Nice work as usual.
2% currency devaluation {price inflation} is better than 3% currency destruction...., I guess... I'm supposed to be enthused by this long standing policy of currency destruction since the days LBJ caused the abolition of the gold standard?
Interesting and informative podcast. Thanks Julie and team. Awesome work!
The fed through Powell and his predacessors have increasingly painted themselves into a corner of irrelevance as they have enabled irresponsible politicians to squander the national treasure at will in return for nothing and most recently perpetuating the myth that ZIRP was a real thing that the pols and public could count on. Good luck as the long end of the monster yield curve you have created turns on you to finally consume you. Oh yes, and this inflation you created is transitory...
The fed is soon to give their new "data dependent" overnight borrowing rate. I predict the data will still convey that this is a republican labeled administration, so rates will be decreed accordingly....
Much appreciation to Warren Buffets service in showing investors what their ceo's capital stewardship should mirror. Of course nowadays it seems the ceo dictating to shareholders is more in fashion, with buybacks and awards lining the pockets of these c suite grifters at shareholder expense as being the regularly accepted norm. Thanks Mr. Buffet for providing a glimpse of what capital stewardship and investing should be.
The federal gubmit operated on tariff revenue only under the Constitution prior to the 16th Amendment. What changed?
Judy Shelton for FOMC chair!
Goolsbee, "political independence for the fed is necessary". NO political abolishment of the fed by the people is necessary.
I see what you did there... Mag Seven clever and very awesome!!! A reminder of much, much, better times. Thanx!!!
China has their own aircraft manufacturing arm that has been reverse engineering for some time now. This is not surprising.
Talk about magic internet monies, what about gold and silver?
Great reporting as usual. Thanks Julie and team!
You don't think the entirety of the #LeftWingLegacyMedia screaming about the so called devastating impact of tariffs has an impact on consumer confidence? When in reality not a peep was heard from these propagandist clowns on the currency debasement of the prior 4 years, which had a far greater negative impact on the average consumer than these proposed tariffs ever will.
"the we work of data centers", good line!
Interesting that the Japanese were buying America in the late 80s and 1990s via inflated equity valuations before the burst and a resulting 30 year malaise.
Good presentation as usual. Thanks!
Starlink probably is a good alternative to the connectivity infrastructure build out boondoggle failure of a prior schemed graft of taxpayers. Just another in a litany of theft, recycling funds back into the party of course.
A vehicle will cost an extra $6200 due to TARRIFS!!! is an interesting sidenote to the story on how very, very, very bad TARRIFS are. Yet when the dollar was being devalued the last half decade through insane excess ridiculous government spending costing an average family over $15,000 more annually extra just to live, not one panicked peep?
Is now the time to buy a Tesla?
