Description

Underneath it All, hosted by Grizel, we introduce mental health conversations in a relatable way by using the Enneagram framework. We believe the Enneagram is a helpful tool that encourages self reflection, allows you to recognize your own differences and helps us accept the differences of others, without judgement.
Through these conversations, we hope you can have a better understanding of others around you, learn to accept and fully embrace your own narrative, and to continue breaking the negative stigma that has engulfed mental health.

Underneath It All Show NotesSeason 4, Episode 13: Type 9: The PeacekeeperGrizel is joined by Kelsie, an Enneagram 9 Mentor, who helps other Enneagram Type Nines deal with mental health, conflict, boundaries, and more. On this episode, Grizel and Kelsie talk about accountability to dig into emotions, the unique emotional thresholds, and how to hold space for conflict as an Enneagram Type 9: The Peacemaker. From Truity.com: Nines are defined by their desire to maintain a sense of inner peace and harmony, and to avoid conflict or other emotional disturbances. They are typically agreeable, calm, and easy to be around. Nines rarely rock the boat, but they can be stubborn. While they typically go with the flow, they dislike being controlled and will respond with passive resistance if pushed too far.Deepest Fear: Nines fear being too needy and thus pushing people away. They cope with this fear by submitting to the desires and agendas of the people around them: being agreeable in order to be included.Core Motivations: Nines are motivated by their need for peace and harmony in their environment, and the desire to avoid conflict and deal with unpleasant emotions. Resources from this episode: Underneath It All Instagram: @underneathitallpodUnderneath it All EpisodesUIA is listener supported. Too often, life gets in the way, and we struggle to find moments for play. At Salomon, our modest contribution to this challenge is inspiring people to make Time to Play. But while we are play-minded, we recognize the need to play responsibly. This feeling of accountability drives our commitment to: The Toys, the products we use to find these moments of joy and expression, and that we strive to create in line with our values. The Playmakers, who design, develop and make the toys that help make our playtime possible. The Playground that is home to our experiences and that must be maintained and protected.
