Brandon and Chanel are back with our typical weekly recap of Righteous Gemstones Episode 4. This show is the best comedy in the last decade. We don't get these shows that often anymore and Gemstones fines a way to push the line but never go over. This episode we get some plot movement on BJ and Judy relationship, Pontious acting out, Kelvin and Keith breakup and the real reason the nephews are staying with the Gemstones.

Brandon and Chanel are joined by our friend from the PW Torch Rich Fann to discuss the season and series finale of Succession With Open Eyes. Its an end of an error and the end of one of the greatest TV series in history. The Roy family as horrible as they are have brought so much joy, and entertainment in a dark and disturbing way, and the finale ending is fitting for this show.

Brandon and Chanel are back to talk about the penultimate episode of Succession Church and State. This is such a bitte sweet moment because we know this ending is going to be fire but we are so sad this incredible all time great show is ending. But it is ending with a bang as we get Logan Roy funeral and Kendall Roy's rebirth.

Brandon and Chanel are back to talk about a triggering episode of Succession America Decides. This episode brought back the feelings of Nov 8 2016 and they did it in the way only Succession and Jessie can do. This episode cements Roman as a full on Nazi and Kieran Culkin put on a performance for a lifetime. We saw honesty we rarely see from the sibs in this episode and watch how the Succession world drifts into fascism.

Brandon and Chanel talk about the fall out from Logan Roy's death on Episode 4 of Season 4 of Succession "Honeymoon States". They had a big task in following up one of the greatest hours of television in history and at the same time setup the final stretch of the series and they did it masterfully. Shiv, Roman, Kendall, the corporate suits, Tom, Marcia, Connor and Willa all see their characters pushed forward and defined. Brandon and Chanel are back for another awesome episode of Succession. The chips are starting to fall and this episode shows a remarkable level of incompetence for the Roy boys and a possible reunion between Shiv and Tom? Lukas making his first big mistake and the Kendall coming through when nobody thought he would. Brandon & Chanel are back after missing a week, so we decided to do the penultimate and finale episodes of House of the Dragon together. It works because the two episodes are companions, but girl, IT WAS A LOT! Brandon and Chanel talk about how all of this was meant to be and how Rhanerya and Alicent are mirror images of each other.
We want to SINCERELY thank all the listeners for going on this journey with us, we plan to keep the feed going in between now and when Succession comes back. Please email us any suggestions of other shows you'd like to hear us recap! Until then, never forget that WE WAS DRAGONS!

Our bad for the late episode! Brandon had the flu and was feeling like Viserys but fought through it to put this episode out, and what an episode it was! This felt like the typical penultimate Game of Thrones episode due to the amount of tension and premonition, but it was only episode 8! We see just how important decisions our main characters made years earlier have led to this point. Patty Constantine puts out an Emmy-worthy performance, and we see how the Dance of the Dragons begins!

Brandon and Chanel are joined by Sharmane Fury from the Militantly Mixed and BlerdComixed podcast (@dablasianBlerd) to talk about Episode 8 of the HBO Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon. This show just continues to get better and better, and now we see all the alliances and where everyone stands. We did get more incest, we got some fighting, we got new dragon owners, and a moving funeral service.

WWDKA "Those Bastard Dragons" HBOKA "The Princess and the Queen"
Chanel and Brandon are back and so is House of the Dragon Episode Six "The Princess and the Queen." We got another time jump, and this one placed us right into the middle of grown folk's business! We meet some new Dragons who are probably...well, we don't want to be the ones to say it. Alicent is still plotting and salty -- and Chanel cannot stand it (!), Sir Christon Cole is insufferable, and Viserys turned into Chris Elliot on Scary Movie 2. This was on of the best episodes in the Game of Thrones series, and we break it all down.

WWDKA "Alicent was Shaking the Table" HBOKA "We Light the Way"
Chanel and Brandon are back with the best episode so far this season. According to Brandon, Alicent shook the table with this one! If you have been listening to us, then you know we love the messiness, and this episode had SO MUCH MESS. Game of Thrones House of the Dragon Episode 5 "We Light the Way" setup why all the characters will eventually do what they do and turn on each other, and that Viserys is still FLOPPING, Otto is still a plotter, Alicent is betrayed, and Rhanerya is feeling herself.
DHKA "And Aegon Was His Name" HBOKA "Second of His Name"
Brandon and Chanel are back to recap and review Season 1 Episode 3 of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, episode titled "Second of His name." This time, we had a 3 years time jump, but not to worry, we're still getting our mess in. We finally got a big action set piece, Otto Hightower is still the messiest of them all, and Chanel and Brandon disagree on the motives of Alicent. This show has got us back in Westeros, and we look forward to seeing what's coming next.

DHKA "Can I Live?" HBOKA "The Rouge Prince"
HBO's House of the Dragon prequel to Game of Thrones is back, and so is the plotting, backstabbing, pimping, and poetic bars. This episode drops all of that AND we got a time jump. Brandon and Chanel go through everything on Episode 2 and break it down like only we can, including AAVE translations of the olde English and High Valyrian. Featured in this episode: Otto Hightower is a wild dude, we get creepy arranged marriages, and we meet the Crab Feeder.

DHKA "Unleash the Dragon" HBOKA "The Heirs of the Dragon"
Y'all really gonna make us "Unleash The Dragon!" Man, it feels good to be back, and Chanel and Brandon are right here with you to talk about the Game of Thrones prequel series, "House of the Dragon," BPKA "House of Dragons" or #DemDragons. This show came out the blocks hot, so let's discuss all the messiness in Westeros. From the Queen Who Never Was to the petty prodigal brother to a very powerful, yet unwatchable delivery scene and everything else that happened in this premiere.

We’ve officially entered the weird zone. In Episode 5 of The Chair Company, “I Won. Zoom In.,” Ron and Mike take a road trip into the sketch-comedy Twilight Zone, and it might be the best (and most chaotic) episode yet. A Scrooge-obsessed cokehead, a method actor turned CFO impersonator, and a basement that might as well be a portal to another dimension? Yes, please.Brandon & Chanel break down all the madness:The best I Think You Should Leave–adjacent scene yet: Oliver Probblo’s “Scrooge all year” monologueRon and Mike’s descent into Ohio’s weirdest town — and why every door opens into a new nightmareA Christmas Carol-themed porn parody (seriously), a photo-hunt callback, and a coke-fueled brawlBasement chases, door slams, light pole climbing, and two concussions for RonMike’s emotional reveal: his estranged daughter, his past in the town, and his vulnerabilityDouglas survives a fridge (and drops a monologue worthy of Jim Downey’s Hall of Fame)Jamie clutches a crucifix while watching her boss lose his grip (again)That ending: Dickensian chaos, emotional catharsis, and one hell of a Scrooge punchlineThe Chair Company continues to merge paranoid 1970s thrillers with Adult Swim absurdism — and Brandon & Chanel are here for every glorious sketch-within-a-story beat.🎧 LISTEN & FOLLOW BRANDON & CHANEL — WE WAS WATCHING PODCAST🎧 Spotify → https://open.spotify.com/show/4Tx2WCy...🍎 Apple Podcasts → https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...📲 Twitter → @WeWasWatching📸 Instagram → @wewaswatching🔔 Subscribe → / @wewaswatching #TheChairCompany #TimRobinson #ZachKanin #OliverProbblo #ScroogeAllYear #TeccaChairs #WeWasWatching #HBOComedy #SketchThriller #BasementChase #RedBallTheory #ComedyRecap #ChristmasCarolChaos#TheChairCompany #TimRobinson #ZachKanin #OliverProbblo #ScroogeAllYear #TeccaChairs #WeWasWatching #HBOComedy #SketchThriller #BasementChase #RedBallTheory #ComedyRecap #ChristmasCarolChaosWe Was Watching
From the mind of Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) comes the most original sci-fi premiere in years. In Episodes 1 & 2 of Pluribus (“We Is Us” and “Pirate Lady”), a rogue radio signal from deep space triggers a global transformation — and only one person is left unconnected: speculative romance author Carol Sturka, played by a powerhouse Rhea Seehorn.Brandon & Chanel dive into everything you missed:The alien RNA signal that infects the world via… saliva and donutsRhea Seehorn’s brilliant performance as the reluctant resistanceThe arrival of Pirate Lady, a real-life version of Carol’s book characterHelen’s tragic death and what it means to “join” the hivemindSeizures triggered by Carol’s emotions (that may have killed 11 million people 😬)The mysterious 12 “immunes” — are they humanity’s last hope or just passengers?Mind-melding, wine country, Air Force One cameos, and a very weird backhoe momentGilligan’s mix of psychological dread, sci-fi absurdism, and razor-sharp comedy makes Pluribus feel like a collision of Arrival, Watchmen, and Better Call Saul. Opioids. In. The. Chairs. That’s the theory, and Ron Trosper is all in. 4 minutes in and you spoil something major that happens in the book?! Are you two serious? I wish I could rate this show the one star it deserves. Absolutely terrible. Thank you for ruining my house of the dragon experience when all I wanted to do was listen to a podcast about episode 3! Just what happened in that episode. F*$k me.
hey I'm ethnically Jewish and personally I don't mind people asking, even other white people, it makes me feel recognized, I guess it was valid that she was offended but I don't think it's a big deal.
