shutting down government over a policy difference is self-defeating. We can never hold American workers hostage again.”
And, as recently as March 13th of this year, Senator Schumer opposed a government shutdown then.
SCHUMER: “While the [Continuing Resolution] bill is very bad, the potential for a shutdown has consequences for America that are much, much worse. Therefore, I will vote to keep the government open and not shut it down.”
But now, Democratic Senator Schumer is leading the fight for the government shutdown, driven by the AOC/Sanders wing of his party.
Listen to CNN’s John Berman’s introduction of his recent appearance.
BERMAN: “Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who joins us now from Capitol Hill. Senator, I was saying that every Republican who's gone on TV the last, what nine hours or so, has called this the ‘Schumer Shutdown.”
Later, Berman said this.
BERMAN: “Everyone in Congress right now, on the Republican side, is really pointing the finger squarely at you personally. And one of the things they're saying is, this is about politics in New York, that you might face a primary from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.”
In fact, Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana said as much.
KENNEDY: “Senator Schumer, his relationship with the truth is very casual. The truth is that this is a political shutdown. Senator Schumer is nervous as a pregnant nun about losing his re-election to the socialist wing of his party led by Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, which is in control.
“Now, we will eventually come out of this shutdown. Here's how I think it will happen. Senator Schumer is a smart man. He's been around a long time. His first car was a chariot. Washington is all he's ever known his entire life. He knows he's on shaky ground here in terms of policy.
“So, here's how I think it'll end. Schumer will go to six or eight of his colleagues, Democrats of course, and say, ‘I want you to vote to lift the shutdown.’ He'll say, ‘I can't vote with you. I've got to appear to be tough. I may even have to criticize you, but’ -- wink wink, nod nod – ‘I'm trying to make the loon wing of the party love me, but you bail me out here.’ But he's got to be careful with that, because he doesn't want it to look like a mutiny, because then he looks even weaker.”
CA teacher to ICE: “They are not the only ones with guns in this city.”
The Department of Homeland Security will refer a California teacher for a possible criminal probe after he made threatening comments toward immigration officials, reports WorldNetDaily.com.
Listen to Los Angeles Unified School District history teacher Ron Gochez.
GOCHEZ: “Don't forget where you're standing. This is South Central Los Angeles. They are not the only ones with guns in this city. They're not the only ones that don't forget that. And I don't say that because we're calling it for violence. I'm saying that because the people have every right to defend themselves against masked, unidentified gunmen with AR-15s and other military rifles.”
Gochez founded the Los Angeles chapter of Union del Barrio—a revolutionary socialist movement that demands an end to capitalism and open borders from Alaska to Chile. The group sees communist dictators like Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Che Guevara as heroes.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said that the teacher’s comments endanger ICE agents' lives.
New Bible story book injects sexual perversion, gender confusion, and woke ideology
And finally, a new children's book of Bible stories claims that the Bible has "made-up" stories and events in its pages, drawing criticism from Focus on the Family, reports The Christian Post.
The Just Love Story Bible, authored by Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis and Rev. Dr. Shannon Harris, reimagines 52 stories from the Old and New Testaments, weaving in sexual perversion, gender confusion, and woke ideology. For them, the Bible is not authoritative; they are.
In the book's introduction to Genesis, the woke authors, who are part of the leftist Presbyterian Church (USA), write, "Some of the stories had made-up characters and events. Others were about real people and things that really happened."
Harris, an associate dean at Auburn Theological Seminary in New York City, explained her motivation behind the project at a Q&A event for the book in September.
HARRIS: “I wanted to do this project with Jackie, because when my kids were little, it was really hard to find a children's Bible that I didn't feel like I had to change some of the words. Like there might be stories that talked about God, like God was a boy (laughing) and only used kind of male language for God. Or they might tell a story, but they wouldn't tell enough about the story to understand whether it was about a made-up character or a real person.”
Later, to the audience of parents and young children, she read an excerpt from her woke Just Love Story Bible in which she reinterpreted the plagues and other punishments that God had sent to get Pharoah’s attention or the attention of His chosen people, the Jews.
HARRIS: “Four natural disasters, one after the other. Well, the prophet and the people thought they were to blame. They thought that the disasters were God's way of punishing them. They didn't know that when bad things happen, like swarms of bugs, floods, earthquakes or tornadoes, it's not God's punishment, but it's easy to worry when bad things happen, to feel like God's angry at you, even when that's not true.”
Inspired by the Joel 2:28 passage, Harris also imagined what a young person might envision.
HARRIS: “So what did the young people prophesy back then? Perhaps one of them bravely announced to the prophets, priests and people: ‘I don't believe that our loving God sends terrible things to teach us a lesson.’”
In an op-ed published by Focus on the Family's news arm, Daily Citizen, Paul Batura warned families about The Just Love Story Bible. He said, "[T]he motives of the authors appear broader and far more dangerous than merely trumpeting diversity. They also want to sow seeds of doubt in children’s minds that the events depicted in the Bible are literally true, including the Resurrection.”
He added, "Questioning the accuracy and authority of the Bible is hardly a new exercise, but so blatantly and openly selling such a heretical interpretation of God’s Word to children undermines God’s sacred Word in a particularly dangerous and destructive way."
Indeed, 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says, “For a time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe released a new report on anti-Christian crimes in Europe.
The survey found such crimes are downplayed, under-reported, or politically overlooked. Anti-Christian hate crimes include vandalism, harassment, threats, physical assaults, and even murder.
The report noted, “Religion-related or religion-inspired violence may also stem from the perception of Christianity as a rival, inferior or adversarial faith . . . For example, some forms of violent ‘extremist’ rhetoric portray Christians as ‘infidels’ and ‘enemies of Islam’ who must be subdued.”
Converts from Islam to Christianity in Europe, especially women, were particularly at risk of violence or threats from family members.

The ministry noted, “We have received a huge number of messages from seekers, exploring faith, and seen many come to faith during the war. We have mailed out hundreds of copies of the New Testament.”
In Romans 1:16, the Apostle Paul wrote, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
J.D. Vance in Israel: Ceasefire will hold

New North Carolina U.S. congressional map could help GOP
In the United States, North Carolinian lawmakers approved a new congressional map yesterday.

Barna: Americans don’t believe drunkenness, gambling, & Sabbath-breaking are sinful
Dr. George Barna, the Christian researcher, released his latest report on the worldview of Americans.
The survey asked people about 12 specific behaviors, traditionally considered sinful.
The study found a majority of U.S. adults still believe six of the behaviors are sinful. Those include lying or manipulating, abusing God’s name, idol worship, sex outside marriage, pornography use, and illegal drug use.
Respondents were split on three of the behaviors—abortion, sexual fantasies, and cheating on taxes.
And Americans dismissed the final three behaviors as not sinful—drunkenness, gambling, and Sabbath-breaking.
The study identified three increasingly influential groups in American society: the adult portion of Gen Z, atheists and agnostics, and the Asian-American population. Dr. Barna noted, “Together, a majority of those groups approve of lying for personal benefit, sex on demand, abortion, idolatry, and various lifestyle vices.”
Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law.”
Iceland lost its mosquito-free status
And finally, Iceland just lost its mosquito-free status.
Björn Hjaltason, an insect enthusiast, found three mosquitos in his garden last week.
Matthías Alfreðsson, an entomologist at the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, confirmed they were mosquitoes of the species Culiseta annulata. It’s the first time scientists have confirmed mosquito findings in the wild in Iceland. However, it remains to be seen if they can survive the winter there. In January and February, the average temperature is 28 degrees.
Hjaltason told The Iceland Monitor the experience was quite exciting, “Yes, it’s always fun to discover something new.”

Columbian pastor threatened to leave community
Christian Solidarity Worldwide reports a pastor in Colombia is under threat of forced displacement.
Pastor Aristides Chocue has worked with the Nasa Evangelical Christian Church in the southwestern part of the country since 2022. Now, an indigenous council is ordering him to leave the community with his family or face punishment.
Despite threats of violence, the pastor said, “I am not afraid. The church tells me to continue, not to leave them. I plan to continue working and trusting in God.”
The South American nation is ranked 46th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.
2 Timothy 3:10-12 says, “You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, my persecutions and sufferings … which persecutions I endured; yet from them all, the Lord rescued me. Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.”
Trump threatens Columbia with tariffs over illegal drugs
Speaking of Colombia, U.S. President Donald Trump said Sunday that he would raise tariffs on the country and cancel subsidies.
President Trump accused Colombia of being complicit in the illicit drug trade, calling their president “an illegal drug leader.”
This continues tensions between the U.S. and Latin American countries over the drug trade. President Trump has ordered multiple strikes on alleged drug boats coming from Colombia’s neighbor, Venezuela.
Uruguay first Latin American country to legalize euthanasia
In other South American news, Uruguay became the first Latin American country to legalize euthanasia by parliamentary vote last Wednesday.

Canadian doctors killed 90,000 patients through legalized euthanasia
In North America, euthanasia deaths in Canada rose to about 16,500 last year. That’s 5% of all deaths in the country.
Canadian doctors have killed nearly 90,000 people since the country legalized euthanasia in 2016.
In many cases, the reason given for the assisted suicide was simply “frailty.”
Planned Parenthood closes 7 California killing centers
In the United States, Planned Parenthood announced it is closing seven locations in California.
The abortion giant has announced the closure of 50 locations across America so far this year.
The closures come as Republicans push for the defunding of Planned Parenthood. For example, President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” defunds the abortion giant for a year.
Bible sales up 36% following Charlie Kirk’s assassination
Following the tragic murder of Christian activist Charlie Kirk last month, Bible sales have surged.
In September, 2.4 million Bibles were sold, up 36% compared to the same month last year.
Interest in the Bible rose especially among the 18-to-34-year-old demographic, the age group that Kirk often engaged with on college campuses.
His widow, Erika Kirk, commented on this spiritual awakening during her speech at his memorial service in Phoenix, Arizona last month.
Listen.
ERIKA KIRK: “This past week, we saw people open a Bible for the first time in a decade. We saw people pray for the first time since they were children. We saw people go to a church service for the first time in their entire lives.” (applause)
The late Susannah Spurgeon sent 200,000 Christian books to needy pastors
And finally, today is the anniversary of the death of Susannah Spurgeon.
Susannah was born on January 15, 1832 and died on October 22, 1903. In 1856, she married the prominent English Baptist preacher, Charles Haddon Spurgeon. They were married for 36 years until Charles’ death in 1892.
The couple had twin sons -- Charles Jr. and Thomas in 1857, both of whom grew up to preach the Gospel.
By the late 1860s though, Susannah became chronically ill. Nevertheless, she continued her steadfast support for her husband’s ministry. Susannah also started a Book Fund ministry for needy pastors, sending out over 200,000 volumes by the time of her death.
Susannah’s great-great-granddaughter, Susie Spurgeon Cochrane, wrote of her, “When there were good times, she gave [God] the praise, and when there were trials, she fell on her knees before Him. Again and again she went to the Fountain of Living Water and drank deeply from it. Then, and only then, was she able to do all that she did in her life.”
In John 7:37-38, Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Xi Jinping fired 9 Chinese military commanders
China’s communist system is in turmoil, as the defense ministry announces the removal of nine very senior military commanders from duty, including a number two general, He Weidong.
Since 2023, the communist leader, Xi Jinping, has administered the removal of dozens of senior officers. These moves signal a factionalism from within the party and the Chinese military. Experts question whether Jinping will survive in his position.
This week, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is holding its Fourth Plenary Session where leaders will work out a Five-Year Plan. The outcome of this meeting will reveal Jinping’s standing in party politics.
Keep in mind: God is in control. Haggai 2:22 says, “The word of the Lord came unto Haggai … I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms. … I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, everyone by the sword of his brother.”
Pakistani pastor survives murder plot
A Pakistani pastor survived a murder attempt in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on the morning of Sunday, September 21, reports Barnabas Aid.
Pastor Kamran Naz had been traveling by bus, accompanied by his mother, from his home in Gujranwala to lead a church service in Islamabad when he was attacked by two unidentified gunmen.
One bullet wounded the pastor in the right leg. A second bullet narrowly missed his head. The attackers then fled on a motorcycle as some church members who were present swiftly came to the pastor’s aid and contacted emergency services.
Pastor Kamran had previously notified the police of numerous death threats. He was warned to stop ministering at the church or face the consequences.
Pastor Imran Amanat, leader of the Christian advocacy group LEAD Ministries Pakistan, said, “We will not be intimidated or silenced. We demand that the authorities immediately ensure the protection of Christian leaders and hold the criminals accountable. If the government continues to ignore these threats, it becomes complicit in the persecution.”
According to Open Doors, Pakistan is the eighth most dangerous country worldwide for Christians.
Swedish parents lost custody over kids’ required church attendance
Certain European nations have now been recognized for their systemic violation of parental rights, especially if the parents happen to be Christian.
Alliance Defending Freedom International is working on a case in Sweden, where parents have lost custody of their children under charges of “religious extremism.” The parents had simply restricted the phone use of their teen children and required attendance at church meetings.
After three years of attempts to regain custody, Daniel and Bianca Samson are appealing their case to the European Court of Human Rights. Recently, the High Court has already condemned countries like Spain, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, and Romania for systemic violations in family separation and child welfare cases.
Iran threatens Israel
Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei took to social media (X) yesterday, effectively taunting the American government, threatening Israel, and asserting independence for the nation’s nuclear program.
He asked, “What authority do you, Americans, have to dictate what a country should or shouldn't do if it possesses nuclear industry? What position do you hold in the world? How is it any of America's business whether Iran has nuclear capabilities and nuclear industry or not? .. . The U.S. President boasts that they’ve bombed and destroyed Iran’s nuclear industry. Very well, in your dreams!”

Human Rights Conference in Berlin Highlights Christian Persecution
Human rights experts met in Berlin, Germany last Wednesday, highlighting the increased persecution of Christians worldwide. The International Society for Human Rights released a new report on Christian persecution at the conference.
The report notes that Christians suffer under dictatorial states like China, Cuba, and North Korea. They remain victims of discrimination and violence without state protections in countries like Egypt, Syria, Nigeria, India, and Myanmar. And believers face persecution in Islamic republics like Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan.
The conference also highlighted the suffering of Ukrainian Christians under Russian occupation. Johann Matthies with the Evangelical Alliance in Germany said, “Russian occupation authorities are specifically targeting Ukrainian religious communities: they are pressuring churches to cooperate or destroying them if they refuse.”
Psalm 34:15-16 says, “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.”

President Trump spoke over the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin last Thursday. He then met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House last Friday. President Trump also plans on meeting with President Putin in Budapest, Hungary in the coming weeks.
Listen to comments from President Trump.
TRUMP: "I met with President Zelensky, as you know, today, and we had a very good meeting; very cordial meeting. In my opinion, they should stop the war immediately. You stop at the battle line, and both sides should go home, go to their families, stop the killing, and that should be it. Stop right now at the battle line. I told that to President Zelensky. I told it to President Putin. Thank you very much, everybody."
Russia Proposes a Rail Tunnel Under the Bering Strait
Reuters reports Russia proposed a “Putin-Trump” rail tunnel under the Bering Strait to link the two nations.
The eight billion dollar proposal follows President Donald Trump’s phone call with President Vladimir Putin.
Russia’s proposal would involve building a 70-mile rail and cargo tunnel between Alaska and Russia’s eastern region of Chukotka. The plan suggested Elon Musk’s Boring Company for the construction project.
President Trump called the idea “interesting,” saying, “We’ll have to think about that.”
Trump Moves to Reduce the Cost of IVF
Last Thursday, President Donald Trump announced a deal with the pharmaceutical industry to reduce the cost of in vitro fertilization.
The Trump administration hailed the move as pro-family. However, pro-life groups are criticizing the plan.
LifeSiteNews noted, “The IVF process is gravely unethical as it entails the conscious creation of scores of ‘excess’ embryonic humans only to be killed and human lives being treated like commodities to be bartered over. It has been estimated that more than a million embryos are frozen in storage in the United States following IVF, and that as many as 93 percent of all embryos created through IVF are eventually destroyed.”
Conservative Anglicans Split from the Church of England
Conservative Anglicans formally split from the Church of England last week.
The Global Anglican Future Conference, also known as GAFCON, declared itself to be the Global Anglican Communion. It will no longer participate in meetings called by the Church of England’s Archbishop of Canterbury.
Sarah Mullally is the recently appointed Archbishop of Canterbury. She is the first female to hold the position and supports same-sex blessings.
Bishop Laurent Mbanda is the chairman of the GAFCON Primates’ Council as well as the Primate of Rwanda. He wrote, “We cannot continue to have communion with those who . . . abandoned the inerrant word of God as the final authority.”

Chinese college forces students to identify as atheists
According to a September 30th report from ChinaAid, a mobile app used by a Chinese vocational school, requires students to declare they’re atheists.
The app, used by Tianjin Vocational College of Mechanics and Electricity in China, instructs students to check the box for “no religious belief” in their personal information sections, clearly violating their right to religious freedom.
The report stated that “point 4 under ‘personal information notes’ requires filling in ‘no religious belief,’ forcing all enrolled students to declare themselves as ‘atheists’ or ‘non-believers.’”
The Chinese Communist Party is officially atheist and has a long history of disrespecting and persecuting religious communities, including Christians.
Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”
The Gospel Coalition stated in 2022 that “[President] Xi despises Christianity … [and] fears that religion, especially Christianity, is an attempt by foreign influences to subvert his nation.”
U.S. Special Operations helicopters near Venezuela
The U.S. military’s elite Special Operations aviation unit appears to have flown in Caribbean waters less than 90 miles from the coast of Venezuela in recent days, reports the Washington Post.
According to an unnamed U.S. official, the helicopters were engaged in training exercises that could serve as preparation for expanded conflict against alleged drug traffickers, including potential missions inside Venezuela.
Already, the U.S. military has struck at least five boats carrying illegal narcotics in international waters, killing at least 27 drug traffickers.
Speaker Johnson & Speaker Ohana back Trump for Nobel Peace Prize
On Wednesday, House Speaker Mike Johnson explained why he believed that President Donald Trump is deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize next year.
JOHNSON: “I'm proud to tell you that together with my friend, Speaker [Amir] Ohana of the Israeli Knesset, the equivalent of our Congress, we're going to rally speakers and presidents of parliaments around the world so that we will jointly nominate President Donald J. Trump for next year's Nobel Peace Prize.
“No one has ever deserved that prize more. And that is an objective fact. It's an indisputable fact that no president has undertaken the work of saving lives and pursuing peace with such determination and with such remarkable success as President Trump.
“Under his leadership, we are witnessing the dawn of a new golden age, not just for America, but for the entire free world. The world is changed by these actions and strong leadership. American strength is good for free people around the world, as we say always, and peace through strength is maintained.”
Pentagon journalists turn in badges, refusing new Hegseth rules
Dozens of Pentagon reporters turned in access badges and exited the War Department on Wednesday rather than agree to government-imposed restrictions on their work, reports the Associated Press.
The nation’s leadership called the new rules “common sense” to help regulate a “very disruptive” press.
News outlets were nearly unanimous in rejecting new rules imposed by War Secretary Pete Hegseth that would leave journalists vulnerable to expulsion if they sought to report on information — classified or otherwise — that had not been approved by Hegseth for release.
Homosexual pastor says abortion “helps the life of children”
According to a viral video clip, a self-described “queer” Protestant pastor said babies should be killed in the womb so they do not grow up in an “unsupportive” situation, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
Kurt Kaufman is a recently “ordained” minister who currently works as a “ministerial associate” at First Baptist Church of Denver.
Protestia, which often criticizes liberal Christianity, posted a video of an interview Kaufman gave where he explains why he supports the intentional killing of innocent preborn babies.
Listen.
KAUFMAN: “Being in favor of reproductive rights [i.e., the destruction of the unborn], first and foremost, protects the life of the mother, and protects the life of the person that is already living, and is the person that is able to bring more life into this world should they choose,”
“Furthermore, it protects the life of children. There are so many children that currently exist in this world that were forced to be born because of legislation, because of men that have decided for women. And so as a result, many children have grown up into a unsupportive, unhealthy and right-challenging household that hasn't been a life that any child should live.
“And so being in favor of reproductive choice helps the life of children everywhere because they don't have to grow up in a world that dislikes them because they simply exist.”
This is why, according to the so-called “minister” it’s a good thing to support the killing of babies.
But in Proverbs 6:16-19, there are seven things listed that God hates, including “the shedding of innocent blood.”
LifeSiteNews asked Kaufman for further information on when the interview occurred, what he would say to the counterargument that society does not kill babies after they are born just because of their circumstances, and at what point he believes preborn babies are human beings who deserve protection from abortion.
In a reply email this past Tuesday, Kaufman wrote, “I have no comment to provide.”
Not surprisingly, Kaufman’s outrageous remarks drew criticism from commentators on X.
Scott Dunford wrote, “By his logic every kid born into a bad home situation should be eliminated. This is an evil and godless way of thinking.”
And an account called Woke Preacher Clips wrote, “This is psychotic behavior.”
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl perverse half time show vs. Turning Point’s wholesome patriotic alternative
And finally, Super Bowl LX (60) is set for Sunday, February 8, 2026, and will broadcast on NBC with a halftime performance featuring Benito Ocasio known as “Bad Bunny,” a Puerto Rican rapper who has championed sexual perversion, sexual immorality, self-indulgence, and hostility to Immigration Customs and Enforcement.
Indeed, Ocasio has said that his sexuality may be fluid. He told Gay Pride, “At the moment, I am heterosexual and I like women, but maybe in 20 years I will like a man.”
In his song, Ignorantes, he features sexual perversion, and in his song, Yo Perreo Sola, Ocasio created a disturbing video where he personally dresses and cavorts around in drag.
Turning Point USA, the nonprofit created by the late Charlie Kirk and now led by his widow Erika Kirk, announced they will broadcast a wholesome, patriotic alternative that celebrates “faith, family, and freedom.”
While event details and scheduled performers are still being determined, you can sign up to receive event information and vote for your preferred music genre at AmericanHalfTimeShow.com. The website again is AmericanHalfTimeShow.com.
And you can add your name to a petition, organized by One Million Moms, to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, chastising him for hiring the sexually immoral rapper “Bad Bunny.” You will find the link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.

British Christian teacher fired for Facebook post about Islamic violence
A British Christian teacher, who was unjustly fired, shared his testimony at a Reform UK party free speech conference last week.
Simon Pearson had a 20-year unblemished teaching record. However, Preston College dismissed him last year for allegedly being “Islamaphobic.” He had simply expressed concern on Facebook over violent crime and political bias.
Pearson is challenging his dismissal with the help of the Christian Legal Centre.
Listen to his comments at the free speech conference.
PEARSON: “Previously, I've worked as a missionary in a communist country where freedom of speech and religion are tightly controlled. I know what it means to live under a regime where truth is suppressed and conscience is punished.
“I never imagined I would face similar pressures in the United Kingdom, a country built on the foundations of liberty, of justice and of Christian values. I'm fighting for justice, not just for myself, but for every teacher, for every Christian and every citizen who fears that their voice no longer matters and they are being silenced.”
Young people of Northern Ireland more open to Christianity
Speaking of the United Kingdom, young people in Northern Ireland are leading a revival of interest in Christianity, according to a poll by The Iona Institute.
The survey found 18-24-year-olds in Northern Ireland are more likely to have a very positive attitude toward Christianity than any other age group.
These findings are similar to studies of young people in Ireland, Britain, and the United States.
Gen Z boys most likely to believe that Jesus is way to Heaven
Here in America, the Barna Group released new research from its ongoing State of the Church initiative.
Surveys show that Gen Z is increasingly open to Christian faith. However, among young people, women are the most likely to disengage from church, prayer, and belief.
Meanwhile, young men and especially teenage boys are the least likely to identify as having no faith among young people. They are also the most likely to believe in God and that Jesus Christ is the only way to God.
In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Fewer young Americans identifying as “transgender”
Here some more good news. Trans identification is declining among young people in America.
Eric Kaufmann, a Canadian professor of politics, posted the findings on Tuesday. His analysis is based on multiple data sets, including those from the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
The data shows 3.6% of undergraduates identify as a gender other than male or female. That’s down from 5.2% in 2024 and 6.8% in 2022.
The data sets also showed young people are becoming less likely to identify as something other than heterosexual.
Trump posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk Presidential Medal of Freedom
President Donald Trump posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday.
Kirk’s widow, Erika, received the nation’s highest civilian medal on his behalf on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
The ceremony comes about a month after the Christian activist was fatally shot while speaking at an event for his organization, Turning Point USA.
Listen to comments from President Trump.
TRUMP: “Charlie never missed an opportunity to remind us of the Judeo-Christian principles of our nation's founding or to share his deep Christian faith. In his final moments, Charlie testified to the greatness of America and to the glory of our Savior with Whom he now rests in Heaven.
Anniversary of martyrdom of two English reformers
And finally, today is the anniversary of the martyrdom of two English Reformers.
Their names were Hugh Latimer and Nicholas Ridley. Both were bishops in the Church of England. Ridley was born in 1502, becoming a great scholar and renouncing Roman Catholic doctrine. Latimer was born earlier in 1485. He became a great Reformation preacher, also rejecting Catholic traditions. His preaching brought Protestant teachings effectively to the middle and lower classes.
However, a Catholic queen came to power in England in 1553. She was known as “Bloody Mary” for her deadly persecution of Protestants. After her ascension to power, Latimer and Ridley were tried for their beliefs and burned at the stake on October 16, 1555.
As they faced death together, Latimer told his friend, “Be of good comfort, Master Ridley, and play the man; we shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out.”
In Romans 8:36-37, the Apostle Paul wrote, “As it is written: ‘For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.’ Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Turkey has expelled 350 foreign Christians
Alliance Defending Freedom International reports that officials in Turkey are labeling Christians as national security threats.
Since 2020, the country has expelled about 350 foreign Christians under the guise of “national security.” Many of these believers lived and ministered in the country for decades.
Officials are not only keeping foreign Christians out, they are also suppressing churches inside the country. For example, Turkey restricts Bible education and continues to deny legal status to Protestant seminaries.
Madagascar Parliament impeaches President after Gen Z protests
Youth-led protests have contributed to the unseating of another government—this time in Madagascar, an island country located 250 miles off the coast of Southeast Africa in the Indian Ocean
Since September 25, Gen Z groups have led antigovernment protests. They were protesting over water and power outages as well as poverty and government corruption.
The country’s parliament voted Tuesday to impeach President Andry Rajoelina. He has been in power since 2009. The Madagascar Army immediately seized control of the African island nation, promising to create a transitional government.
The Gen Z-Madagascar movement was inspired by youth-led protesters in Kenya last year and in Nepal this year.
America boosts Argentinian economy
The United States finalized a $20 billion currency swap with Argentina last Thursday.
The U.S. move aims at providing economic stability to Argentina as well as keeping China’s influence out of the South American country.
Argentinian President Javier Milei thanked the United States. In a post on X. he wrote, “Together, as the closest of allies, we will make a hemisphere of economic freedom and prosperity.”
Nobel Peace Prize recipient dedicates prize to President Trump
The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2025 to Maria Corina Machado last Friday.
The 58-year-old activist is known for leading the Venezuelan opposition to the governments of Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro.
Machado responded to the award on X, saying the recognition was a boost to her work. She also wrote, “I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!”
U.S. President Donald Trump has been nominated for the peace prize multiple times for his peace deals, especially in the Middle East. To be clear, the deadline for the Nobel Peace Prize handed out in October was January 31, just 11 days after Trump took office.
Jesus reminds us of ultimate peace in John 14:27. He said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Trump lays off 4,000 federal employees
The Trump administration is laying off over 4,000 federal employees as the government shutdown continues.
LifeSiteNews reports the layoffs include people working on Democrat programs like “family planning” and “LGBTQ health” issues.
President Trump told a cabinet meeting that he would use the shutdown to cut Democrat programs.
Listen.
TRUMP: “Despite all of the damage that it’s caused, the shutdown has been pretty damaging, not yet, because it's early, but it gets a little bit worse as it goes along. And we'll be making cuts that will be permanent. And we're only going to cut Democrat programs.”
58% of Americans say Bible transformed their lives
The American Bible Society released the latest chapter of its State of the Bible USA 2025 report.
The study found that 36% of U.S. adults believe the Bible is totally accurate in all the principles it presents. And 58% say the Bible has transformed their lives.
Meanwhile, 24% of Americans say the Bible is just another book of teachings written by people that contains stories and advice. A majority of those also say the Bible was written to control or manipulate people.
But Psalm 18:30 says, “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”
Monster pumpkin weighs 2,346 pounds
And finally, a California engineer won a pumpkin-growing contest held on Monday in Half Moon Bay, south of San Francisco.
Brandon Dawson’s monster pumpkin weighed in at a whopping 2,346 pounds, over 300 pounds ahead of the next contestant.
He is now the champion of the 2025 Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off.
Dawson told the Associated Press his kids loved the process.
DAWSON: “Oh, it's very much a family affair, especially as the kids -- my kids are four and two, and especially my four-year-old, especially now can really pay attention to the growing process. I think both of them might have interest in doing it in their future.
“We like to spend time out in the patch and watch the thing grow when it's picking up 50 to 70 pounds a day. You can really see it growing day over day.”

Chinese Communists detain dozens of leaders of unregistered church
The American State Department has condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s recent detention of dozens of Christian leaders of the unregistered house Zion Church in Beijing.
The arrests included the prominent Chinese Pastor Mingri “Ezra” Jin. Zion Church includes 10,000 people from at least 40 Chinese cities -- making it one of the largest house churches in China.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is calling on the Communists to “immediately release the detained church leaders and to allow all people of faith, including members of house churches, to engage in religious activities without fear of retribution.”
Pastor Jin’s son-in-law, Bill Drexel of the Hudson Institute, called the arrests “the most extensive attack on a Chinese church in four decades.”
Trump rolls out additional 100% tariff on Chinese imports
Speaking of China, U.S. President Donald Trump has announced an additional 100% tariff on all Chinese imports, above and beyond current rates. It will become effective on November 1st.
This would raise tariff rates on Chinese imports to at least 155%. The Trump tariffs have not damaged Chinese exports much so far this year. . .
Official numbers released yesterday indicate a 4% increase on total Chinese exports for the year. This occurred despite a 19% drop in US imports from China year-to-date.
The U.S. makes up only 14% of Chinese exports.
Israeli leader compares Trump to Cyrus the Great
Celebrating the end of the recent war in the Middle East, President Donald Trump talked to the Israeli Parliament yesterday, reports the Times of Israel.
Listen,
TRUMP: “This is not only the end of a war; this is the end of an age of terror and death and the beginning of the age of faith and hope and of God.
“It's the start of a grand concord and lasting harmony for Israel and all the nations of what will soon be a truly magnificent region. I believe that so strongly. This is the historic dawn of a new Middle East.”
This comes as the Israeli-Hamas War ends and the twenty remaining living Israeli hostages were returned to their families.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked President Trump for his support of Israel.
NETANYAHU: “The American-Israeli Alliance has never been as strong as it is now. The President has been an outstanding global leader. He's really transforming the world to better all of us. And I can again repeat what I've said time and time again: He's the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House.”
And Amir Ohana, the Speaker of the Knesset, the Israeli Parliament, also spoke in glowing terms.
OHANA: “Mr. President, you stand before the people of Israel not as another American president, but as a giant of Jewish history -- one for whom we must look back two and a half millennia, into the mists of time, to find a parallel: Cyrus the Great.
“You, President Donald J. Trump, are a colossus who will be enshrined in the pantheon of history. Thousands of years from now, Mr. President, the Jewish people will remember you.”
Keep in mind, Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6-7 says, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end.“
The conservative Global Methodist Church has drawn 6,000 churches
The more conservative Global Methodist Church now has 6,000 congregations worldwide, about 80% of which are in the United States.
That compares with about 29,000 congregations participating in the more pro-homosexual United Methodist Church.
Barna: 20% fewer churchgoers identify as pro-life
Christian researcher George Barna revealed devastating news this weekend.
The pollster found that the percentage of American churchgoers identified as pro-life has dropped off from 63% to 43% in just the last two years. The largest decline of pro-life commitment occurred among Evangelical churches — an incredible 33% decline!
Churchgoers claiming to be pro-abortion increased from 22% to 35% over the same two years.
Yet, at the same time, 75% of churchgoers believe that God is the author of life, and 83% say they believe that every human has value and dignity.
The report also found that 49% of Gen Z churchgoers are in favor of homosexual faux marriage.
Among the nearly nine in 10 Americans who self-identify as Christian, the most common types of Christian church they attend are Catholic at 39%, mainline Protestant at 20%), Evangelical at 18%, independent or non-denominational Christian at 9%, and Pentecostal/charismatic at 4%.
Of American churchgoers surveyed, 34% claim to be conservative, and 20% claim to be liberal.
Jesus said, “You are the salt of the Earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” (Matthew 5:13)
Gold up 54% within the year
Metals have become the preferred go-to for investors, or those who are out to preserve capital.
Over the last month, gold is up 11% and silver is up 17%, while Bitcoin and the Nasdaq have been about even over the same time frame. Year-to-date, gold is up 54%!
Experts point to the Fed’s monetary easing, sluggish economic growth, rising inflation, and geopolitical instabilities as contributing to the trend.
Central banks fighting inflation
Central banks worldwide are fighting inflation by reducing their Quantitative easing to tightening, from a peak of $38.6 trillion in 2022 to $29.5 trillion today. These numbers are still up from $12 trillion back in 2009.
The world inflation rate has dropped from 8.6% in 2022 to about 5% today. By contrast, between 2010 and 2020, the world inflation rate was running at 3.5%
Government shutdown in 14th day
And finally, the U.S. government shutdown enters its 14th day today.
The longest shutdown in history occurred in 2018, over a period of 35 days.
About half of the 3,000,000 people on the federal payroll are out of work —or at least are foregoing a paycheck. About 750,000 federal employees have been furloughed.
However, the Government Employee Fair Treatment Act of 2019 will ensure that all federal employees receive back pay for the shutdown period, if the government reopens for business sometime in the future.

Islamic terrorists in Congo killed 5 gold miners
The Islamic Allied Democratic Forces continue to cause death and destruction in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, reports International Christian Concern.
Last Tuesday morning, October 7th, they launched the deadly attack on Rizerie village, located in the predominantly Christian Lubero territory in North Kivu Province.
The Muslim attackers arrived while people were working in a gold mining site. They killed five civilians who were actively mining gold at the time.
A witness said, “The people who were killed were just trying to work so they could earn a living. They woke up early that morning, hoping to provide for their families. Then the rebels came out of nowhere and brutally ended their lives. It was horrifying — gunshots, screaming, and people running in every direction. Those men did not deserve to die like that.”
According to Open Doors, Congo is the 35th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians.
Please pray for the safety of our brothers and sisters in Christ in Congo, Africa.
Trump insists on paying soldiers in midst of gov’t shutdown
President Donald Trump is implementing a temporary solution to minimize the pain inflicted on American servicemen during the Democrat-induced government shutdown, reports TheBlaze.
On Truth Social, the President wrote, "I am using my authority, as Commander-in-Chief, to direct our Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to use all available funds to get our Troops PAID on October 15th. We have identified funds to do this.”
Democrats allowed government funding to lapse past the September 30 deadline, refusing to pass the Republican-led continuing resolution. Although spending fights have turned partisan in the past, Republicans simply proposed a clean 90-page Continuing Resolution that kept funding levels at the same rates that Democrats voted for in the past. Their bill had no partisan line items, with the only anomaly being a bipartisan boost in security funding for politicians following Charlie Kirk's assassination.
On the other hand, Democrats proposed a $1.5 trillion funding bill that is chock-full of ideological provisions aimed at reversing the legislative accomplishments Republicans secured with the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Democrats have also attempted to make the spending fight about re-negotiating Obama-era health care subsidies, although they do not expire until the end of the year.
16 killed in explosion at TN military explosives manufacturer
A "devastating" blast at a Tennessee military explosives manufacturing plant at 7:48am on Friday is believed to have killed 16 people, reports ABC News.
Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis spoke at a press conference on Saturday.
DAVIS: “We have notified all 16 families of those people that we feel were involved in this tragedy.”
The explosion occurred at Accurate Energetic Systems in McEwen, located about 50 miles west of Nashville.
DAVIS: “This is probably one of the most devastating sites I think I've been on in my career.”
Help Voddie Baucham’s widow and 9 children
The Christian community continues to mourn the unexpected death on September 25th of Dr. Voddie Baucham, a towering figure in Evangelical circles.
Known for his defense of Biblical truth, Baucham, a pastor, author, and theologian, left a legacy of family, faith, and opposing "woke" ideologies in the church. He wrote the book Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe.
Listen to this sermon excerpt about the power of the Gospel.
BAUCHAM: “We're justified, and we're adopted into the family of God. And we're sanctified, and as His children, we begin to bear the family resemblance. And we're further sanctified throughout this life by the very same Gospel that saves us, until one day when it's all said and done, we're not just saved from the penalty of sin. We're not just saved from the power of sin, but one day, we're glorified and saved from the very presence of sin. That's the Gospel that we preach. That's the Gospel that we need!”
Romans 8:2 says, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
And here’s a soundbite where the late Voddie Baucham shared his last two wishes.
BAUCHAM: “I’ve come to a place in my life where there's just a few things that I asked God for, and one of them that I pray for regularly is that God would allow me to spend my last day on this Earth with my wife, so that I can look her in the face and tell her that I was faithful to her to the day they put me in the ground.
“And another thing that I asked for is that I have raised my children in such a way that, after I'm done scratching and clawing and fighting for the cause of the Kingdom [of God], and after I have reached out as far as I could possibly go for the sake of Christ, that I will have raised my children in such a way that rather than pursue the things of this world, they would climb over me and pick up where I left off and go further and further and further than I could ever imagine, or that I could ever have gone in and of myself.
“That's what I want. More than anything else in this world. That's what I want.”
If you would like to help contribute toward the $2,000,000 goal to provide for his widow, Bridget, and their 9 children, 7 of whom are still under her roof, click on the special GiveSendGo link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.
So far, as of Saturday night, 5,349 people have contributed $824,650.
Skeleton-wearing amulet may change history of Christianity
And finally, an 1,800-year-old silver amulet discovered buried in a Frankfurt, Germany grave, still next to the chin of the man who wore it, has 18 lines of text written in Latin on just 1.37 inches of silver foil. That could be enough to rewrite the known history of Christianity in the Roman Empire, reports PopularMechanics.com.
The amulet—and the inscription—are the oldest evidence of Christianity found north of the Alps.
Every other link to reliable evidence of Christian life in the northern Alpine area of the Roman Empire is at least 50 years younger, all coming from the fourth century A.D. The amulet, found in a grave dating between 230 and 270 A.D., is now known as “The Frankfurt Inscription.”
In a translated statement, Ina Hartwig, Frankfurt’s head of culture and science, said, “This extraordinary find affects many areas of research and will keep science busy for a long time. This applies to archaeology as well as to religious studies, philology, and anthropology. Such a significant find here in Frankfurt is truly something extraordinary.”
The mostly translated amulet says,
“Holy, holy, holy!
In the name of Jesus Christ, Son of God!
The Lord of the World
resists with [strength]
This rescue device(?) protects
the person who
surrenders to the will
of the Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son,
since before Jesus Christ
all knees bow: the heavenly ones,
the earthly and
the underground, and every tongue
confess to Jesus Christ.”
In Philippians 2:10-11, the Apostle Paul wrote, “At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, in Heaven and on Earth and under the Earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Sudanese Muslims threaten to take over Christian school
A years-long Islamist attempt to seize a Christian school in Sudan, Africa continued this month even as people displaced by war have taken refuge in the facility, reports Morning Star News.
On September 3rd, an Islamic business interest sent three Muslims who forcefully entered the embattled Evangelical School of Sudan, located in the city of Omdurman across the Nile River from Sudan’s capital of Khartoum. They threatened hundreds of mostly Christian people displaced by internal war, telling them to leave the compound.
The intruders made their way to the office of the headmaster of the school, which belongs to the Sudan Presbyterian Evangelical Church and broke the office door. Without giving a deadline, the intruders threatened to take the facility by force.
Psalm 10:2 says, “In arrogance, the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised.”
President Trump helped orchestrate Israel-Hamas peace deal
At his Cabinet meeting yesterday morning, President Donald Trump discussed the historic peace deal he helped to negotiate between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian Muslim terrorist group, to end the two-year-long war.
TRUMP: “It's really peace in the Middle East.”
It was part of his 20-point peace plan to end the conflict.
TRUMP: “We ended the war in Gaza, and really, on a much bigger basis, created peace. And I think it's going to be a lasting peace, hopefully an everlasting peace. Peace in the Middle East. We secured the release of all of the remaining hostages. It'll be a day of joy.
“I'm going to try and make a trip over. We're going to go to Egypt, where we'll have a signing, an additional signing. We've already had a signing representing me, but we're going to have an official signing. So, it's been really something incredible that nobody thought it was possible to get it done.”
On Friday, Israel's government ratified a ceasefire with Hamas, clearing the way to suspend hostilities in Gaza within 24 hours and free Israeli hostages held there within 72 hours after that, reports Reuters.
Twenty Israeli hostages are still believed to be alive in Gaza, while 26 are presumed dead, and the fate of two is unknown. Hamas has indicated that recovering the bodies of the dead may take longer than releasing those who are alive. The living Israeli hostages are set to be released on Monday or Tuesday as Israel simultaneously prepares to release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
Many world leaders praised President Trump for his administration’s role in brokering the deal.
Celebrations have erupted across Israel and Gaza, as the region welcomes the peace agreement, reports TheEpochTimes.com.
TRUMP: “So, I want to express my tremendous gratitude to the leaders of Qatar, Egypt and Turkey, for helping us reach this incredible day and for being there. They were there with us all the way. And of course, as you know, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and so many. I will tell you, [Turkey] President [Recep] Erdogan was personally involved in dealing with Hamas and some of the others. He's been great. They've all been really amazing. Indonesia has been amazing.
“The whole world has come together for this. People that didn't get along, people that didn't like each other, neighboring countries, that, frankly, didn't like each other. But now this is a moment in time.”
At the cabinet meeting yesterday morning, Trump noted that this was the eighth major world conflict he helped to resolve in the first eight months of his second term.
TRUMP: “We settled seven. This is number eight. We settled seven wars, or major conflicts, but wars. The one that I thought would be, maybe the quickest of all, would be Russia- Ukraine. And I think that's going to happen too. In the meantime, they're losing about 7,000 people a week, and that seems pretty bad. They're losing mostly soldiers, young soldiers. They go out to war and they're getting killed.”
Pro-Israel activist: President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace prize
President Donald Trump is being hailed as a peacemaker worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize after securing phase one of an "historic" Gaza peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, reports FoxNews.
In an interview on Fox & Friends with Ainsely Earhart, pro-Israel activist Lizzy Savetsky was ecstatic.
SAVETSKY: “I think that the Jewish people across the world have really been holding our breath for the past two years, especially knowing that so many of our brothers are being held in the tunnels of Gaza, being tortured, starved, and knowing that they're finally going to get to come home, knowing that we finally have a chance for real peace that could only be achieved through strength and military pressure on the horizon.
“I just feel a great sense of relief. They were popping champagne in Hostage Square. This is news that we have been praying and praying and praying for for the past two years.”
EARHARDT: “What is your message to President Trump?”
SAVETSKY: “Thank you so much for having the courage to do this. I have thanked God every single day that you are our president. This is why I campaigned for you. This is why my fellow Jews campaigned for you.
“We knew that you were the only one who could get this done. You deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. This is historic, and we are just endlessly grateful. President Trump, thank you. thank you, thank you.”
Matthew 5:9 says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
Chicago Mayor vs Donald Trump over National Guard in Windy City
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson takes issue with President Donald Trump’s decision to send in the National Guard to protect the people of Chicago from street violence.
JOHNSON: “You know, as far as what we are hearing, the National Guard. First of all, it's illegal, unconstitutional. It's dangerous; it's wrong. This is not about deportation. This is not about safety for this President. This is about authoritarianism. It's about stoking fear. It's about breaking the Constitution that would give him that much more control over our American cities.”
In 2024, there were 573 homicides in Chicago. And between January 1, 2025 and October 6th, there have already been another 331 homicides in the Windy City. For 13 consecutive years, Chicago has had the most murders of any American city.
New York Attorney General Letitia James indicted on mortgage fraud
New York state Attorney General Letitia James was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in Virginia on at least one charge of mortgage fraud, reports the New York Post.
Federal housing regulator Bill Pulte referred James to the Justice Department in April. He claimed that she “falsified records” to get sweetheart home loans for a Virginia property that she claimed as her “principal residence” in 2023 — while she was starting her second term as New York’s top prosecutor in New York City.
Pulte suggested that James had committed crimes including wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, and false statements to a financial institution, among other offenses.
Arsonist who started Palisades Fire in L.A. arrested
And finally, Jonathan Rinderknecht, the man accused of starting the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles on January 1, 2025, was arrested Tuesday, reports The Western Journal.
According to KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, by January 31, the fire he set had burned through more than 23,000 acres, killed 12 people, and burned 7,000 homes and businesses to the ground.
Rinderknecht, now living in Melbourne, Florida, was charged with destruction of property by means of fire.
At the press conference, Bill Essayli, the acting U.S. attorney, said this.
ESSAYLI: “As the world watched in horror as the Palisades fire burned, victims perished in the smoke and flames. Homes, where cherished family memories and belongings, were turned to rubble and ash. The iconic Pacific Coast Highway along Malibu looked like a war zone. And thousands of people were forced to evacuate.
“Though homes and businesses cannot be rebuilt, this arrest, we hope, will provide a measure of justice to all those who were impacted.”

Pakistani pastor dies after 13-year jail sentence
A pastor in Pakistan died on Sunday after languishing in prison for 13 years.
Pastor Zafar Bhatti founded Jesus World Mission Church ministry. Back in 2012, he was falsely accused of insulting Islam. Authorities finally overturned his conviction this month, releasing him last Wednesday. The 62-year-old pastor died days after from cardiac arrest at his home.
The British Asian Christian Association helped defend the pastor in court. The organization stated, “Though his earthly journey has ended, Zafar’s faith, endurance, and ultimate vindication remain a powerful testament to hope in Christ amidst persecution.”
Nigerian Anglican Church appalled that woman chosen to be new church head
The Anglican Church of Nigeria declared spiritual independence from the Church of England on Tuesday.
The announcement came in response to the Church of England’s appointment of Sarah Mullally as the Archbishop of Canterbury. She is the first woman to hold the position. She also supports abortion and faux homosexual marriage.
Archbishop Henry Ndukuba is the Primate of the Church of Nigeria. He stated, “[Mullally’s] appointment marks a tragic departure from biblical orthodoxy. . . . We remain Anglicans — but not under Canterbury. Our loyalty is to Christ and the truth of His Word, not to institutions that have abandoned it.”
Police arrest man intent on blowing up church with Supreme Court Justices
In the United States, police arrested a man on Sunday who had hundreds of explosive devises outside of St. Matthews Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
Police made the arrest before an annual service traditionally attended by U.S. Supreme Court justices.
According to court records, the man’s notebook expressed animosity toward Supreme Court justices, the Catholic Church, Jews, and immigration enforcement officials.
FBI cuts ties with God-hating Southern Poverty Law Center
The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced last week it has cut ties with the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The far-left nonprofit is known for listing conservative and Christian organizations as “hate groups,” primarily because they affirm God’s design for sexuality and marriage.
FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X, “The Southern Poverty Law Center long ago abandoned civil rights work and turned into a partisan smear machine. Their so-called ‘hate map’ has been used to defame mainstream Americans and even inspired violence. That disgraceful record makes them unfit for any FBI partnership.”
Florida, Louisiana, Missouri & Texas sue FDA over mail-order Abortion Kill Pill
The state of Louisiana joined a lawsuit against the Food and Drug Administration on Monday.
Florida, Missouri, and Texas are also on the case. They are challenging the FDA’s 2023 policy that allows mail-order abortion drugs.
Louisiana’s filing states, “Every year, doctors and activists in states like California and New York mail a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved abortion drug called mifepristone to thousands of Louisiana residents for the express purpose of causing abortions in Louisiana that are blatantly unlawful.”
Gold hit $4,000 per ounce first time ever
On Tuesday, spot gold prices hit $4,000 per ounce for the first time in history.
That’s up 50% from January. Silver is up 60% this year.
The demand for gold is up as investors hedge against economic uncertainty.
Financial analyst Rhona O’Connell told Reuters, “Background factors are much the same as before, in terms of geopolitical uncertainty, with the added spice of the (U.S.) government shutdown.”
Prison Fellowship and Bible League to send 620,000 Bibles to prisoners
And finally, Prison Fellowship International and Bible League International are partnering to distribute over half a million Bibles.
The 620,000 Bibles will go to prisoners in 20 countries over the next five years.
Frank Lofaro with Prison Fellowship International said, “God’s Word has the power to reach prisoners in their darkest moments with the light of Jesus Christ. Through this partnership, prisoners who come to know Jesus through our evidence-based, in-prison programs are equipped to grow in their faith through a Bible that they can understand and that speaks to their circumstances.”
Luke 4:18 says, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
