Description

Sword and Scale is a true crime podcast covering the dark underworld of crime and the criminal justice system’s response to it. The first episode launched January 1st, 2014 and feature stories of murder, abduction, rape, and even more bizarre forms of crime. It’s the purest form of true-crime where the raw uncensored audio tells the story. Everything from 911 calls to court testimony, interviews with victims and sometimes with perpetrators give listeners a 360 degree look at the seedy underbelly of human nature and so-called civilized society. Told from an everyman's point of view, Sword and Scale goes beyond the news clips and the sensationalist headlines to hold up a mirror to the audience and ask, "Is it us versus them? Or are we just like 'them' too?" Sword and scale proves that the worst monsters are real.

Ricky is just frustrated with his own low IQ. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost a few brain cells after listening to his police interview. A big indicator of a really stupid criminal in a police interrogation is when they say ‘I swear on my (insert someone they are supposed to care about) life’ No one actually thinks that means they are a sincere person, especially a cop who’s heard it a thousand times from guilty people!

I've not listened for a couple of years after going through their whole catalog so I started back with this episode. It really seems like Mike Boudet has just lost interest, the writing was poor, the delivery was frustrating and his little petty jabs are really tedious. I'll listen to a few more but if they're anything like this episode I'll have to hang it up.

The episode about the tragic fate of Whitney Hossler raises important questions about domestic violence and the consequences of family dysfunction. The story makes you think about the need for timely recognition of abuse and protection of victims. And if you need a distraction from heavy thoughts, you can not only listen to audiobooks but also try playing at pin up casino bono https://pinuponline.mx/bonificaciones/. -a great way to take a break.
