the podcast was done by Marianne daughter. it was amazing.
Definitely agree that this season of Unsolved Mysteries has been really disappointing. I loved the first season but this one has honestly been hard to get though. I think people need to take a page out of my 3 year old's book - she always says "you get what you get, and you don't get upset". So true. If you don't like an episode, just skip it. It's not that difficult to do.
The second they spotted her, they would have emergency braked! They would have also held down the horn. I'm a Train Driver (in Australia), so it may be different, but you are supposed to emergency brake. It's surprisingly hard to see things near tracks in the dark, especially if it's near a signal. you have to concentrate on them too, and level crossings, etc.. But I dunno, seems suss to me, you're better off telling the truth, the black box will dob you in anyway.
Great episode. Im glad you mentioned the fact that CPS was called on Tiffany's mom (she hit Tiffany hard enough to cause "heavy bruising" on her arm and a teacher reported it) and that Tiffany and her mom allegedly had a difficult relationship. I don't think Unsolved Mysteries really did a good job talking about that aspect of things, which could definitely contribute to someone wanting to commit suicide. I also want to add that Tiffany may have been scared that her friend/friend's mom would press charges over the credit card theft. If I were her, I would be super concerned that my scholarships, and thus chance to attend college and escape an allegedly abusive household, would be revoked. Many scholarships have a morality claus attached to them and they won't be distributed if the recipient is convicted of a crime. She just went through a breakup, was supposedly having some identity issues around being gay/a very tall woman, was fighting with friends, was stealing, etc. I don't think its impossible that this fight over the credit card was the straw that broke the camel's back... I also find it odd that all the text messages from the friends were like "We love you Tiff! Please be ok!" and not "Hey! Where are you? Everyone is looking for you." The first denotes that a LOT of her are concerned she may self-harm or otherwise not be ok. The second is what I think people would text if a friend just walked off after a fight with a friend and there were no concerns about what they might do to themselves. Even the dad's voice-mail makes it seem like he was concerned she might hurt herself. I think that was really glossed over in the UM ep. I do think the investigation was poorly done and they messed up on multiple avenues. I wouldn't be shocked if it actually was a suicide though.
that pronunciation joke is in a lot. friends does it twice. once with phoebe and joey and again with Chandler and the whip, WHOOPAAAA 😅
WHERE. ARE. THEIR. PARENTS????!!!
Excellent episode! So much more information about Arnie was presented. Christy is really good a streamlining her episodes. And her laugh is contagious!
Going back, and listening to this was a blast! Love hearing Christy react to unknown information. haha LOVE!
I wonder if they have a semen sample that is from someone "shooting blanks" and that is something they are keeping close to the chest. I heard another case where that was the "tell" for the police and how they ended up finding the killer.
The doors to the home were NOT locked, nor had the security alarm been set.
$1M Pesos?!? LOL! That's a reach of a theory. 🇲🇽 🎉 🪅 🎊
I think PR got undressed for bed and then in the AM, after finding the note, calling 911, etc, in the commotion of the moment, she just reached for the easiest thing to put on which would have been the outfit from the night before.
At the XMas dinner, there was Fruit Cocktail. The pineapple could have been from there.
One of them sounds so much like Nicole Sullivan...from MAD TV.
I'm just discovering these ladies for the 1st time. They see fun. Could be the cocktails. LOL
No! We don't know "for a fact" that there was a man and child's voice on the 911 call. If you listen to the call, even the "enhanced" version, it's IMPOSSIBLE to make out anything from the static. Also, I've never heard that "We need an-" part in the beginning of the recording. I think those are fallacies propetuated by the "Parents Did it" people.
I also came up with Radioactive by Imagine Dragons, like right before you guessed!
love you guys so much. most hilarious podcast ever xx
please do christian andreacchio, it's such a bizarre case, I swear you'll be dumbfounded. it's a fucking ride. I love you guys!
The thing that's always confused me about this case is....why didn't the cops try and solve the scavenger hunt before the bomb went off? I get why they detained him/had guns on him, but did they ALL need to do that? Couldn't some of them have gone on this scavenger hunt on the off chance they could save him? Yes, I'm sure they thought it was a trap, but don't the police walk into horrible and unknown situations all the time. I'm not saying they shouldn't take precautions while following the clues, but why didn't they try?
