Previously known as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, True Sunlight is the intersection of True Crime, journalism and systematic corruption. Welcome to the new face of MMP.
True Sunlight is the antithesis of True crime. True Sunlight values accuracy over "access journalism". True Sunlight is shed with empathy — not exploitation. True Sunlight was created as a matter of public service — not just entertainment. While the name of the podcast has changed, our mission, values and team have not. We are simply expanding our horizons while continuing to shine a much needed bright light on crime and corruption wherever it appears.
Celebrated journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell are taking their style of reporting beyond Alex Murdaugh and his co-conspirators while pursuing justice for all the victims you've met so far.
Ranked #1 and #2 globally in 2021 and 2023 respectively as the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, True Sunlight provides unmatched insight into the crimes and criminals exposed on MMP and dives deep into new instances of corruption across the US.
We empower listeners to understand their legal and judicial systems through investigative journalism while providing tools to hold agencies and public figures accountable in order to change those systems for the better.

Really good episode 👍
The concept of "True Sunlight" is quite intriguing and has a deep metaphorical significance. In a literal sense, sunlight is the source of light and warmth that sustains life on our planet. It's a powerful symbol of hope, positivity, and enlightenment. https://trueen.com/business/listing/parchment-crafters/339294 When we extend this symbolism to our lives, "True Sunlight" could represent those genuine, authentic moments of joy, clarity, and understanding that brighten our days. Just like sunlight dispels darkness, these moments have the power to dispel our doubts, fears, and uncertainties. https://www.merchantcircle.com/parchment-crafters-brooklyn-ny
Hey sounds like Alec
language matters. please do not use the saying low man on the totem pole. it is not appropriate
So glad y'all will be coving Christian Andreacchio's case. I listened to it on Cupable and thought the family didn't get justice and treated terribly.
please don't listen to trolls! They are meaningless jerks that hate everything!
Can these episodes be listed in order? Episode 1 should be immediately followed by episode 2, etc.
"Elick" 🫠
Good luck on your new work! I was engrossed in your MMP podcasts and the thoughtful work that you put into it! Looking forward to your podcasts in the future!
Sadly I can't even get through the first episode because her vouce makes my head hurt. I've heard it's great though
What's with all these democratic politicians representing these scum bags
This is one of the most informative podcasts regarding the corruption.
Ya'll talk shit about Mandy's vocal Frey, but nothing is worse than listening to Alex smack while he's talking. 😫
I likedthe Poot som until hearing about this.. Poot was his nickade we could not say his full name—not a mean name.
One thing i wish you would cut back on are the ads. I know you get money for them but ”we Will be right back”and the ad before start is super annoying:(
Why is everything repeated so much? I'm confused at where I am up to as the same thing is said over and over is so many episodes. I keep having to check if I've accidentally clicked on an old episode.
I truly wish your episode list was in order! Is that doable? Thanks! I am obsessed with this tale from the Low Country of South Carolina!
I don't think I could ever be on a jury. My face would be screaming "Mr Lawyer sir, you are a dumbass!" or when someone was lying my eyes would do this so hard. 🙄
Who edited this? It is strewn with repeated lines.
Wait why would someone want you to leave this criminal alone? He didn't care enough to leave his victims alone. How can there be people out there that still support him? 🤔
